교과교실형 운영에 따른 중학교 시설 개선요인에 대한 교사들의 요구 분석 (Analysis of Teachers' Demands about Improving Factors of the Middle School Facilities based on the Variation Type)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand and analyze characteristics of using pattern on the physical facilities and fundamental demands about improving factors associated with management of variation type. The teachers of four middle schools are participated through questionnaires with this survey. According to the results, supplemental factors of learning activities, convenient facilities for students, factors with space utilization, moving class and arrangement of similar subject blocks are influential in order on the awareness of teachers for correspondence of variation type. In the analysis of variance based on the sampling factors, significant differences were shown in the factors of attached group, gender, age and managemental experience of variation type. Especially, the factors with moving class and convenient facilities for students are analytically more differential than the other factors, therefore, these factors must be considered in detail.

  • Lots of needs are being paid for how to design HVAC system in large-scale buildings. Increasing awareness of energy use is main point of this research. HVAC systems' energy characteristics are not clearly identified and understood, so the optimal design of HVAC system is very important. The energy parameters of HVAC design that are system input energy, water/air moving equipments (pumps/fans) energy and outdoor air conditioning energy for IAQ are important. The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for energy conservational HVAC design strategies.

상황인식 기반 지능형 최적 경로계획 (Intelligent Optimal Route Planning Based on Context Awareness)

  • Recently, intelligent traffic information systems have enabled people to forecast traffic conditions before hitting the road. These convenient systems operate on the basis of data reflecting current road and traffic conditions as well as distance-based data between locations. Thanks to the rapid development of ubiquitous computing, tremendous context data have become readily available making vehicle route planning easier than ever. Previous research in relation to optimization of vehicle route planning merely focused on finding the optimal distance between locations. Contexts reflecting the road and traffic conditions were then not seriously treated as a way to resolve the optimal routing problems based on distance-based route planning, because this kind of information does not have much significant impact on traffic routing until a a complex traffic situation arises. Further, it was also not easy to take into full account the traffic contexts for resolving optimal routing problems because predicting the dynamic traffic situations was regarded a daunting task. However, with rapid increase in traffic complexity the importance of developing contexts reflecting data related to moving costs has emerged. Hence, this research proposes a framework designed to resolve an optimal route planning problem by taking full account of additional moving cost such as road traffic cost and weather cost, among others. Recent technological development particularly in the ubiquitous computing environment has facilitated the collection of such data. This framework is based on the contexts of time, traffic, and environment, which addresses the following issues. First, we clarify and classify the diverse contexts that affect a vehicle's velocity and estimates the optimization of moving cost based on dynamic programming that accounts for the context cost according to the variance of contexts. Second, the velocity reduction rate is applied to find the optimal route (shortest path) using the context data on the current traffic condition. The velocity reduction rate infers to the degree of possible velocity including moving vehicles' considerable road and traffic contexts, indicating the statistical or experimental data. Knowledge generated in this papercan be referenced by several organizations which deal with road and traffic data. Third, in experimentation, we evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed context-based optimal route (shortest path) between locations by comparing it to the previously used distance-based shortest path. A vehicles' optimal route might change due to its diverse velocity caused by unexpected but potential dynamic situations depending on the road condition. This study includes such context variables as 'road congestion', 'work', 'accident', and 'weather' which can alter the traffic condition. The contexts can affect moving vehicle's velocity on the road. Since these context variables except for 'weather' are related to road conditions, relevant data were provided by the Korea Expressway Corporation. The 'weather'-related data were attained from the Korea Meteorological Administration. The aware contexts are classified contexts causing reduction of vehicles' velocity which determines the velocity reduction rate. To find the optimal route (shortest path), we introduced the velocity reduction rate in the context for calculating a vehicle's velocity reflecting composite contexts when one event synchronizes with another. We then proposed a context-based optimal route (shortest path) algorithm based on the dynamic programming. The algorithm is composed of three steps. In the first initialization step, departure and destination locations are given, and the path step is initialized as 0. In the second step, moving costs including composite contexts into account between locations on path are estimated using the velocity reduction rate by context as increasing path steps. In the third step, the optimal route (shortest path) is retrieved through back-tracking. In the provided research model, we designed a framework to account for context awareness, moving cost estimation (taking both composite and single contexts into account), and optimal route (shortest path) algorithm (based on dynamic programming). Through illustrative experimentation using the Wilcoxon signed rank test, we proved that context-based route planning is much more effective than distance-based route planning., In addition, we found that the optimal solution (shortest paths) through the distance-based route planning might not be optimized in real situation because road condition is very dynamic and unpredictable while affecting most vehicles' moving costs. For further study, while more information is needed for a more accurate estimation of moving vehicles' costs, this study still stands viable in the applications to reduce moving costs by effective route planning. For instance, it could be applied to deliverers' decision making to enhance their decision satisfaction when they meet unpredictable dynamic situations in moving vehicles on the road. Overall, we conclude that taking into account the contexts as a part of costs is a meaningful and sensible approach to in resolving the optimal route problem.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 컨텍스트 예측을 위한 시계열 분석 기반 사용자 모델링 (User Modeling based Time-Series Analysis for Context Prediction in Ubiquitous Computing Environment)

  • 기존의 예측 알고리즘들은 실시간 환경에서 학습 데이터 처리에서 오는 시간지연 문제, 구현의 어려움 등으로 개인화된 실시간 서비스를 제공하는 컨텍스트 인식 환경에서 사용하기에 적합하지 않다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 모델을 이용하여 컨텍스트 예측 알고리즘의 처리시간 단축과 예측 정확도를 향상시키기 위한 연구를 제안한다. 컨텍스트 예측을 위하여 사용자의 컨텍스트 중에서 이동경로를 사용한다. 이동경로를 기반으로 시계열 분석 방법을 통하여 사용자 모델을 생성하고, 생성된 사용자 모델을 시퀀스 매칭 방법을 이용하여 사용자의 컨텍스트를 예측한다. 기존 예측 알고리즘과 본 연구에서 제안한 예측 알고리즘을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 처리시간 및 예측 정확도를 비교한 결과, 실시간 서비스 환경에서 예측 정확도는 기존 예측 알고리즘들과 비슷한 결과를 보였고, 처리시간은 사용자 모델을 사용한 경우가 시퀀스 매칭을 사용한 경우보다 평균 40% 정도 감소시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

상황인식 처리를 위한 미들웨어 및 컨텍스트 서버를 이용한 응용시스템의 구현 (Implementation of an Application System using Middleware and Context Server for Handling Context-Awareness)

  • 상황인식 처리기술은 사용자의 컨텍스트에 근거하여 사용자와 장치간의 상호 운용성을 지원해 줌으로써, 사용자로 하여금 정보 획득 및 실행을 보다 용이하게 하도록 해주는 기술이다. 이는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 가장 중요한 핵심 기술중의 하나이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅에서 상황인식 처리를 위한 미들웨어 및 컨텍스트 서버를 제안하고, 이를 이용한 응용시스템을 구현한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 미들웨어는 블루투스 무선 통신 기술을 이용하여 이동성을 지닌 이동 노드를 발견하고 컨텍스트 서버로부터 해당 컨텍스트에 적합한 실행 모듈을 실행하는 기능을 담당한다. 한편, 제안하는 컨텍스트 서버는 사용자의 현재 상태, 물리적 환경, 컴퓨팅 시스템의 리소스 등의 상황 정보를 효율적으로 데이타베이스 서버에 저장하는 관리자의 역할을 수행한다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서 구현된 응용시스템은 상황정보에 근거하여 음악 재생 서비스를 제공하는 응용 시스템으로써, 아울러 본 연구에서 구축된 미들웨어 및 컨텍스트 서버의 유용성을 보이고 있다.

A Study on the Perception of Personal Mobility Vehicle for the Improvement of Pedestrian Environment for the Disabled

  • Objective: In order to secure the right to walk for the weak, such as the disabled, this study aims to suggest ways to improve the pedestrian environment by identifying factors that cause obstacles to walking. Design: Data Analysis and Perception Survey. Methods: The questionnaire was conducted separately between users of personal mobility vehicle and non-users. A total of 207 effective questionnaires were collected, and the analysis analyzed the perception of personal mobility vehicle by conducting frequency analysis using SAS 9.4. The survey focused on basic information on respondents, walking conditions, understanding of personal mobility vehicle, awareness of pedestrian space passage and parking, and awareness of the possibility of securing pedestrian rights due to new regulations. Results: First, when moving a pedestrian path by personal mobility vehicle, it shall be limited to less than the walking speed of pedestrians. Second, the parking location of the personal mobility vehicle is located at the boundary of the pedestrian road and the lane. Third, pay a fair price to park in a pedestrian space. Conclusions: It is necessary to improve the system to strengthen the contents of education to take into account the safety of pedestrians in education on how to use personal mobility vehicle.

Human Tracking Based On Context Awareness In Outdoor Environment

  • The intelligent monitoring system has been successfully applied in many fields such as: monitoring of production lines, transportation, etc. Smart surveillance systems have been developed and proven effective in some specific areas such as monitoring of human activity, traffic, etc. Most of critical application monitoring systems involve object tracking as one of the key steps. However, task of tracking of moving object is not easy. In this paper, the authors propose a method to implement human object tracking in outdoor environment based on human features in shearlet domain. The proposed method uses shearlet transform which combines the human features with context-sensitiveness in order to improve the accuracy of human tracking. The proposed algorithm not only improves the edge accuracy, but also reduces wrong positions of the object between the frames. The authors validated the proposed method by calculating Euclidean distance and Mahalanobis distance values between centre of actual object and centre of tracked object, and it has been found that the proposed method gives better result than the other recent available methods.

성별에 따라 아동이 지각한 부모의 방임학대와 지역사회 인식이 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Parental Abuse/Neglect Perceived by Child and Community Awareness of Child on School Life Adjustment according to Child Gender)

  • 본 연구는 성별에 따라 초등학교 6학년 아동이 지각하는 부모의 방임학대와 지역사회 인식이 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 본 연구의 대상은 한국아동 청소년패널조사 3차년도(2012년) 데이터로서 초등학교 6학년 학생 총 2,219명(남아 1,167명, 여아 1,052명)이었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남아가 여아에 비해 부모의 학대를 더 지각하는 것으로 나타났고 남아가 여아보다 지역사회를 긍정적으로 인식하는 것으로 나타났으며 남아가 여아보다 교우관계 적응에 어려움을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 남아가 지각한 부모의 방임과 학대는 학교생활적응의 모든 하위요인과 부적 상관을 보였고 남아가 지각한 지역사회 인식은 학교생활적응의 모든 하위요인과 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 여아가 지각한 부모의 방임과 학대는 학교생활적응의 모든 하위요인과 부적 상관을 보였고 여아가 지각한 지역사회 인식은 학교생활적응의 모든 하위요인과 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 남아와 여아 모두 부모의 학대와 방임을 덜 지각할수록, 지역사회가 안전하고 믿을만하다고 지각할수록 학교생활적응을 더 잘 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 초등학교에서 중학교로 이행해가는 전이과정에 있는 6학년 아동의 학교생활적응을 향상시킬 수 있는 부모의 방임학대와 지역사회 인식의 기초자료를 제공하였다는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

Measuring Situation Awareness of Operating Team in Different Main Control Room Environments of Nuclear Power Plants

  • Environments in nuclear power plants (NPPs) are changing as the design of instrumentation and control systems for NPPs is rapidly moving toward fully digital instrumentation and control, and modern computer techniques are gradually introduced into main control rooms (MCRs). Within the context of these environmental changes, the level of performance of operators in a digital MCR is a major concern. Situation awareness (SA), which is used within human factors research to explain to what extent operators of safety-critical systems know what is transpiring in the system and the environment, is considered a prerequisite factor to guarantee the safe operation of NPPs. However, the safe operation of NPPs can be guaranteed through a team effort. In this regard, the operating team's SA in a conventional and digital MCR should be measured in order to assess whether the new design features implemented in a digital MCR affect this parameter. This paper explains the team SA measurement method used in this study and the results of applying this measurement method to operating teams in different MCR environments. The paper also discusses several empirical lessons learned from the results.

무선 센서 네트워크에서의 자기센서기반 이동경로 추적과 데이터 처리 모듈 (Route Tracking of Moving Magnetic Sensor Objects and Data Processing Module in a Wireless Sensor Network)

  • 센서네트워크 환경에서 이동객체의 위치추적방법은 추적방법론에 따라 데이터의 수신과 위치추적의 정확성에 문제가 있었으며, 이러한 위치데이터는 오로지 위치 추적만을 위한 데이터이었기에 주변의 환경 데이터를 활용하여 상황에 맞는 정보판단 또는 모니터링에 한계가 있었다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위한 방법으로 상황인식(context aware)을 종종 활용하는데, 본 문은 자기센서를 기반으로 측정된 자성체(magnetic line tracer)의 자성데이터 위치 추적 및 제어에 관한 데이터처리에 상창인식을 활용한 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 센서네트워크 노드의 자기센서의 자성데이터 측정과 주변 환경정보 데이터를 이용하였고, 이러한 데이터를 상황인식 데이터베이스의 엔트리로 구성함으로써 추후 행동정보 추론 및 제어할 수 있다. 아울러 제안된 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 센서네트워크 환경을 만족하는 테스트베드를 구축하였으며, 이를 이용한 라인트레이서의 위치 추적과 경로탐색의 결과를 도출하였으며, 도출된 데이터를 근거로 하여 주변 환경정보 데이터베이스 엔트리 및 상황인식에 따른 라인트레이서의 방향제어에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.
