The results of analyzing the changes in residents' perceptions of the village development project according to the frequency of words are as follows. It was found that talking about surrounding factors had a greater influence than individual factors of keywords. In addition, the frequency of word use had a positive effect on the resident's perception. It was analyzed that items with high awareness of resident prior to resident competency-enhancing education had a low impact.

  • The purpose of this study was to understand current food consumption phenomena in the context of Korea's consumption culture and economy. For this purpose, food consumption phenomena and the underlying meaning of consumption culture were investigated. The study indicated that current food consumption phenomena were characterized by increased eating habits away from home, consuming more fast food and processed foods, westernized diet, eager for taste, and overwhelming well-being products, which could result in environmental problems as well as malign physical and mental defects. It was argued that current food consumption phenomena had been mainly affected by the commercial food industry and consumers' cultural consideration. Finally, this paper discussed several approaches to motivate consumers' awareness and how to change their food consumption culture, and further government policy efforts.

  • A number of urban renewal projects are currently being implemented around the world. Current project management tools are limited in effectively dealing with numerous issues regarding management of these projects (e.g., simultaneous execution of multiple projects). As an effort to address this deficiency, an Intelligent Program Management Information System (i-PgMIS) was developed for effective management of urban renewal projects. The i-PgMIS is a web-based system consisting of various modules including cost management, schedule management, risk management, change management, eco-value engineering (EVE) and so on. Based on the recognition of increasing awareness of creating sustainable built environment, this paper focuses on the EVE module that can support eco-value analysis at program-level management. The EVE module is expected to enhance value and sustainability of construction processes throughout the whole 'program' lifecycle and further to support program feasibility study based on life cycle costing.

  • The Joseon Dynasty lasted for 618 years, from 1392 to 1910, and is regarded as one of the development periods of Korea in various areas, including politics, culture, economy, and society. During this period, the government undertook various measures to try to change the state of the economy and generally transform people's living standards. These were some of the strategies founded on Confucianism, which focused on the right way to govern and manage the economy to attain prosperity for the society. The present study explores government development strategies for improving the economy in Joseon Dynasty period using comprehensive literature analysis via Kci, Scopus, Web of Science databases. Indeed, agricultural transformations during the Joseon dynasty clearly show that knowledge and innovation were critical for encouraging agricultural growth. Therefore, today's South Korean government can implement technological advancement and research to improve its agricultural value chain and food security. Many farmers lack knowledge about improved methods of practicing agriculture or have inadequate capital to invest in research and development; these issues can be dealt with by the relevant government agencies putting in place necessary policies and creating awareness through educational programs and articles.

  • Purpose: To assess Google Trends (GT) search behavior regarding orofacial pain (OFP) and headaches. Methods: GT scores for OFP and headache specialists between February 2013 and December 2022 were analyzed. Statistical tests such as Poisson regression analyses, mean differences, and Cohen's D were used to assess the score change over time. Results: The top three search words for OFP specialists were "temporomandibular joint (TMJ) specialist," "TMJ doctor," and "TMJ dentist," whereas the top three search words for headache specialists were "Headache specialist," "Headache doctor," and "Migraine specialist." Here, TMJ is temporomandibular joint. The GT scores for OFP specialists increased significantly (p<0.05) for all years except 2017, with the highest mean difference in 2020. The scores for headache specialists showed similar trends but gradually. Conclusions: The interest in OFP and headache specialists expressed by Google searches has increased over the years. The desirable on serving calorie was selected as 100kcal(51%) or 50kcal(38%) by dietitians. The dietitians in this study understood very well dietary guidelines(86.5%) and food guidelines(88.5%) for Korean, and 66.1% dietitians wanted to unify both guidelines. In case of unification of guidelines, dietitians answered that 7-8 items(30%) or 5-6 items(27%) should be included in guideline. In the question about reference value for daily allowance, most dietitians(56%) satisfied with the present various reference values for various generation while 28% of dietitians wanted to change to have one reference value (standard with 2000kcal, adult female).
