  • 본 논문은 영상 속 객체와 배경의 컬러 특징을 이용한 주요 객체의 자동 추출 방법에 관한 연구이다. 인간이 객체를 판단할 때에는 배경과 객체의 색상 차이를 이용하는데 이러한 요소를 객체 추출 방법에 적용시키기 위해서는 배경과 객체의 색차를 강조하여야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 원 RGB 영상을 인간의 시각 시스템과 유사한 HSV 색 공간으로 변환하고 각기 다른 분포도의 메디안 필터를 적용한 두 개의 영상을 생성한 뒤 두 개의 메디안 필터가 적용된 영상들을 합산하였고 데이터 군집화 방법인 Mean Shift 알고리즘을 적용하여 색상 특징을 그룹화 하였다. 마지막으로 이진화 작업을 위하여 영상의 채널 수를 3 채널에서 1 채널로 정규화 한 뒤 영상 내 픽셀들의 평균값을 임계값으로 이용하는 이진화 방법으로 객체 지도 영상을 생성하였고 주요 객체를 추출하였다.

Body Image, Eating Behavior, and Weight Control Practices among Korean Adolescent Girls

  • This study was designed to investigate body image, objective and subjective measurements of body size and shape, eating behavior, and weight control practices in 650 Korean adolescent girls; 500 of the subjects were 14 years old and enrolled in middle schools, while the remaining 150 were 17 years old and enrolled in high schools. Subjects responded anonymously to a self-administered questionnaire. The results showed that average height and weight of the subjects were 157cm and 49.5kg, respectively, while subjects ideal heights and weights averaged 164cm and 48kg, respectively. The ideal adult body heights and weights proposed by the subjects averaged 172cm and 55kg respectively. Over 50% of the subjects were dissatisfied with their body image; the degree of dissatisfaction with body image was higher in those who believed themselves to be fat. Most of the subjects wanted to lose weight and had tried to lose weight. Self-reported weight control practice methods included reducing food intake (31.9%), skipping meals (29.6%), exercise (25.8%), using slimming machines (6.9%), and using diet pills (5.1%). The heavier the subjects weight was, the greater the difference between the subjective and objective evaluations of body size. The body image scores of subjects who perceived themselves as fat were significantly lower than those of subjects who perceived themselves as normal or underweight. The difference between subjective and objective evaluations of body size, and the degree of obesity, were significantly higher in those subjects who had experience of weight control than those who had no experience of weight control. These results suggest that nutrition and health education programs for adolescent girls should be researched and implemented in order to establish a more realistic body image, positive habits in weight control, and healthful eating habits.

인구통계적 특성에 따른 선호 헤어스타일 및 헤어추구이미지와의 관계: 미용실 방문객을 중심으로 (The Relationship between Preferred Hairstyle and Pursued-Image of Hairstyle according to Demographic Characteristics: Focusing on Hair Salon Visitors)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the difference between preferred hairstyle and pursued-image of hairstyle according to demographic characteristics. The method of this study is a content analysis and survey research using a questionnaire, which consisted of items of pursued-image of hairstyle, preferred hairstyle and demographic characteristics. 450 women were selected as subjects of this study; they were randomly selected from hair salon located in Seoul, Inchon and Bundang. For the material analysis, We used the statistical program of SPSS 12.0; frequencies, factor nalysis, one-way ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test, T Test and ${\chi}^2$ Test were carried out as the methods of analysis. The research findings were as follows. First, the results of hairstyles according to the content analysis usually resulted 5 hairstyles, such as cuts and crew cut, bobbed hair, long layered hair styles and nonelayered long hair styles. Second, under the survey regarding the difference of preferred hairstyle and pursued-image of hairstyle according to demographic characteristics. variety of hair styles due to the subjects were more willing to try a consciousness about other's suggestions and how they are portrayed. Moreover a low level of education was ralated to a attempting a variety of styles, considering their social life. Subjects with higher age, education level and salary preferred a glamorous image as well as crew cuts. Which made them look younger. However, when they were younger, they preferred long nonelayered hair styles. In conclusion, age, average monthly income and education level are important variations affecting the property of change in hairstyles and pursued-image of hairstyles.

간 초음파영상에서 컴퓨터보조진단을 이용한 미만성 간질환의 영상분석 (Image Analysis of Diffuse Liver Disease using Computer-Adided Diagnosis in the Liver US Image)

  • 본 연구는 간 초음파영상에서 통계적 속성 기반의 밝기 히스토그램에 기초한 픽셀 질감분석 파라미터(평균밝기, 왜곡도, 균일도, 엔트로피)와 간과 콩팥실질의 밝기 차를 이용한 영상분석을 통해 미만성 간질환의 컴퓨터보조진단 적용 가능성을 알아보고자 하였다. 실험은 간 초음파영상(정상, 지방간, 간경화)에서 관심영역($50{\times}50$픽셀)을 설정하고 4가지의 픽셀 질감분석 파라미터와 간과 콩팥의 실질 밝기의 차를 이용하여 질환인식률을 평가하였다. 그 결과 평균밝기, 균일도, 엔트로피의 질환인식률은 100%, 왜곡도 96%로 높게 나타났으며, 간과 콩팥의 실질 밝기 차는 정상 $-1.129{\pm}12.410$, 지방간 $33.182{\pm}11.826$으로 뚜렷한 차이를 나타내었으나, 간경화의 경우 $-1.668{\pm}10.081$로 정상과는 다소 작은 차이를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 높은 질환인식률을 보인 픽셀 질감분석 파라미터와 실질 밝기 차를 이용한 컴퓨터보조진단은 미만성 간질환의 감별에 유용한 도구로써 임상적인 활용 가능성이 있으며, 판독 오류를 최소화하고 정확한 진단과 치료방향 제시에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

Visibility of Internal Target Volume of Dynamic Tumors in Free-breathing Cone-beam Computed Tomography for Image Guided Radiation Therapy

  • Respiratory-induced dynamic tumors render free-breathing cone-beam computed tomography (FBCBCT) images with motion artifacts complicating the task of quantifying the internal target volume (ITV). The purpose of this paper is to study the visibility of the revealed ITV when the imaging dose parameters, such as the kVp and mAs, are varied. The $Trilogy^{TM}$ linear accelerator with an On-Board Imaging ($OBI^{TM}$) system was used to acquire low-imaging-dose-mode (LIDM: 110 kVp, 20 mA, 20 ms/frame) and high-imaging-dose-mode (HIDM: 125 kVp, 80 mA, 25 ms/frame) FBCBCT images of a 3-cm diameter sphere (density=0.855 $g/cm^3$) moving in accordance to various sinusoidal breathing patterns, each with an unique inhalation-to-exhalation (I/E) ratio, amplitude, and period. In terms of image ITV contrast, there was a small overall average change of the ITV contrast when going from HIDM to LIDM of $6.5{\pm}5.1%$ for all breathing patterns. As for the ITV visible volume measurements, there was an insignificant difference between the ITV of both the LIDM- and HIDM-FBCBCT images with an average difference of $0.5{\pm}0.5%$, for all cases, despite the large difference in the imaging dose (approximately five-fold difference of ~0.8 and 4 cGy/scan). That indicates that the ITV visibility is not very sensitive to changes in imaging dose. However, both of the FBCBCT consistently underestimated the true ITV dimensions by up to 34.8% irrespective of the imaging dose mode due to significant motion artifacts, and thus, this imaging technique is not adequate to accurately visualize the ITV for image guidance. Due to the insignificant impact of imaging dose on ITV visibility, a plausible, alternative strategy would be to acquire more X-ray projections at the LIDM setting to allow 4DCBCT imaging to better define the ITV, and at the same time, maintain a reasonable imaging dose, i.e., comparable to a single HIDM-FBCBCT scan.

3차원 스캔한 인체 샅부위의 결측부위 복원 방법 비교 (Comparison of the Editing Method of Missing Area in 3D Scanned Image of Men's Crotch)

  • The shape of crotch area is very important to develop functional clothing as well as other ergonomic goods such as chair or saddle etc. However, it is inevitable that 3D scanned image of crotch would have missing part due to its folded shape including overlapping legs nearby. Therefore, the objectives of this research was to compare reconstruction methods of missing parts at crotch using seven dummies of real men's replicas. Two reconstruction methods adopted were kinds of 'fill- hole' in Rapidform 2004, one was 'smooth' and the other was 'curvature'. Each restored image was compared with the original shape of the dummies. As results, the average distance was 0.66mm between original and 'smooth' treated images and 0.59mm between original and 'curvature' treated, which was not statistically different. Average area of restored crotch region was $8740.04cm^2$ by 'smooth' method and $8405.02cm^2$ by 'curvature' method which is close to the original area of $8413.76cm^2$. Statistical difference was found between images of original and 'smooth' ones$(p=0.04^*)$. However, there was no difference between original and 'curvature' treated images, which indicates that 'curvature' method is more useful to fill the hole compared with 'smooth' method.

자체 개발한 하악거상 기구를 활용한 소아 REVERS WATER'S View의 유용성 (The study about usefulness of utilizing self-development jaw lift tool in pediatric Revers water's view)

  • This study is to provide clinical data when reverse-water's-view was carried out about pediatric who did not communicate by applying self-development jaw lift tool. This study were conducted in a subject of 23 children who examined revers-water's-view from 2013 July 6 to 2013 August 5 at our hospital. Two group time which were carried out revers-water's with tool and without tool were measured. also, Image of two group were evaluated. Evaluation data obtained by measuring the average difference were analyzed by independent-t-test. After apply self-development-jaw-lift-tool, time was reduced by 35.2%(36.6sec). the results indicated significant differences(p< .05). Image evaluation was increase 43.5%(1.03point), It was statistically highly significant difference (p< .01). If apply self-development-jaw-lift-tool in pediatric revers-water's-view, operator can provide fast, convenience, high quality image to pediatric.

선형 MSR을 이용한 역광 영상의 명암비 향상 알고리즘 (Contrast Enhancement Algorithm for Backlight Images using by Linear MSR)

  • In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to improve the contrast ratio, to preserve information of bright regions and to maintain the color of backlight image that appears with a great relative contrast. Backlight images of the natural environment have characteristics for difference of local brightness; the overall image contrast improvement is not easy. To improve the contrast of the backlight images, MSR (Multi-Scale Retinex) algorithm using the existing multi-scale Gaussian filter is applied. However, existing multi-scale Gaussian filter involves color distortion and information loss of bright regions due to excessive contrast enhancement and noise because of the brightness improvement of dark regions. Moreover, it also increases computational complexity due to the use of multi-scale Gaussian filter. In order to solve these problems, a linear MSR is performed that reduces the amount of computation from the HSV color space preventing the color distortion and information loss due to excessive contrast enhancement. It can also remove the noise of the dark regions which is occurred due to the improved contrast through edge preserving filter. Through experimental evaluation of the average color difference comparison of CIELAB color space and the visual assessment, we have confirmed excellent performance of the proposed algorithm compared to conventional MSR algorithm.

GMA 용접로봇용 용접선 시각 추적 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Visual Sensor System for Weld Seam Tracking in Robotic GMA Welding)

  • In this study, we constructed a preview-sensing visual sensor system for weld seam tracking in real time in GMA welding. A sensor part consists of a CCD camera, a band-pass filter, a diode laser system with a cylindrical lens, and a vision board for inter frame process. We used a commercialized robot system which includes a GMA welding machine. To extract the weld seam we used a inter frame process in vision board from that we could remove the noise due to the spatters and fume in the image. Since the image was very reasonable by using the inter frame process, we could use the simplest way to extract the weld seam from the image, such as first differential and central difference method. Also we used a moving average method to the successive position data of weld seam for reducing the data fluctuation. In experiment the developed robot system with visual sensor could be able to track a most popular weld seam, such as a fillet-joint, a V-groove, and a lap-joint of which weld seam include planar and height directional variation.

핵의학 간담도 스캔 시, 전면상과 우측 측면상에서의 담낭박출률에 대한 비교 및 고찰 (Comparison and Review of GBEF% on the Anterior and Right Lateral Images of Nuclear Hepatobiliary Scan)

  • 핵의학 간담도 검사 시, 담낭의 수축력을 정량적으로 평가하기 위하여 지방식(fatty meal)을 이용한 전면상에서의 담낭박출률(gallbladder ejection fraction ; GB EF%)을 진단에 이용하고 있다. 하지만, 담낭과 다른 구조물이 전면상에서 겹쳐질 경우, 담낭 박출률 평가가 정확히 이루어지지 않는다. 이러한 오차를 줄이기 위해 본 연구에서는 전면상과 우측 측면상에서 계산한 GBEF%의 유의한 차이가 있는 지 알아보고자 한다. 본원에 내원한 임의의 환자 50명을 대상으로 $^{99m}Tc$-Mebrofenin 370 MBq를 정맥주사 후 간담도 검사를 실행하였다. 검사는 SKYLIGHT(Philips, United States)을 이용하여 10분, 20분, 30분, 60분, 그리고 지방식(치즈와 우유)을 시행하고 30분 후에 90분 째, 전면상과 우측 측면 영상을 획득하였다. JETstream workspace 프로그램에서 60분째와 90분째 전면상과 우측 측면상에서 GBEF%을 구하였다. 보다 정확한 관심영역 설정을 위해 CT영상을 참고하였고, 4명의 방사선사가 동일한 영상에서의 GBEF%을 구하여 평균값을 계산하였다. 통계분석프로그램SPSS version23(SPSS Inc. USA)을 이용하여 전면상과 우측 측면상에서 GBEF%의 차이에 유의한 차이가 있는지 평가하였다. 무작위 50명 환자의 전면상에서 GBEF%의 평균값은 63.2고, 우측 측면상에서 GBEF%의 평균값은 62.7으로 전면상 대비 우측 측면상에서 0.5% 감소하였다. 전면상과 우측 측면상에서 GBEF%의 대응표본 t-검정 결과 P>0.05으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 이를 통해 전면상에서 담낭과 다른 구조물이 분리되지 않아 담낭박출률의 오차가 발생하는 경우, 우측 측면상을 이용하여 GBEF%을계산하면 보다 더 정확한 담낭박출률이 평가되는 것으로 사료된다.
