자동차용 연료펌프의 진동 저감에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Reduction of an Automobile Fuel Pump)

  • This article presents the reduction of vibration generated by an automobile fuel pump. In order to analyze the vibration of the fuel pump, a simplified dynamic model is established, which is composed of a rigid rotor and a equivalent springs. The equivalent stiffnesses of the upper and lower assemblies are evaluated by the comparison of modal testing results and the finite element analysis. The stiffness for the oil film of the journal bearing is extracted by using Reynold's equation. In addition, the time responses for the vibration of the fuel pump are computed by using a commercial multi-body dynamics software, RecurDyn. Based on these results, some design suggestions are proposed to reduce the vibration of an automobile fuel pump.

  • 본 논문에서는, PIFA 끝 부분을 접은 DMB 차량용 폴디드 PIFA를 제안한다. PIFA의 단락스트립 반대편 끝 부분을 접음으로써 1/4 파장이 아닌 1/10 파장에서 공진 주파수가 형성된다. 이는 PIFA에 비해 60 % 정도의 안테나 크기 축소 효과를 가진다. 또한 기생패치를 사용했을 때 폴디드 PIFA는 대역폭이 늘어난다. 따라서 제안된 안테나는 차량용 지상파 Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) 안테나로 응용이 가능하다.

  • 20 vol.$\%$ SiC를 포함한 두 층간의 $Si_{3}N_{4}/SiC$ 나노 복합재료는$\alpha$ $-Si_3N_4$,13 nm 크기의 나노탄소 분말 그리고 $5\;wt$\%\;Y_2O_3$의 분말로 두 단계 소결을 통하여 제작된다. $Si_3N_4$ 입계 사이의 결합은 소결 후 변하지 않고 남은 compact와 $51\~62\%$의 기공으로 얻어진 표면적 사이의 반응에 의해 생성된다. 이 연구에서는 Ti 합금을 SiC 층에 브레이징을 이용하여 제작하고 기계적 특성을 연구하였다. 다양한 변형율과 결합물의 강도, 변형율 증가에 따른 층간 변화를 연구하였다. 층간 파괴 형태는 금속과 브레이징 합금 사이의 파괴, 세라믹과 브레이징 합금 사이의 파괴, 그리고 세라믹 내부에서의 파괴를 보였다.

  • Self-piercing rivet(SPR) is mechanical joining methods and which can be joining dissimilar materials. Unlike conventional riveting, SPR also needs no pre-drilled holes. During plastically deformation, SPR pierces upper sheet and joins it to under sheet. SPR has been mainly applied to the joining the automobile body and some materials, such as glass fiber reinforced polymer and aluminum alloy, which represent the sheet-formed materials for lightweight automobile. Glass fiber reinforced plastic(GFRP) has been considered as a partial application of the automobile body which is lighter than steels and stronger than aluminium alloys. It is needed SPR to join Al alloy sheets and GFRP ones. In this paper, in order to design the rivet and anvil, which are suitable for GFRP, the joinability was examined through simulations of SPR joining between GFRP and Al alloy sheets. For this study, AutoCAD was used for the modeling and the simulated using commercial FEM code DEFORM-2D. The simulated results for SPR process joining between GFRP and Al alloys were confirmed by the same conditions as experimental trials.

  • It is almost impossible to secure the reproductibility and stability of a commercial Thick-Film Metal Oxide Semiconductor Gas Sensor since it is very difficult to keep the consistency of the manufacturing environment. Thus it is widely known that the general Semiconductor-Oxide Gas Sensors are not appropriate for precise measurement systems. In this paper, the output characteristic analyzer of the various Thick-Film Metal Oxide Semiconductor Gas Sensors that are used to recognize the air quality within an automobile are proposed and examined. The analyzed output characters in a normal air chamber are grouped by sensor ranks and used to fill out the characteristic table of the Thick-Film Metal Oxide Semiconductor Gas Sensors. The characteristic table is used to determine the rank of the sensor that is equipped in the current air cleaner system of an automobile. The proposed air control system can also adapt the on-demand operation that recognizes the history of the passenger's manual-control.

회귀분석을 이용한 모터싸이클 브레이크 디스크의 마멸량 예측 (Wear Loss Presumption of Motorcycle Disk Brake Using Regression Analysis)

  • The friction test using disk-on-pad type was carried out and regression analysis with friction parameters was applied fur wear loss presumption of motorcycle break disk. The wear loss has an effect on the frictional factor such as applied load, sliding speed, and number of ventilated disk hole. However, it is difficult to know the mutual relation of these factors on wear loss of motorcycle break disk. From this study, the result was shown that the regression analysis equation containing 4 elements were constructed and this equation had a trust of 95% in wear loss presumption of motorcycle break disk. It is possible to apply for another automobile parts.

텔레매틱스 단말기용 서비스 플랫폼 설계 및 구현 (A Design and Implementation of Service Platform for Telematics Terminals)

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차 관리 및 진단, 차량 편의장치 제어 동의 보다 향상된 텔레매틱스 서비스 제공을 위해 단말기용 서비스 플랫폼을 설계 구현한다. 서비스 플랫폼은 텔레매틱스용 소프트웨어를 개발하는 개발자에게 하부 자동차 내부 네트워크와 각종 하드웨어 장치, 무선 네트워크 장치에 독립적인 개발방법을 제공한다. 이를 위해 각 장치별로 제공되는 서비스를 분류하고 정형화한 텔레매틱스 API(Application Programming Interface)를 설계하였다. 제안된 서비스 플랫폼은 무선 네트워크 장치들과 단말기 간의 데이터 송수신을 위한 무선 접속부분과 자동차 내부 네트워크 장치들의 서비스를 위한 CAN 네트워크 부분, 위치기반 서비스를 위해 필요한 GPS 데이터 수신부분, 그리고 이기종의 네트워크 간 통신 시 발생하는 상이한 데이터 포맷의 상호 호환성을 위한 메시지 파서 부분으로 구성된다.

  • It is possible to shorten developing process by making model using polyurethane foam in the area of automobile development process, etc. However, this skill is too difficult to be of practical use because machining is not easy due to characteristic of polyurethane foam. Domestic and foreign automobile company use clay, polyurethane foam. etc,, those are easy to handle and to make model after completing design sketch. But these materials is difficult to the machined and be worked by humans hand, There are so many difficult problem for machining by making model using polyurethane foam since cutting of elastic body like polyurethan foam has never been studied. Therefore, in this study, it is investigated to measured cutting force that is generated in case of polyurethane foam machining, and to make systematize tool compensation of polyurethane foam cutting work on automobile model by modification of tool offset method on existing steel.

Development of Machine Vision System and Dimensional Analysis of the Automobile Front-Chassis-Module

  • In the present research work, an automated machine vision system and a new algorithm to interpret the inspection data has been developed. In the past, the control of tolerance of front-chassis-module was done manually. In the present work a machine vision system and required algorithm was developed to carryout dimensional evaluation automatically. The present system is used to verify whether the automobile front-chassis-module is within the tolerance limit or not. The directional ability parameters related with front-chassis-module such as camber, caster, toe and king-pin angle are also determined using the present algorithm. The above mentioned parameters are evaluated by the pose of interlinks in the assembly of an automobile front-chassis-module. The location of ball-joint center is important factor to determine these parameters. A method to determine the location of ball-joint center using geometric features is also suggested in this paper. In the present work a 3-D best fitting method is used for determining the relationship between nominal design coordinate system and the corresponding feature coordinate system.

수치해석을 통한 자동차 전면유리 제상성능 제어인자 연구 (Numerical Study on Control Factors of Defrosting Performance for Automobile Windshield Glass in Winter)

  • Recently, much attention has been paid in the field of defrosting because clear windshield in vehicle without effecting the thermal comfort is realized essentially. Then in winter, defrosting performance is one of the important factors in vehicle design to make certain driver's view. In this study, the velocity profile, temperature distribution and frost melting pattern on the windshield screen have been predicted in three dimensional geometry of an automobile interior. Numerical analyses predict a detailed description of fluid flow and temperature patterns on the inside windshield screen, utilizing the flow through defroster nozzle. Numerical prediction established a good defrosting performance with the standard distance ratio and the defroster nozzle angle ranging from $30^{\circ}$ to $40^{\circ}$, which satisfy the condition of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) completely.
