  • 최근 제품 판매 활동에 있어서 보증수리기간 연장과 관련 부품의 품질을 중심으로 하는 서비스 경쟁이 치열해지고 있다. 이러한 서비스 경쟁에 관련된 변수들은 대부분 명확하지 않으며, 생산 현장의 전문 지식들이 요구되기 때문에, 제품 판매에 관련된 의사결정에 있어서 보다 정교한 도구들의 사용이 요청되고 있다. 이러한 문제들은 제품 서비스 분야에 국한된 것이 아니고, 금융 관련기관, 신용 평가 기관, 보험회사와 같은 조직 및 관련 연구자들에게도 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제에 관련하여 하나의 퍼지 전문가 시스템을 임베디드 프로그램으로 개발하기 위한 접근 방식을 나타내고, 구체적으로 자동차 판매 서비스 경쟁에 있어서 중요한 부분으로 등장하고 있는 보증수리기간 연장을 중심으로 하는 의사결정 시스템을 제공하는데 있다. 퍼지 전문가 시스템의 구축 도구로는 문제와 해의 상술이 우리에게 익숙한 수학적 표현이 가능하고 사용자 중심의 통합적인 환경을 제공하고 있는 MATLAB을 사용하고, 이것을 기존 회사의 응용 프로그램에 임베디드하기 위한 API 함수들을 소개한다.

  • Engine immobilizer is the automobile security system which disables the engine if the secrete code in the transponder embedded in the key knob is not in agreement with the code in ECU of the car. There are many types of immobilizer systems, however, the encryption transponder type system is the most secure system due to the code verification method using an encryption method. As an example of the industry-university cooperation, the software development in the system is introduced in this paper.

  • 오늘날의 핸드폰, PMP, 지능형 가정기기, 자동차 엔진 컨트롤 시스템과 같은 내장형 시스템은 인간의 삶과 일, 놀이 등 살아가는 환경에 대한 전환을 가져오고 있다. 이에 따라, 내장형 시스템 응용들의 복잡성이 증가하고 있으며, 그런 내장형 컴퓨팅 플랫폼에는 시간결정성을 갖는 실시간 운영체제를 사용해야 한다. 이런 실시간 운영체제들은 예측 가능한 서비스들 뿐만 아니라 작은 실행 이미지 크기를 가져야만 하고, 커널 서비스들은 각 서비스 수행에 얼마만큼의 시간이 소요되는지를 명세하여 시간결정적 이어야만 한다. 이런 정보를 토대로, 응용 개발자들은 각 태스크가 마감시간을 준수하도록 하는 실시간 응용 소프트웨어를 설계할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 2r 레벨의 우선순위를 갖는 태스크들 중 최상위 우선 순위를 결정하는데 있어 고정 상수시간을 보장하는 다차원 기법의 실시간 태스크 스케줄링 알고리즘을 기술한다.

EE03 Development of an Automotive Anti-Theft System

  • Automotive Theft has been an obstinate problem around the world. Design and manufacture of anti-theft systems have become more and more complex due to the rise in complexity of theft in the system. Most of the anti-theft systems available in the market, are the alarm types which audibly deter some thieves away but do not prevent one's car from being stolen and even are not good enough to meet the growing complexity of theft in the country. This paper presents a simple and an efficient anti-theft system which provides improved security by the use of efficient access mechanisms and immobilization systems. This security system can immobilise an automobile and its key auto systems through remote control when it is stolen. It hence deters thieves from committing the theft. It also effectively prevents stealing of key auto systems for reselling by introducing four layers of security features written in the form of firmware and embedded on the Electronic Control Units (ECUs). The particulars of system design and operation are defined in the paper. The experimental outcomes show that this system is practicable and the owner can steadily control his vehicle within a few seconds.

자동차 차체부품 CO2용접설비 전수검사용 비전시스템 개발 (Development of a Vision System for the Complete Inspection of CO2 Welding Equipment of Automotive Body Parts)

  • In the car industry, welding is a fundamental linking technique used for joining components, such as steel, molds, and automobile parts. However, accurate inspection is required to test the reliability of the welding components. In this study, we investigate the detection of weld beads using 2D image processing in an automatic recognition system. The sample image is obtained using a 2D vision camera embedded in a lighting system, from where a portion of the bead is successfully extracted after image processing. In this process, the soot removal algorithm plays an important role in accurate weld bead detection, and adopts adaptive local gamma correction and gray color coordinates. Using this automatic recognition system, geometric parameters of the weld bead, such as its length, width, angle, and defect size can also be defined. Finally, on comparing the obtained data with the industrial standards, we can determine whether the weld bead is at an acceptable level or not.

  • 각종 첨단장비로 구성된 자동차는 편의성에 비해 안전성은 크게 강조하지 못하고 있다. 교통사고의 직접적인 원인이라고 할 수 있는 운전 중 딴 짓은 대부분 첨단장비의 인터페이스 조작에 있으며 운전자의 주의를 분산시켜 사고를 야기한다. 스마트 자동차에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 운전자 안전에 대한 다양한 연구가 모색되고 있다. 순간의 시선이동으로 인해 판단력과 조작능력을 상실 할 수 있는 현재의 인터페이스는 안전성이 보장되지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 운전자의 주의를 분산시키는 요소로 부터 안전성을 확보하기 위해서 차량 내 카메라를 이용하여 손동작을 인식하여 직관적인 제스처로 전화번호를 입력하거나 검색할 수 있는 안전한 다이얼링 시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 시스템은 직관적 동작과 TTS(Text To Speech)를 활용하여 사용자 편의성과 안전성을 높였다.

지능형 자동차의 적응형 제어를 위한 차선인식 (Lane Detection for Adaptive Control of Autonomous Vehicle)

  • Currently, most automobile companies are interested in research on intelligent autonomous vehicle. They are mainly focused on driver's intelligent assistant and driver replacement. In order to develop an autonomous vehicle, lateral and longitudinal control is necessary. This paper presents a lateral and longitudinal control system for autonomous vehicle that has only mono-vision camera. For lane detection, we present a new lane detection algorithm using clothoid parabolic road model. The proposed algorithm in compared with three other methods such as virtual line method, gradient method and hough transform method, in terms of lane detection ratio. For adaptive control, we apply a vanishing point estimation to fuzzy control. In order to improve handling and stability of the vehicle, the modeling errors between steering angle and predicted vanishing point are controlled to be minimized. So, we established a fuzzy rule of membership functions of inputs (vanishing point and differential vanishing point) and output (steering angle). For simulation, we developed 1/8 size robot (equipped with mono-vision system) of the actual vehicle and tested it in the athletics track of 400 meter. Through the test, we prove that our proposed method outperforms 98 % in terms of detection rate in normal condition. Compared with virtual line method, gradient method and hough transform method, our method also has good performance in the case of clear, fog and rain weather.

Free vibration analysis of trapezoidal Double Layered plates embedded with viscoelastic medium for general boundary conditions using differential quadrature method

  • This paper studies the free vibration behavior of trapezoidal shaped coupled double-layered graphene sheets (DLGS) system using first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) and incorporating nonlocal elasticity theory. Two nanoplates are assumed to be bonded by an interlayer van der walls force and surrounded by an external kelvin-voight viscoelastic medium. The governing equations together with related boundary condition are discretized using a mapping-differential quadrature method (DQM) in the spatial domain. Then the natural frequency of the system is obtained by solving the eigen value matrix equation. The validity of the current study is evaluated by comparing its numerical results with those available in the literature and then a parametric study is thoroughly performed, concentrating on the series effects of angles and aspect ratio of GS, viscoelastic medium, and nonlocal parameter. The model is used to study the vibration of DLGS for two typical deformation modes, the in-phase and out-of-phase vibrations, which are investigated. Numerical results indicate that due to Increasing the damping parameter of the viscoelastic medium has reduced the frequency of both modes and this medium has been able to overdamped the oscillations and by increasing stiffness parameters both in-phase and out-of-phase vibration frequencies increased.

Experiment of an ABS-type control strategy for semi-active friction isolation systems

  • Recent studies have discovered that a conventional passive isolation system may suffer from an excessive isolator displacement when subjected to a near-fault earthquake that usually has a long-period velocity pulse waveform. Semi-active isolation using variable friction dampers (VFD), which requires a suitable control law, may provide a solution to this problem. To control the VFD in a semi-active isolation system more efficiently, this paper investigates experimentally the possible use of a control law whose control logic is similar to that of the anti-lock braking systems (ABS) widely used in the automobile industry. This ABS-type controller has the advantages of being simple and easily implemented, because it only requires the measurement of the isolation-layer velocity and does not require system modeling for gain design. Most importantly, it does not interfere with the isolation period, which usually decides the isolation efficiency. In order to verify its feasibility and effectiveness, the ABS-type controller was implemented on a variable-friction isolation system whose slip force is regulated by an embedded piezoelectric actuator, and a seismic simulation test was conducted for this isolation system. The experimental results demonstrate that, as compared to a passive isolation system with various levels of added damping, the semi-active isolation system using the ABS-type controller has the better overall performance when both the far-field and the near-fault earthquakes with different PGA levels are considered.

PDA 기반의 차량 진단신호의 원격 계측 (Remote Measurement for Automobile′s ECU Diagnostic Signals based on the PDA)

  • In this paper, we present a new method for monitoring of ECU's self diagnostic signals of vehicle without wire. In order to measure the ECU's self diagnostic signals, the interfaced circuit is designed to communicate ECU and a designed display terminal according to the ISO, SAE regulation of communication protocol standard. A 80C196KC processor is used for communicating ECU's self diagnostic signals and the results are sent to PDA monitoring system. Software on PDA is developed to monitor the ECU's self diagnostic signals using the Embedded Visual C++ compiler in which RS232 port is programmed by half duplex method. The algorithms for measuring the ECU's self diagnostic signals are verified to monitor ECU's state. At the same time, the information to fix the vehicle's problem can be shown on the developed PDA software. The possibility for remote measurement of ECU self diagnostic signal using PDA is also verified through the developed systems and algorithms.
