Techno - Economic Issues of Electronic Journal for Implementation (전자저널 도입의 기술.경제적 타당성 검토)

  • As a new medium for knowledge diffusion, E-Journal is expected to be a general type of scholarly communication. However, the techno - economic problems have hindered the advancement of the E-Journal. For the technical aspects, there are problems such as the standardization of document format, automatization of the document preparation, forward and backward link between documents. Also there are necessities for the support of the information infrastructure of digital library and information superhighway. For the economic domain, reengineering of total publishing cycle is considered and the new paradigm of peer review is analyzed. We pointed out that the main difficulties in the diffusion of E-Journal are on the promotion of service and technological advance, not the price and marketing strategy.

  • Our status of off-shore stow-net fishery is in face with many difficult problems; the lack of fisherman by evading the 3-D occupation, the safety accident by unskilled crew and old type fishing system. In order to solve those problems, it is necessary to save the man power and ensure the safety of fishing work by the effective utilization of power and automatization of fishing gear system. This is consists of the side drum driven by main engine, the net hauler, the bow and stern capstan, jib crane etc. Therefore, we suggest the design on unification of power device of fishing gear system as follows; (1) fishing system by uni-hydraulic power and (2) fishing system by electric motor and electro-hydraulic power.

  • Cathode ray tubes (CRT) are the most common electronic display in use in information technology. The CRT consists of an electron gun, electrostatic or magnetic fields to direct the electron beam, and a phosphor screen. When the electron beam strikes the phosphor screen, the phosphor generates light. The phosphor screen has formed by precipitation method, electro-forming and centrifuge method. The high quality product was achieved by electro-forming or centrifuge method. Now applying method is electro-forming used with phosphor and Eh(isopropyl alcohol). Now applying method has been much consumption of raw-material, dirty working environment, dangerous fire and require of high cost. New method to form phosphor surface of monochrome is required to improve this matter. This study was developed novel method to form the phosphor surface by heat-transfer method. This method have advantages of simple process, automatization, clean environment, saving raw material and saving running-cost.

A Study on Manufacture of Phosphor Screen for Video Phone Tube (Video Phone Tube用 형광박의 제조에 관한 연구)

  • The video phone tube (VPT) of monochrome CRT have utilized home door phone, fish-finder and the rear watch monitors. Phosphor screen formation is made by electrodeposition spin coating and thermal transfer methods etc. Recently, thermal transfer method was developed, as a novel method, to form the phosphor surface for mnonchrom VPT. This method have advantages of simple process, automatization, clean environment, saving raw material and saving running-cost. In this study, it was developed new phosphor of VPT, and tested about phosphor paste properties. An experimental studies of VPT as a new phosphor property and improved VPT's manufacturing process shortening and brightness. As thermal transper method is a paste processing, it is important that rheology of phosphor effects on the formation of phosphor screen. Hence this paper was studied rheology properties of phosphor paste and the formation of phosphor screen had looked most suitable condition. Experimented thermal separation properties of low calcination temperature resin and the result analyzed comparison by TGA. Also, examined calcination properties to reduce remaining binder phosphor.

  • A prototype of the feeding-milking robot was developed in the Hungarian Institute of Agricultural Engineering in 1988-89. Before starting with the operation tests the cleaning system had to be elaborated . The cleaning system has two parts. Those are the complete cleaning of the system, producing a practically sterile state, as well as flushing through the milking device between milking of two cows. Separate electronic sensor development was necessary for both system which can connect to the control system of the robot. To clean the system pneumatic air input was applied. As an effect of the local adjustment of the electronic control system optimal flow conditions can be formed what is more favourable comparing to the earlier solutions of cleaning due to the mechanical effect. In the flushing through overpressure air is applied. The air and the cleaning liquid input duration can be adjusted to the local conditions. The electronic control unit can be connected to the electric ircuits of robot.

  • With the advent of the 21th century, Korea surrounded by the three sides of the sea has been underlining the fact that it will become one of the strongest maritime powers near future as ever in the past. The study shows that in order to build up Korea as a powerful maritime country, not only should we urge its government to take more in-depth political interest in the field of the shipping industry, but the effective training and the managing program for sea-farers employing in th forefront of the shipping business(as the centric panel of the competent merchant marine officers) also have to be taken into a sufficient consideration. According to the large scale, higher speed and automatization of vessels, a number of seamen who have so well-workable brain as to dexterously operate the up-dated scientific equipments have come into be demanded. This study therefore has not only suggested that an improvement for the system of the education for merchant marine officers and the effective scheme of the management on them, but especially underlined the problems of seamen' and their families' economic and social securities as well.

  • Increased complexity of products and their manufacturing processing demans higher quality control and monitoring than ever before. Therefore, flexible automatization or flexible manufacturing systems (FMS) offer numerous advantages over alternative manufacturing methods. In this state, a in-process monitoring is one of the important flexible automation system. And as use of NC and CNC machine tool has been increasing, cutting work has automating and it is necessary to develop the automatic production system combined a couple of machine tool. Thus, in this paper to search examination it can measure the tool wear and the tool life and can be more practical research subject.

  • This study is under doing to suggest application manual using assembling reference plane design & standard finish material basis upon material classification code as a tool of a linkage between building design and construction standarization in order to enlarge the applicability of house building material that is produced by the module plant. We can say the goal of building standardization intend not only the improvement of construction productibility but also guarantee of subsequent performance through automatization basis upon informationalization of building design. For a etabilishing of this condition, it is neccessary to link the standardization's result of material--design--construction field. According to this neccessity, we are going to suggest information factor that can make relative business manager easily approach to the standardization practical task.

  • The automatization by industrial robot of today is merely rely on to the simple position repeating works, but requirements of research and development to the force control which would adapt positively to various restriction or contacting works to environment. In this paper, a learning control algorithm using, neural networks is proposed for the position and force control by a direct-drive robot. The proposed controller is the feedback controller to which the learning function of neural network is added on to and has a character of improving controller's efficiency by learning. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by the experiment on the hybrid position and force control of a parallelogram link robot with a force sensor.

Feasible Design Area of 4 Bar Input Crank for 3 Position Synthesis of Watt-II 6 Bar Mechanism (6 절기구 응용을 위한 3 위치 운동 생성용 4절 가구 합성을 위한 입력 크랭크의 합당해 영역)

  • In many automatization applications, a rigid body is required to go forward and backward repeatedly through a set of given position/orientations precisely while a crank is rotated. Such a motion can be generated by 6 bar mechanism adding a dyad to a 4 bar mechanism. If this is the case for 3 position synthesis of the 4 bar mechanism, the feasible solution area for designing the 4 bar mechanism will be limited over the general solution area. This paper proposes a procedure to synthesize 4 bar mechanism to be used to generate the required motion. It is found that the only input crank of the 4 bar mechanism should be limited to satisfy the condition. And the feasible design area for the circle point/ center point of the input crank is identified so that design of the undesired mechanism could be avoided. The method is tested and the results are shown.
