  • This study was intended to develop the automatic feeding depth control system of the head-feed combine which could feed the rice head into threshing unit at the optimal depth regardless of plant height and uneven ground surface. In the control system, one-board microcomputer was used for the controller instead of conventional electric circuits. Field test of the combine equipped with the control system was conducted to evaluate its overall performance. It was also investigated how the location and time delay of rice head sensor affect the system performance.

  • Water pollution of coast has a significant impact on the fish farm and fisheries. For solving the water pollution problems the fish farms are moving to the open sea. The fish farms in open sea have to operate by the automatic feeding system and remote monitoring system for safety and management. This paper describes an automatic feeding system for fish farms in open sea. Water temperature and fish weight will change depending on the amount of feed. And the fish farm temperature is changed extremely in open sea than on land side. This paper described that the feed amount is calculated automatically according to temperature, fish weight, and the automatic feed system. And the performance of automatic feed system is verified with test model for operation test.

  • This paper is about the development results of an automatic silkworm breeding system to reduce labor and time by automatically performing the works for silkworm droppings changing and feed its food. It consists of an automatic guided vehicle and a processing unit. The automatic guided vehicle transports a silkworm dropping changing frame mounted on a silkworm tray stand, and the processing unit takes over the dropping changing frame on it, removes excrement contained the droppings changing frame and feeds silkworm food. In the case of the current silkworm farming, because the breeding period for large silkworms (4 to 5 stage) is short to 14 days and the supply of mulberry leaves takes 98% of the total amount of mulberry leaves needed for breeding silkworms at this time, labor concentration is intensive, and all breeding works depends on manpower. Therefore, it was difficult to breed large silkworms on a large scale. Moreover, silkworms are bred by adding Silkworm bed (Seop) and mulberry in the silkworm tray, and their droppings changing is to separate silkworms and excrement by moving silkworm trays one by one, and the production cost increases due to the high-cost manpower for silkworm breeding. To solve this problem, technology for automating silkworm breeding has also been developed. However, there is still a limitation that silkworm feeding and droppings changing works are not suitable for mass breeding because a lot of labor and time are spent depending on manual work. Therefore, a new silkworm breeding system for breeding silkworm automatically is needed and so we developed an Automatic Silkworm Breeding System applying the droppings change frame, the inverting unit, the feeding silkworm food device and automatic guided vehicle.

  • In this paper, we proposed the automatic cutting mechanism of the perforation pipes in an automobile muffler. This cutting mechanism makes continuous work possible, because it performs the batch work via the sequential operation of loading, feeding, cutting, and discharging. The proposed cutting mechanism consists of the frame unit, escape unit, turning unit, feeding unit, vision system, clamping unit, spindle/cutting unit and cooling unit. And, these mechanisms have been modularized through mechanical, dynamical and structural optimized design using the SMO (SimDesigner Motion) analysis module. Also, the virtual prototype was carried out using the 3-D CAD program. The cutting process cycle is performed in the order of loading, vision processing, feeding, clamping, cutting and discharging. And the cycle time for cutting one piece was designed to be completed in four seconds.

  • The machine vision system has been widely applied at automatic inspection field of the industries. Especially, the machine vision system shows good performance at difficult inspection field by contact method. In this paper, the automatic system of a slant method to inspect screw/bolt shape using machine vision is developed. The inspection system uses pattern matching method that search similar degree of the lucidity, the average lucidity, length and angle of inspection set up area using a circular scan and a line scan method. Also the feeding method for inspection product is the slant method, and feed rate is controlled by the ramp angle adjustment. This inspection system is composed of a feeding device, a transfer device, vision systems, a lighting device and computer, and is composed the sorting discharge system of the inferior product. The performance test carried out the feeding speed, the shape correct degree and the sorting discharge speed according to the type of screw/bolt. This sorting inspection system showed a satisfied test results in whole inspection items. Presently, this sorting inspection system is being used in the manufacturing process of screw/bolt usefully.

  • In this paper, we propose the Micturition training and Automatic feeding system to enable busy modern people can grow pets more efficiently. This system will be able to operate a smart phone application with a Bluetooth, furthermore, by using the Wifi access the Internet from anywhere and to operate remotely. This system is divided micturition board feeding unit. micturition board consists of a water pressure sensor for detecting micturition and recorder module, speaker for voice output, feeding unit consists of two servo motor for auto feeding and Bluetooth sensor for remote control. Both micturition board and feeding unit produced Arduino board and C language-based Arduino sketch program, feeding unit was able to communicate with the library to support Bluetooth communication.

  • Methods of discharging each graded agricultural product are divided into two according to the type of feeding. One is based on feeding objects using a series of specially designed holders mounted with an equal interval. The other is randomly feeding objects while being isolated without a specific interval. In this paper, a real time simultaneous discharge algorithm, which is good for objects randomly fed individually and for multi-objects located along a series of discharge buckets, was developed. And the developed algorithm was implemented to the controller and the performance was verified using the system developed for dried mushrooms. The discharge system used for the experiment was composed of a variable speed conveyor, a series of double channel bucket mounted along both sides of the conveyor, and a series of air nozzles and optic sensors. Developed algorithm worked perfectly and could be directly used for automatic discharge system for randomly feeding agricultural products.

  • In this study, study, about Automatic Loader and Unloader system which can directly be used for material handing and tool operating is moving linear transfer system for mainly forming of small electronic unit and other at press line. This system for been installed in a press in order to load and unload a workpiece from a press die. Control method be used Programmable logic control(PLC) unit. other Control equipment of system is Motor drive, Positioning Control and so on. It took data of input from each sensor and send signal of output to actuator by sequence program. We try to Characteristics test of this system has good condition when operating by laser measurement

  • Due to the increase in single-person households among the people who have companion animals, it is difficult to feed them to companion animals in the absence of the owner, so an automatic feeding machine was designed. In this paper, we propose an automatic feeding machine that has a drug distribution function as well as feeds using the Arduino platform. It is expected that in the proposed automatic feeding machine, users can access the food service through the website, and experience the convenient and extended food service function through the automatic dispensing system that combines the two materials.
