Test Cases Generation Method for GUI Testing with Automatic Scenario Generation (시나리오의 자동 생성을 통한 GUI 테스트 케이스 생성 방법)

  • In these days GUI components are recognized as the important driving elements to the successful software development. Thus they must be verified. In practice, however, GUI testing for verifying the GUI components needs lots of time and high costs. Test automation for GUI testing is a promising solution to save those expenses. In this paper, we discuss some issues considered to perform GUI testing and suggest a new method that improve the GUI test case generation method based on our previous 'record & playback' approach. For this, we suggest the event generation method using the 'spy' technique and the scenario generation method that generates effectively a lot of scenarios with the generated events. In turn we describe how to create GUI test cases from the generated scenarios.

Development of Resistivity Seismic Flat Dilatometer Testing System for Characterizing Soft Soil Site (연약지반조사를 위한 전기비저항 탄성파 Flat DMT 장비의 개발 및 적용)

  • The aim of this paper is development of resistivity seismic dilatometer (RSDMT) system. The resistivity module for obtaining apparent resistivity depth plot and seismic module for obtaining shear wave velocity (Vs) depth plot are attached to the conventional flat dilatometer testing equipment. From shear wave velocity profile, the stiffness at low strains of a site can be evaluated in undisturbed condition. And the resistivity value contains some information about water content and mineral characteristics of clayey soil. Specially manufactured resistivity and seismic modules were connected between commercialized DMT blade and drilling rod. To enhance reliability and repeatability of RSDMT test, automatic testing system including notebook based data acquisition system and automatic surface source system were developed. RSDMT system can be performed rapidly and can obtaine more reliable data at the same point compared with the separated testing system. The verification studies for the developed RSDMT system are going to be performed. From these studies, the effectiveness of integrated hybrid testing system will be checked in light of proper evaluation of geotechnical design parameters of clayey soils.

  • As software becomes large-scale and complicated, the need for Quality Assurance and management is increased and software testing is becoming more important. The main aims of software testing are not only detecting and handling the defects in the system but also investigating and managing the present system. But automatic testing tools require lots of time and efforts to detect and manage the risk in the system because test-cases used in the general automatic testing tools have the simply static information. In this thesis, the dynamic management technique for weighted testcases is designed to test the high-risk testcases preferentially by giving the testcases dynamic weight.

  • Parallel processing has the potential to be cost effectively used on computationally intense power system problems. But this technology is not still available is not only parallel computer but also parallel processing scheme. Testing these algorithms to ensure accuracy, and evaluation of their performance is also an issue. Although a significant amount of parallel algorithms of power system problem have been developed in last decade, actual testing on processor architectures lies in the beginning stages. This paper presents the parallel processing algorithm to supply the base being able to treat power flow by newton's method by the distributed memory type parallel computer. This method is to assign and to compute teared blocks of sparse matrix at each parallel processors. The testing to insure accuracy of developed method have been done on serial computer by trying to simulate a parallel environment.

  • This paper proposed the Automatic defect testing technology which used in the defect test of printed things and external shapes in the precision industry. According to adapting the very high speed image processor called ASIC for high resolution. This system also realized that the System being able to perform the very high speed resolution testing. As the image processing algorithm, Run-length coding, Multi-level threshold and fast-adaptive line matching were applied.

  • Stockigt sizing test, which is readily affected by individual tester's bias as well as testing conditions in recognizing red coloration, had to be modified to improve its reliability and reproducibility. The novel testing system with the automatic recognizing program of red coloration was developed with the auxiliary equipments including an automatic liquid dispenser and a specimen shifter. The analysis program used a hue value of a droplet image in recognizing a point of time on red coloration instead of RGB values that are not similar to human perception of color. Hue was more sensitive in recognizing the red coloration of a droplet than the other two factors, Saturation and Value. During the test, the program records the time consumed up to a specific hue value of a droplet on a specimen. Differently from the conventional test, the automatic test could obtain a reliable and reproducible sizing degree with a minor error. Furthermore, the Stockigt sizing degree measured by the automatic system showed great correlations with contact angle and Hercules sizing degree. It means that such great correlations will contribute to the development of an integrated measuring system capable of predicting contact angle, surface tension, surface energy and Hercules sizing degree of paper and paperboards through the Stbckigt sizing test. It was meaningful to note that the automatic system for Stbckigt sizing test might be able to used to predict contact angle, Hercules and Cobb sizing degree, based upon the high correlation coefficients.

  • Computer testing system for pumps is an automatic measuring and testing system micro computer. There are two functions to this system. 1. Automatically controlling the testing processes. It includes controlling to testing devices, adjusting test points and starting or stopping the pump. 2. Automatically collecting and calculating the testing data. It includes the collection and calculation of the parameters to be measured, printing the testing reports and plotting the testing curves. When using it the measuring accuracy may be improved and the time for testing may be compressed by use the system . So it is used widely on the world. In this paper the basic construction and the work principle and the testing processes are described.

  • This paper introduces the development of automatic system for estimation of digital relay performance. We have developed an automatic estimation system "HRV2004(Himap Relay function Verifier 2004)" for digital relay in 2004 and it has been verified in the field for one years. This paper describes the development details and field experience of HRV2004. HRV2004 can perform a series of jobs required for the relay testing in one environment and could handle most of all models of protective relay currently produced by Hyundai Heavy Industries. The functionality of this program consists of GUI of relay setting for beginner, fault record analysis and relay performance estimation. The core of this system is an automatic reporting of estimation test. If user is only click a button for relay estimation and one will received testing report to deliver customer. Additional benefit is fast response than the manual estimation. For example, the manual estimation takes spending 6 hours but this system is about 15 minutes.
