The proposed method in this study is the Maximal Concept-Strength Recognition Method(MCR). In case that we don't know which database is the most suitable for automatic-classification when new database is imported, MCR method can support to select the most similar database among many databases in the legacy system. For experiments, we constructed four heterogeneous scholarly databases and measured the best performance with MCR method. In result, we retrieved the exact database expected and the precision value of MCR based automatic-classification was close to the best performance.
There is increasing interest in text analysis based on unstructured data such as articles and comments, questions and answers. This is because they can be used to identify, evaluate, predict, and recommend features from unstructured text data, which is the opinion of people. The same holds true for TEL, where the MOOC service has evolved to automate debating, questioning and answering services based on the teaching-learning support system in order to generate question topics and to automatically classify the topics relevant to new questions based on question and answer data accumulated in the system. Therefore, in this study, we propose topic modeling using LDA to automatically classify new query topics. The proposed method enables the generation of a dictionary of question topics and the automatic classification of topics relevant to new questions. Experimentation showed high automatic classification of over 0.7 in some queries. The more new queries were included in the various topics, the better the automatic classification results.
The tire manufacturing process demands classification of tire types when the tires are transferred between the inner processes. Though most processes are being well automated, the classification relies greatly upon the visual inspection of humen. This has been an obstacle to the factory automation of tire manufacturing companies. This paper proposes an effective vision systems which can be usefully applied to the tire classification process in real time. The system adopts a parallel architecture using multiple transputers and contains the algorithms of preprocesssing for character recognition. The system can be easily expandable to manipulate the large data that can be processed seperately.
We have developed a automatic surface inspection system for cold Rolled strips in steel making process for several years. We have experienced the various kinds of surface inspection systems, including linear CCD camera type and the laser type inspection system which was installed in cold rolled strips production lines. But, we did not satisfied with these inspection systems owing to insufficient detection and classification rate, real time processing performance and limited line speed of real production lines. In order to increase detection and computing power, we have used the Dark Field illumination with Infra_Red LED, Bright Field illumination with Xenon Lamp, Parallel Computing Processor with Area typed CCD camera and full software based image processing technique for the ease up_grading and maintenance. In this paper, we introduced the automatic inspection system and real time image processing technique using the Object Detection, Defect Detection, Classification algorithms. As a result of experiment, under the situation of the high speed processed line(max 1000 meter per minute) defect detection is above 90% for all occurred defects in real line, defect name classification rate is about 80% for most frequently occurred 8 defect, and defect grade classification rate is 84% for name classified defect.

For the exact status of the land such as land cover classification and land use classification, feature classification system has been utilized in several organizations and agencies. However, those classification systems are limited to detection of land change and it's also not suited for the extraction of land changed. In this study, we would proposed a standard feature classification system which presents both in natural and artificial change of land effectively. Based on comparison and analysis of domestic and foreign relevant feature classification system, we proposed a standard feature classification system. In order to validate the applicability of the proposed feature classification system, we evaluated the accuracy with using automatic feature classification based on supervised classification and pre-knowledge hierarchical classification.

Music markets have entered the era of streaming. In order to select and propose music that suits the taste of music consumers, there is an active demand and research on an automatic music genre classification system. We propose a method to improve the accuracy of genre unclassified songs, which was a lack of the previous system, by using a generative adversarial network (GAN) to further develop the automatic voting system for deep learning music genre using Softmax proposed in the previous paper. In the previous study, if the spectrogram of the song was ambiguous to grasp the genre of the song, it was forced to leave it as an unclassified song. In this paper, we proposed a system that increases the accuracy of genre classification of unclassified songs by converting the spectrogram of unclassified songs into an easy-to-read spectrogram using GAN. And the result of the experiment was able to derive an excellent result compared to the existing method.
Mammogram is one of the important techniques for mass detection, which is the early diagnosis stage of a breast cancer. Especially, the CAD(Computer Aided Diagnosis) using mammogram improves the working performance of radiologists as it offers an effective mass detection. There are two types of CAD systems using mammogram; automatic and semi-automatic CAD systems. However, the automatic segmentation is limited in performance due to the difficulty of obtaining an accurate segmentation since mass occurs in the dense areas of the breast tissue and has smoother boundaries. Semi-automatic CAD systems overcome these limitations, however, they also have problems including high FP (False Positive) rate and a large amount of training data required for training a classifier. The proposed system which overcomes the aforementioned problems to detect mass is composed of the suspected area selection, the level set segmentation and SVM (Support Vector Machine) classification. To assess the efficacy of the system, 60 test images from the FFDM (Full-Field Digital Mammography) are analyzed and compared with the previous semi-automatic system, which uses the ANN classifier. The experimental results of the proposed system indicate higher accuracy of detecting mass in comparison to the previous systems.
An automatic speech recognition system is one of the popular research problems. There are many research groups working in this field for different language including Japanese. Japanese vowel recognition is one of important parts in the Japanese speech recognition system. The vowel classification system with the Mamdani fuzzy inference system was developed in this research. We tested our system on the blind test data set collected from one male native Japanese speaker and four male non-native Japanese speakers. All subjects in the blind test data set were not the same subjects in the training data set. We found out that the classification rate from the training data set is 95.0 %. In the speaker-independent experiments, the classification rate from the native speaker is around 70.0 %, whereas that from the non-native speakers is around 80.5 %.

Since the amount of E-mail messages has increased , we need a new technique for efficient e-mail classification. E-mail classifications are grouped into two classes: binary classification, multi-classification. The current binary classification methods are mostly spm mail classification methods which are based on rule driven, bayesian, SVM, etc. The current multi- classification methods are based on clustering which groups e-mails by similarity. In this paper, we propose a novel method for e-mail classification. It combines the automatic category generation method based on the vector model and the dynamic category hierarchy construction method. This method can multi-classify e-mail automatically and manage a large amount of e-mail efficiently. In addition, this method increases the search accuracy by dynamic reclassification of e-mails.

In recent years, many automatic classification approaches have been employed. An automatic classification method can be effective, time-saving and can produce objective results due to the exclusion of operator intervention. This paper proposes a classification method based on automated training for high resolution multispectral images using ancillary data. Generally, it is problematic to automatically classify high resolution images using ancillary data, because of the scale difference between the high resolution image and the ancillary data. In order to overcome this problem, the proposed method utilizes the classification results of a Landsat image as a medium for automatic classification. For the classification of a Landsat image, a maximum likelihood classification is applied to the image, and the attributes of ancillary data are entered as the training data. In the case of a high resolution image, a K-means clustering algorithm, an unsupervised classification, was conducted and the result was compared to the classification results of the Landsat image. Subsequently, the training data of the high resolution image was automatically extracted using regular rules based on a RELATIONAL matrix that shows the relation between the two results. Finally, a high resolution image was classified and updated using the extracted training data. The proposed method was applied to QuickBird and SPOT-5 images of non-accessible areas. The result showed good performance in accuracy assessments. Therefore, we expect that the method can be effectively used to automatically construct thematic maps for non-accessible areas and update areas that do not have any attributes in geographic information system.
