  • The paper describes the integrated design system using MDO and approximation technique. In MDO related research, final target is an integrated and automated MDO framework systems. However, in order to construct the integrated design system, the prerequisite condition is how much save computational cost because of iterative process in optimization design and lots of data information in CAD/CAE integration. Therefore, this paper presents that an efficient approximation method, Adaptive Approximation, is a competent strategy via MDO framework systems.

  • CAPP는 매우 광범위한 활동과 목적을 포함하는 주제이다. CAPP 연구의 목적은 우선 공정계 획의 기능을 분석하여 각 공정계획 기능의 자동화(function automation)를 이룩하고 이러한 기 능을 통합(system integration)하는 것이다. 그리고 나아가 수작업에 의한 공정계획 과정이 필 요없도록 설계와 생산을 바로 연결시키는 것이다. 형상특징(feature)과 동시공학(concurrent engineering) 등이 이러한 관점에서 이루어지고 있는 연구들이다. 자동화와 통합화를 위해서는 각종 기술적 데이터와 정보의 표준화가 필여하다. 이러한 데이터의 표준화 없이는 각종 소프 트웨이간에 호환성이 있을 수 없으며, 전체적인 통합화는 불가능하다. 그러므로 전체적인 관점 에서 각종 정보와 설계와 생산 과정에 관한 정보 표준화가 이루어지고 전체적인 통합화, 자동 화가 이루어져야 한다.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a HNCP-UPnP bridge. HNCP networked devices targeted to white goods are allowed to be controlled and monitored by UPnP Control Point. Bridge provides automated creation of UPnP proxy device and message conversion. The developed system enables integration of heterogeneous home network.

  • Injection pressure is an important factor in filling procedure for injection molded parts. In addition, weldlines should be avoided to successfully produce injection molded parts. In this study, we optimally obtained injection molding process parameters that minimize injection pressure. Then, we determined the thickness of the part to avoid weldlines. To solve the optimization problem proposed, we employed MAPS-3D (Mold Analysis and Plastics Solution-3 Dimension), a commercial CAE tool for injection molding analysis, and PIAnO (Process Integration, Automation, and Optimization) as a commercial PIDO (Process Integration and Design Optimization) tool. We integrated MAPS-3D into PIAnO, automated the analysis and design procedure, and performed optimization by employing PQRSM (Progressive Quadratic Response Surface Method) equipped in PIAnO. We successfully obtained optimization results, which demonstrates the effectiveness of our design method.

  • Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) has kept the largest amount of gene-expression microarray data that have grown exponentially. Microarray data in GEO have been generated in many different formats and often lack standardized annotation and documentation. It is hard to know if preprocessing has been applied to a dataset or not and in what way. Standard-based integration of heterogeneous data formats and metadata is necessary for comprehensive data query, analysis and mining. We attempted to integrate the heterogeneous microarray data in GEO based on Minimum Information About a Microarray Experiment (MIAME) standard. We unified the data fields of GEO Data table and mapped the attributes of GEO metadata into MIAME elements. We also discriminated non-preprocessed raw datasets from others and processed ones by using a two-step classification method. Most of the procedures were developed as semi-automated algorithms with some degree of text mining techniques. We localized 2,967 Platforms, 4,867 Series and 103,590 Samples with covering 279 organisms, integrated them into a standard-based relational schema and developed a comprehensive query interface to extract.   • Information integration of heterogeneous digital parts libraries or electronic pars catalogs is one of issues in B2B procurements. We need to provide an integrated view for multiple information sources. Utilization of ontologies as the metadata descriptions of the information sources can provide an integrated view. However, in order to integrate independently developed ontologies, the mismatches among them should be resolved. In this paper, we propose an ontology of meta-concepts, i.e. meta-ontology. The meta-concepts play the role of vocabulary to describe the parts library ontologies and provide well-established ontological semantics that helps the ontology modelers to consistently identify parts library concepts and systematically structure them. Consequently, the meta-ontology reduces the differences in the way the parts knowledge is interpreted and ensures the mismatches are confined to manageable mis matches, so that a software program can merge automatically. Modeling ontologies of mold and die parts libraries for B2B e-commerce is taken as an example to show how to use the meta-ontology. We also discuss how a parts library mediation system can automatically merge the well-structured parts library ontologies.

  • The web environment is evolving rapidly. Testing in the web based software is an essential process to improve stability and productivity. Testing of complex web contents and ill(user interface) is most important thing. Implemented test cases are efficient when they are automated and reusable. But, most of the testing automation tools are focused on technical accessibility and functions still. A collaboration of the persons concerned and reusability of implemented test case are ignored. In this paper we propose an efficient way to design automated test case in web environment, and to share and pattern automated test cases we introduce testing framework called NTAF(NHN Test Automation Framework.). The NTAF is based on open source framework. It provides integrated testing environment that web testing cane be automated and managed continuously.

  • Multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) for a suspension component of the vehicle front suspension was performed in this research. Shapes and thicknesses of the subframe were optimized to satisfy multi-disciplinary design requirements; weight, fatigue, crash, noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), and kinematic and compliance (K&C). Analyses procedures of the performance disciplines were integrated and automated by using the process integration and design optimization (PIDO) technique, and the integrated and automated analyses environments enabled various types of analytic design methodologies for solving the MDO problem. We applied an approximate optimization technique which involves sequential sampling and metamodeling. Since the design variables for thicknesses should be dealt as discrete variables. the evolutionary algorithm is selected as optimization technique. The MDO problem was formulated three types of problems according to the order of priorities among the performance disciplines, and the results of MDO provided design alternatives for various design situations.

This paper is introduced a case for applying to maritime software development using the tool that is capable of real-time monitoring and automated documentation. Also, It is discussed the improvement of procedures for applying the expected effects and maritime SQA for the tool utilization. The Development of customized tools for maritime SQA that is reflected an improved procedure for tool is the future goals.
