In order to identify all of the requisite items for collection and preservation of the online serials, it conducts Delphi Technique researches with panels of experts from public institutions, organizations, and research institutions. It also deduces the 68 necessary detailed items to develop the operation models for preserving the online serials, and suggests 57 detailed items selected from the compatibility analysis with the investigation and examination of compatibility and urgency. It suggests the automated collection plan of contents with the application of RSS technology of transfer protocol to provide users the updated information from the sites where the contents and data have been constantly and frequently updated. This study strives to design the collection and preservation processes suitable for the online serials.
Though the productivity increased by 50% as KBCT was the first to use ATC System in Korea, productivity is unlikely to be improved any longer because of unsatisfactory detailed automation technology development. Accordingly, the government embarked on 'high efficiency ATC technology development', but it is important to avoid overlapping with other advanced technology which is already developed, and to develop differentiated technology which has the way about it. To accomplish this, this paper suggested in-depth analysis about established domestic and overseas technologies, clear goal setting to achieve world-class level productivity, and rational development road map for success in technology development. Through this, as to the ATC automatization technology development, the ports of our country precedes in a competition with the ports of the neighboring country, and it will jump to the Northeast Asia Logistics-Hub-port and a role as growth engine for next-generation in our country will be played. In addition, the result of the technology development will become the standard of the performance evaluation of the relative technique of the domestic automated terminal, and will be leads the world in this field of technology.
Smart grid is a modernized electrical grid that uses information and communication technologies to gather and act on information, such as information about the behaviors of suppliers and consumers, in an automated fashion to improve the efficiency, reliability, economics, and sustainability of the production and distribution of electricity. However, with the advent of cyber crime, there are also concerns on the security of the infrastructure, primarily that involving communications technologies. In this work, we make an in-depth investigation on the issue of security services and network loads on Smart grid. Through simulation, we analyze the relations between security services and network loads. The experimental results of this study will contribute toward designing an advanced Smart grid system that offers better quality of services. Also, the approach proposed in this study can be utilized to derive new and valuable insights in security aspects.

Space debris is the collection of objects in orbit around Earth that were created by humans but no longer serve any useful purpose. Since plenty of spacecrafts were launched in space after 1957, the number of space debris has been increased. According to USSTRATCOM, the number of space debris which are bigger than 10cm is more than 15,000. Recently two critical events were occurred. Which one was that China shot down their satellite using missile and the other was that t o satellite, Iridium 33 and Cosmos 2251, collided in space. Space debris environment in which KOMPSAT-2 is operating has been severe. This paper presents the status of space debris and international activity, and the comparison of conjunction assessment process between Korea Aerospace Research Institute and abroad satellite operation center.
The DEEP-South (the Deep Ecliptic Patrol of the Southern Sky) photometric census of small Solar System bodies produces massive time-series data of variable, transient or moving objects as a by-product. To fully investigate unexplored variable phenomena, we present an application of multi-aperture photometry and FastBit indexing techniques for faster access to a portion of the DEEP-South year-one data. Our new pipeline is designed to perform automated point source detection, robust high-precision photometry and calibration of non-crowded fields which have overlap with previously surveyed areas. In this paper, we show some examples of catalog-based variability searches to find new variable stars and to recover targeted asteroids. We discover 21 new periodic variables with period ranging between 0.1 and 31 days, including four eclipsing binary systems (detached, over-contact, and ellipsoidal variables), one white dwarf/M dwarf pair candidate, and rotating variable stars. We also recover astrometry (< ${\pm}1-2$ arcsec level accuracy) and photometry of two targeted near-earth asteroids, 2006 DZ169 and 1996 SK, along with the small- (~0.12 mag) and relatively large-amplitude (~0.5 mag) variations of their dominant rotational signals in R-band.
The Purpose Of This Paper Is To Use A Tactile Sensor To Compensate The Error Rate. Most Automated Sphygmomanometers Use The Oscillometric Method And Characteristic Ratio To Estimate Systolic And Diastolic Blood Pressure. However, Based On The Fact That Maximum Amplitude Of The Oscillometric Waveform And Characteristic Ratio Are Affected By Compliance Of The Aorta And Large Arteries, A Method To Measure The Artery Stiffness By Using A Tactile Sensor Was Chosen In Order To Integrate It With The Sphygmomanometer In The Future Instead Of Using Photoplethysmography. Since Tactile Sensors Have Very Weak Movements, Efforts Were Made To Maintain The Subject's Arm In A Fixed Position, And A 40hz Low Pass Filter Was Used To Eliminate Noise From The Power Source As Well As High Frequency Noise. An Analyzing Program Was Made To Get Time Delay Between The First And Second Peak Of The Averaged Digital Volume Pulse(${\Delta}t_{dvp}$), And The Subject's Height Was Divided By ${\Delta}t_{dvp}$ To Calculate The Stiffness Index Of The Arteries($Si_{dvp}$). Regression Equations Of Systolic And Diastolic Pressure Using $Si_{dvp}$ And Mean Arterial Pressure(Map) Were Computed From The Test Group (60 Subjects) Among A Total Of 121 Subjects(Age: $44.9{\pm}16.5$, Male: Female=40:81) And Were Tested In 61 Subjects To Compensate The Error Rate. Error Rates Considering All Subjects Were Systolic $4.62{\pm}9.39mmhg$, And Diastolic $14.40{\pm}9.62mmhg$, And Those In The Test Set Were $3.48{\pm}9.32mmhg,\;And\;14.34{\pm}9.67mmhg$ Each. Consequently, Error Rates Were Compensated Especially In Diastolic Pressure Using $Si_{dvp}$, Various Slopes From Digital Volume Pulse And Map To Systolic-$1.91{\pm}7.57mmhg$ And Diastolic $0.05{\pm}7.49mmhg$.

In this paper, we describe the development of a bioreactor for a cell-culture experiment on the International Space Station (ISS). The bioreactor is an experimental device for culturing mouse muscle cells in a microgravity environment. The purpose of the experiment was to assess the impact of microgravity on the muscles to address the possibility of long-term human residence in space. After investigation of previously developed bioreactors, and analysis of the requirements for microgravity cell culture experiments, a bioreactor design is herein proposed that is able to automatically culture 32 samples simultaneously. This reactor design is capable of automatic control of temperature, humidity, and culture-medium injection rate; and satisfies the interface requirements of the ISS. Since bioreactors are vulnerable to cell contamination, the medium-circulation modules were designed to be a completely replaceable, in order to reuse the bioreactor after each experiment. The bioreactor control system is designed to circulate culture media to 32 culture chambers at a maximum speed of 1 ml/min, to maintain the temperature of the reactor at $36{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, and to keep the relative humidity of the reactor above 70%. Because bubbles in the culture media negatively affect cell culture, a de-bubbler unit was provided to eliminate such bubbles. A working model of the reactor was built according to the new design, to verify its performance, and was used to perform a cell culture experiment that confirmed the feasibility of this device.

We estimated the spatio-temporally distributed soil moisture using Sentinel-1A/B SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) sensor images and soil moisture data assimilation technique in South Korea. Soil moisture data assimilation technique can extract the hydraulic parameters of soils using observed soil moisture and GA (Genetic Algorithm). The SWAP (Soil Water Atmosphere Plant) model associated with a soil moisture assimilation technique simulates the soil moisture using the soil hydraulic parameters and meteorological data as input data. The soil moisture based on Sentinel-1A/B was validated and evaluated using the pearson correlation and RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) analysis between estimated soil moisture and TDR soil moisture. The soil moisture data assimilation technique derived the soil hydraulic parameters using Sentinel-1A/B based soil moisture images, ASOS (Automated Synoptic Observing System) weather data and TRMM (Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission)/GPM (Global Precipitation Measurement) rainfall data. The derived soil hydrological parameters as the input data to SWAP were used to simulate the daily soil moisture values at the spatial domain from 2001 to 2018 using the TRMM/GPM satellite rainfall data. Overall, the simulated soil moisture estimates matched well with the TDR measurements and Sentinel-1A/B based soil moisture under various land surface conditions (bare soil, crop, forest, and urban).

Vasopressin (VP)-related peptide was purified from the brain extract of conger eel (Conger myriaster) by reverse-phase, ion-exchange high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). This peptide with a molecular weight of 1,051.2 Da was determined as $H-Cys-Tyr-Ile-Gln-Asn-Cys-Pro-Arg-Gly-NH_2$, whose Cys residues made an intramolecular disulfide bridge by the automated amino acid sequence analysis, MALDI- TOF mass spectrometry. It's sequence was confirmed by identity of the elution position with the synthetic peptide in HPLC system. As a result of homology investigation, the primary structure of this peptide was the same as that of VP-superfamily member, $[Arg^8]-vasotocin$. The synthetic peptide showed a contractile activity at a minimal effective concentration of $10^{-10}\;M$ on the intestinal smooth muscle of goldfish.

In this study, we examined the proper spacing between the expansion joints according to the temperature load of the inter-modal terminal platform infrastructure to implement a new inter-modal automated freight transport system, which we intend to introduce in Korea. To review the proper expansion joint spacing of the terminal platforms, we set the maximum expansion joint spacing according to the regional temperature changes using the equation proposed by the Federal Construction Council (FCC) of the United States. Then, the maximum displacement value, which was calculated through the structural analysis program, and the limit of the horizontal displacement of the building structure were compared. The proper expansion joint spacing was selected as the slab length at which the maximum displacement of the structure, due to temperature changes, was below the horizontal displacement limit. Based on the application of maximum expansion joint spacing for each region calculated through the FCC's suggestion, the maximum displacement that could occur within the limit of the lateral displacement of the structure was determined.
