TFT LCD 자동생산시스템에서 Data 통신 및 응용 (Data Communications and their Applications in the Automated TFT LCD Manufacturing System)

  • The SECS Ⅰ and Ⅱ Protocol has been widely used for the TFT LCD and semiconductor industry. This paper shows how the SECS protocol is implemented for data communications between the Host (CAM) and the TFT LCD equipments. In addition, this study introduces a way to apply the SECS protocol to the manufacturing systems control. It provides better throughput in terms of production and faster control of the automated TFT LCD manufacturing system by way of shortcut and distribution of control and data communications. The SECS protocol is successfully used for the control of the real TFT LCD manufacturing system.

반도체 자동화 생산을 위한 실시간 일정계획 시스템 재 구축에 관한 연구 : 300mm 반도체 제조라인 적용 사례 (Real-Time Scheduling System Re-Construction for Automated Manufacturing in a Korean 300mm Wafer Fab)

  • 본 연구는 국내 300mm 웨이퍼를 이용하여 반도체 제품의 제조라인을 대상으로 수행 되었던 자동화 생산을 위한 일정계획 시스템 재 구축 프로젝트에 관한 내용이다. 본 프로젝트의 주요 목적은 반도체 제조라인 내의 세정, 확산, 포토, 증착과 같은 주요공정들을 대상으로 효율적인 일정계획 수립 알고리듬을 개발하고 그것을 실시간 일정계획 시스템에 구현함으로써 반도체 제조라인의 자동화 생산률을 향상시키는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 여러가지 주요 공정들 중 제한된 대기시간 제약과 배치공정의 특성이 존재하는 세정과 확산으로 이루어진 연속공정 구간을 대상으로 개발된 일정계획 알고리듬과 실시간 일정계획 시스템의 개발에 대한 내용에 초점을 두었다. 일정계획 시스템 재 구축 프로젝트가 시작 될 시점에 세정과 확산 공정의 자동화 생산률은 각각 50%와 10% 정도 였으나, 프로젝트 수행 완료 후에는 각각 91%와 83% 까지 자동화 생산률이 향상 되었다. 자동화 생산률의 향상은 작업자의 인건비 절감, 생산성의 향상, 지속적이고 편차 없는 생산을 의미한다.

  • Most of the planing models for automated manufacturing systems are based on the assumption that for each part there is only one process method available Really. for a part to be manufactured in an automated manufacturing system, a number of different process methods can be generated, each of which may require specific types of tools and auxiliary devices such as fixtures, grippers and feeders. In this paper, An optimal algorithm for the selection of a set of process methods with the minimum corresponding manufacturing cost and minimal number of tools and auxiliary devices Is proposed. The proposed optimal algorithm is based on branch and bound method which is one of the optimal solution methods.

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest the data of base for automated underwear manufacture by analyzing the technology of the automated underwear manufacturing facilities in the area of Jeonbuk with a focus on Jeonju and Iksan. The case study samples were 6 underwear firms. The results were as follows : 1. Automated underwear manufacturing systems in the area of JeonBuk introduced over the entire period between 1990 and 1997. Most of Their production type was multi-kind and small-quantity production. 2. They were using Gerber, Assyst, Lectra, Microdynamics and Investronica systems as the CAD/CAM system, of which the Gerber system was mostly used by them. 3. In the stage of production planning and in the stage of preparation for production, most of them realized automation, but in the stage of main production, every firm did not realize automation. In most cases, they used both the stage of mechanization and the stage of unit process automation.

  • Tooling is now considered as a major limiting resource for highly automated manufacturing systems to be operated unattendedly. In this paper, various issues in tooling are introduced and discussed. The importance of appropriate selection of tooling strategies is discussed and simulation experiments are performed to see how the tooling strategies affect the system performance in automated manufacturing systems. This paper also presents a tool management system developed in Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials.

레이저프린터용 닥터 블레이드 생산 자동화 (Automated Production System for Manufacturing the Doctor Blades of Laser Printers)

  • The doctor blade is a core part of a laser printer and directly influences the printing quality. The main specifications for doctor blades ate for them to be precise and durable. It is necessary to study an automatic production system for doctor blades in order to obtain high-efficient manufacturing processes. In this paper, the technology and the design of the automatic production line has for manufacturing doctor blades has been researched. The automated manufacturing process consists of five steps, which are the supplying of raw material, shearing, bending, bracket supplying, and the laser-spot welding process. The proposed automatic manufacturing system allowed for faster and more reliable production of doctor blades.

  • 쥬얼리 CAD, CAM 등의 자동화 시스템이 도입되기 이전의 쥬얼리 제조 산업은 핸드메이드, 즉 손으로 직접 만드는 방식의 원본 제작이 많았다. 그러나 자동화 시스템의 도입이후 고급기술을 가진 원본 세공기사들은 사라지고 컴퓨터디자이너와 3D프린팅 출력 기사들이 그 자리를 대신하는 추세이다. 기존의 헨드 메이드 방식의 생산라인에서 CAD, CAM 등 자동화 시스템의 도입은 디자인의 다양화, 쥬얼리 제조의 첨단화, 전문화를 이루었다. 국내 쥬얼리 산업에서 제작 공정 시 CAD, CAM등의 자동화 시스템의 의존도가 지속적으로 높아지고 있으며 대학의 쥬얼리디자인 교육과정에서도 점점 많은 부분을 차지하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 결과로 볼 때 앞으로 쥬얼리 제조 산업에서의 CAD/CAM 자동화 시스템분야는 꼭 필요한 중요한 분야가 되고 있다.

  • This paper deals with 3D simulation of industrial robot for automated manufacturing system. In order to evaluate the operational characteristics of the industrial robot system in the worst case motion scenario, flexible - rigid multibody analysis was performed. Then, the rigid body dynamics analysis was performed and the results were compared with the flexible - rigid multibody analysis. Modal analysis was also performed to confirm the dynamic characteristics of the robot system. In the case of the flexible-rigid multibody simulation, only the structural members of interest were modeled as elastic bodies to confirm the stress state. The remaining structural members were modeled as rigid bodies to reduce computer resources.

  • Until recently, Stamping tool manufacturing depend on skilled designers and technicians, because it has many parameters. So, Try-out time not controlled. We now apply CAE, preliminary experiment, material database and automated stain measurement in stamping tool manufacturing for concurrent engineering that decreases product development circle time, saves cost, improves product reliability. Automated strain analysis and measurement environment gives very accurately informations to technicians of stamping tool manufacturing. They analysed the part in problem and appled to results in Try-out step.
