2축 소형 구동기 판 스프링의 동특성 개선 (Dynamic Characteristic Improvement of the Plate Spring in a 2-axis Small Sized Actuator)

  • This paper proposed an optimal plate spring design for the optical image stabilizer in mobile phones. The voice-coil motor (VCM) with plate spring is the smallest, lowest-cost solution for auto focus on the market today and it is also the simplest to implement. The VCM is selected in this paper for auto focusing. However, the design process is complex due to the many design variables coupled to each other and some constraints of each directional motion caused by the characteristics of plate spring. Because of the complex formulation of the design objective, a plate spring design is proposed through the design of experiments to find the optimal design satisfying design constraints.

입체면 복합 폴리머 소재의 전도성 패턴 제작 기술 (Conductivity Pattern Manufacture Technology of Solid Surface Compound Polymer Material)

  • This study developed the conductivity pattern of solid surface using laser direct pattern and compound polymer material technology. For development direct patterning system of solid surface, we used the laser power stabilizer, the dynamic focusing, 3D scanner S/W and the auto aligning techniques. Also For conductivity pattern, we are developed compound polymer material with additive by electro-less plating. These technologies are already used commercially. However operation and control integrated system for direct patterning of solid surface are not yet developed. The objective of this paper is to introduce the laser direct structuring for simple process improvement instead complex PCB process, and develop the operating stability and integration system. Also we implemented new application of laser direct structuring through sample manufacture.

  • The recent increased use of mobile phone has resulted in a technical focusing on reliability issues related to drop performance. Since mobile phone may be dropped several times during their use, it is required to survive common drop accidents. The plastic injection parts such as base stopper and carrier in the encoder type actuator can be broken easily in the actual reliability test of 1.5m free drop. So, we analyzed the shock resistance characteristics of auto focus actuator with variables in the material properties using finite element method. By applying the new resin materials, we can decrease the breakage of plastic injection parts and improve the reliability of mobile phone.

  • The Ministry of Construction & Transportation(MOCT) in Korea handles electronically 38 kinds of approval and permit operations under the Construction Civil Affairs Administration System(CCAS) so that applicants may apply for construction permits with ease and concerned public offices may process effectively civil applications. In particular, road occupation permit operations have several problems to be improved. This study is aimed to improve the CCAS in terms of simplification of application receipt, issuance of online permit, auto calculation of road occupation fee, and auto issuance of payment notice.

실시간 능동 비전 카메라를 이용한 시선 위치 추적 시스템 (Gaze Detection System using Real-time Active Vision Camera)

  • 이 논문에서는 컴퓨터 시각 인식 방법에 의해 모니터 상에 사용자가 쳐다보고 있는 시선 위치를 파악하기 위한 새롭고 실용적인 방법을 제안한다. 일반적으로 사용자가 모니터 상의 한 위치를 쳐다보기 위해서는 얼굴 및 눈동자를 동시에 움직이는 경향이 있다. 기존의 시선 위치 추적 시스템은 사용자의 얼굴 전체를 취득할 수 있는 단 하나의 광각 카메라 시스템을 주로 많이 이용하였다. 그러나 이러한 경우 영상의 해상도가 많이 떨어져서 사용자의 눈동자 움직임을 정확하게 추적하기 어려운 문제점이 있다. 그러므로 이 논문에서는 광각 카메라(얼굴의 움직임에 의한 시선 위치 추적용) 및 눈 영역을 확대하여 취득하는 협각 카메라(눈동자 움직임에 의한 시선 위치 추적용), 즉 이중 카메라를 이용하여 시선 위치 추적 시스템을 구현하였다. 얼굴의 움직임 시 전체적인 위치가 변화될 눈동자의 움직임을 정확히 추적하기 위해, 협각 카메라에는 광각 카메라로부터 추출된 눈 특징점의 위치를 기반으로 한 자동 초점 및 자동 상하/좌우 회전 기능이 포함되어 있으며, 눈 특징점을 보다 빠르고 정확하게 추출하기 위해 이중 적외선 조명을 사용하였다. 실험 결과, 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 동작하는 시선 위치 추적 시스템을 구현할 수 있었으며, 이때 얼굴 및 눈동자 움직임을 모두 고려하여 계산한 모니터상의 시선 위치 정확도는 약 3.44cm의 최소 자승 에러성능을 나타냈다.

  • This study proposed a new autofocusing method for a high resolution microscope with a depth of focus of a submicron range. The experimental setup was characterized by nulling method for bi-cell prhotodiode which had two active areas on sensor surface. The optical systems used in this method had was very simple and was easily matched to microscopes which had used widely. It was shown that the resolution was very high (about 20 nm) by experimental results. This method can be used in the semiconduct industry because it can find defects on the silcon wafer.

Real-time Auto Tracking System using PTZ Camera with DSP

  • In this paper we proposed a PTZ camera system which automatically detect and track moving objects in the image. Once a moving object is detected the PTZ camera traces it in real-time. We proposed the control system which does not depend on camera focusing functionality but uses the object's center, moving direction, distance and speed. We implemented the system with the TI DM6446 DSP chip. The experimental result shows that the system has excellent performance for high speed vehicles.

  • The moving average filter in this paper, which has robust performance to the noise and can be easily implementable in hardware, is modified in view of real-time processing of the focus value. The simple hardware configurations are implemented to calculate the focus value in real-time. The stable controller of focus lens actuated by motors are designed. The hardware which are composed of EPLD, cheap vision chips, and CPU etc. are designed to perform the real-time calculation of focus value.

  • To cope with recent high gas prices and global warming phenomenon, the latest gasoline engine technologies are focusing on direction injection, downsizing by turbo charging, variable compression ratio, controlled auto Ignition to enhance fuel efficiency and satisfy emission regulations. The variable valve train technology will be a basement for these innovative technologies in internal combustion engines and is supposed to play a key role to improve low thermal efficiency and pumping loss in gasoline engine caused by low compression ratio and throttled operation respectively.

홀로그래피 입자속도 측정시스템의 개발과 분무 액적에의 적용 (Development of Holographic Particle Velocimetry System and Its Application to Spray Droplets)

  • The Holographic Particle Velocimetry system can be a promising optical tool for the measurements of three dimensional particle velocities. In this study, diffused illumination holographic system to measure the sizes and 3D velocities of moving particles based on automatic image processing was developed. First of all basic optical systems for pulse laser recording, continuous laser reconstruction, and image acquisition, were constructed. To determine the position of particles in the optical axis, new three auto-focusing parameters(AEP), namely, Correlation Coefficient, Sharpness Index, and Depth Intensity were introduced and verified. The developed system was applied to spray droplets to validate the capability of the system. Three dimensional positions of particles viewed from two sides were decided using AFP and then 3D velocities of Particles were extracted by particle tracking algorithm. Comparison of measurement results of sizes and 3D velocities of particles with those obtained by laser instrument, PDPA, showed good consistency of the developed holographic system.
