  • In this paper, if images are acquired in all-time situations through various sensors (EO/IR, SAR, GMTI, LiDAR) used for defense purposes, the images can be analyzed and expressed in augmented reality(AR). Various algorithms are used to process images with augmented reality, and depending on the situation, it is necessary to decide which algorithms to select and use. Through the performance comparison (error rate, processing time, accuracy) of SIFT, SURF, ORB, and BRISK, the representative augmented reality algorithm, it is analyzed and proposed which augmented reality algorithm is effective to use under various situations in the defense field.

  • In this paper, we propose a cultural heritage mobile augmented reality application that allows visitors to experience artifacts by augmenting prototypes, audio, video, and text information of 3D graphic artifacts of museum cultural assets. By applying augmented reality technology to a cultural product, products can be recognized on mobile phones and various historical information can be received through interaction of digital artifacts, and information can be easily and quickly checked through augmented reality mobile digital contents regardless of time and place. Through this study, we contribute to the development of digital cultural contents via mobile augmented reality and the expansion of augmented reality contents according to the types of cultural heritage for use, such as education, industry, and tourism promotion.

  • Interaction is an important component in the sense of immersion in augmented reality. However, the function of interaction in augmented reality contents is very weak. Bringing a lot of real environmental information is one of the ways to develop augmented reality, and interaction will naturally develop. In this paper, Leap Motion was used for natural interaction in augmented reality environment through the hand widely used as an interface tool, and extended more from the limited interaction of conventional display touch methods to create a natural interaction. This development of interaction will contribute to the development of various contents as well as augmented reality later.

  • Packaging protects products and delivers information to consumers, and interacts with consumers using various technologies such as NFC and QR Code. Recently, augmented reality technology is widely used in the marketing field, and augmented reality market is expected to continue to grow according to Gartner Hype cycle. However, augmented reality is only used by a few companies in the packaging field. By applying augmented reality to packaging, companies can move away from the limited packaging size and provide consumers with more information about their products. In addition, augmented reality can improve the understanding of the product to consumers by interacting with consumers through a variety of content, and positively attract consumers' interest in the brand. Therefore, this study summarized the definition, characteristics, advantages, and market status of packaging and augmented reality, and analyzed the characteristics and cases of content types of augmented reality. As a result, we confirmed the characteristics of marketing using augmented reality, and especially the necessity of applying augmented reality as a marketing tool in the field of packaging.

  • Most of the computer to implement a Augmented reality 3-D, or a graphic or visual means through the virtual space. The participants in the Augmented reality immersive virtual reality and virtual reality, the process proceeds to change the world. In particular, the field of children's games and Augmented reality fits well with the technical characteristics of the children that may lead to more interesting and creative sector is pointing to. In this study, children's games in order to maximize learning effectiveness of board games and Augmented reality technology, take a look at the characteristics of the children's educational program is to propose a new model proposal.

  • Recently as AR(Augmented Reality) is focus of attention, AR is applied to various fields and is expected its valuable use. In this paper, we suggested the method to combine existing e_Book with augmented reality technology based on mobile equipment. We ascertained that augmented reality contents implemented on PC work well in pITX embedded lines (CPU Intel ATOM Z530) and we implemented augmented reality using marker in e_ Book in pITX embedded lines through these experiments. As the result of it, we could show the contents at the same time which had difficulty to be expressed on e_Book before. Also the existing augmented reality contents could be used as it is. Finally we expected that the user could interact with virtual contents or services directly and intuitively in the real world.

  • As the number of augmented reality games using augmented reality technology increases, the demands of users are also increasing. Game technologies used in augmented reality games are mainly games using MARKER, MARKERLESS, GPS, etc. Games using this technology can augment the background and other objects. To solve this problem, we want to help develop augmented reality games by analyzing objects in the background, which is an important element of augmented reality. To analyze the background in the augmented reality game, the background object was analyzed by applying a deep learning model using TensorFlow Lite in the UNITY engine. Using this result, we obtained the result that augmented objects can be placed in the game according to the types of objects analyzed in the background. By utilizing this research, it will be possible to develop advanced augmented reality games by augmenting objects that fit the background.

  • This paper aims to improve the quality of cultural experience by providing a three - dimensional guide service that enables users to experience themselves without additional guides and cultural commentators using the latest mobile IT technology to enhance understanding of cultural heritage. In this paper, we propose a method of constructing cultural contents based on location information such as user / cultural heritage using markerless tracking based augmented reality and GPS. We use marker detection technology and markerless tracking technology to recognize smart augmented reality object accurately and accurate recognition according to the state of cultural heritage, and also use Android's Google map to locate the user. The purpose of this paper is to produce content for introducing cultural heritage using GPS and augmented reality based on Android. It can be used in combination with various objects beyond the limitation of existing augmented reality contents.

  • In this study, the 3- dimensional (3-D) learning contents are suggested using 'Augmented Reality' instead of existing 2-dimensional (2-D) learning methods. At the present, there are some 2-D learning methods using texts, image, pictures, and videos called e-learning. However, these one-way 2-D methods have some disadvantages such as declining learner's immersion and concentration. Thus, the 3-D learning contents using 'Augmented Reality' are suggested to compensate the disadvantages. According to the development of information technology (IT), the augmented reality has many applications to the era of ubiquitous. However, there are some disadvantages when learners use these contents as following; non-augmenting by partially hiding from makers and declining concentration by patterns of the makers. In this study, the beneficial marker which can solve this non-augmenting phenomenon is suggested.
