시각인터페이스적용효과 및 공간표현을 활용한 증강현실광고 사례연구 (A Case Study on Augmented Reality Advertisement using Visual Interface Effect and Spatial Expression)

  • Due to the rapid development of computer and digital technologies, those technologies were used in advertising. In order to meet the needs of marketing, a virtual space or character using 3D graphic augmented reality technology was developed and applied to advertisement. This study analyzed the characteristics of augmented reality in terms of interface design and spatial expression of augmented reality through case study. Firstly, we wanted to find the relationship between the types of the augmented reality advertisement and interface effects. Secondly, we wanted to find the spatial expression methods. The sample survey case studies based on 42 articles from 2012 to 2018 using Chinese and Korean site sharing augmented reality advertisement. The results of the case studies were divided into two parts. Firstly, the relationship between augmented reality types and interface effects were found basing on the augmented reality index. It means that the augmented reality index can be illustrated by using the augmented reality type. Simultaneously, the augmented reality type can be illustrated using the interface effect. The second part was that the types of display were used as a spatial representation. And the results showed that mobile display and public place display were the most frequently used.

JPSearch 기반 증강현실 메타데이터 스키마 (JPSearch based Metadata Schema for Augmented Reality)

  • As the applications and services based on the augmented reality are widely spread in various industry and public domain information dissemination areas, it is naturally necessary to provide the common information framework which can describe required detailed information for services. JPSearch which is released for unified access to image repositories can be utilized in this kind of infrastructure due to that the framework for augmented reality needs a constituent component which supports image repositories. In this paper, we propose a metadata schema which is designed for information architectural framework in the environment of augmented reality based on workflow. The proposed information schema can support the workflow of augmented reality related production system and service implementation.

  • In this study, the 3- dimensional (3-D) learning contents are suggested using 'Augmented Reality' instead of existing 2-dimensional (2-D) learning methods. At the present, there are some 2-D learning methods using texts, image, pictures, and videos called e-learning. However, these one-way 2-D methods have some disadvantages such as declining learner's immersion and concentration. Thus, the 3-D learning contents using 'Augmented Reality' are suggested to compensate the disadvantages. According to the development of information technology (IT), the augmented reality has many applications to the era of ubiquitous. However, there are some disadvantages when learners use these contents as following; non-augmenting by partially hiding from makers and declining concentration by patterns of the makers. In this study, the beneficial marker which can solve this non-augmenting phenomenon is suggested.

  • We propose a three-dimensional (3D) streaming system based on a lamina display that can convey field information in real-time by creating floating 3D images that can satisfy the accommodation cue. The proposed system is mainly composed of three parts, namely: a 3D vision camera unit to obtain and provide RGB and depth data in real-time, a 3D image engine unit to realize the 3D volume with a fast response time by using the RGB and depth data, and an optical floating unit to bring the implemented 3D image out of the system and consequently increase the sense of presence. Furthermore, we devise the streaming method required for implementing augmented reality (AR) images by using a multilayered image, and the proposed method for implementing AR 3D video in real-time non-face-to-face communication has been experimentally verified.

  • 기술의 발달과 함께 다양한 멀티미디어가 전시공간에 등장하고 있으며 증강현실과 같은 혼합현실 기반의 기술들도 효과적인 전시형식으로 도입되고 있다. 이 과정에는 기술의 새로움과 화려함으로 인해 전시대상의 가치가 감소되거나 전시환경 또한 복잡한 형태로 전개되는 경우가 많다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 증강현실을 대상으로 대상 지향적인 전시환경을 구현하고 기기의 개입을 최소화함으로써 보다 효율적인 전시 방법을 찾는데 목적이 있다.

  • Augmented Reality integrates virtual objects onto a real world so that it extends the human's sensibility of real-world. an Augmented Reality technology combines real and virtual object in a real environment, and runs interactive in real time, and is regarded as an emerging technology in a large part of the future of information technology. So the benefits for the various businesses are estimated to be very high. In this paper, combine ARToolkit with OpenAL we can provide audio to users. These proposed methodologies will contribute to a better immersive realization of the conventional Augmented Reality system.

  • 4 차 산업혁명 시대로 접어들면서 증강현실은 사회 전반에 걸쳐 무한한 가능성을 보여주고 있다. 하지만 현재의 헤드-마운트 디스플레이, 핸드-헬드 디스플레이 방식의 증강현실은 착용의 번거로움, 멀미 등의 여러 문제점이 있고 이에 따라 프로젝터 기반의 증강현실 기술인 공간증강현실이 각광받고 있다. 공간증강현실은 증강현실의 실재감을 높이고 사용자의 몰입을 유도하기 위해 가상 영상을 투영할 움직이는 물체에 대한 정밀한 추적이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서 개발한 적외선 센서 기반의 정밀 추적 알고리즘은 평균 오차율 1.5% 이내의 매우 견고한 추적 성능을 통해 기술적으로는 임의의 물체에 대한 추적과 같은 진보된 증강현실 기술을 향한 길을 열었고, 사회적으로는 비전문가도 사용하기 쉬운 추적 알고리즘을 통해 디자이너, 학생, 어린이들이 쉽게 자신만의 증강현실 콘텐츠를 제작, 즐길 수 있게 하였다.

증강현실 구현에서 태그를 명확하게 하기 위한 잡음 제거에 관한 연구 (The Study of Noise Reduction For Marking the Tag Clearly In Implementation of Augmented Reality)

  • Detecting marker coordinates is important in augmented reality system based on tag. If a marker is not detected, objects can't be augmented. In this paper, we propose a noise reduction method for augmented reality. Using a blue color space to HIS color transformation was performed on the binary. Erosion operator and the dilation operator of the binary images were performed. Experimental results show that proposed method produces a tag image recognizable in various light environments. And using the area of the rectangle, the labeling could be detected through the tag. Tag recognition rate is improved by removing noise.

3D 스토리텔링 증강현실에서 효과적인 객체 추적을 위한 학습 방법 (Learning Methods for Effective Object Tracking in 3D Storytelling Augmented Reality)

  • Recently, Depending on expectancy effect and ripple effect of augmented reality, the convergence between augmented reality and culture & arts are being actively conducted. This paper proposes a learning method for effective object tracking in 3D storytelling augmented reality in cultural properties. The proposed system is based on marker-less tracking, and there are four modules that are recognition, tracking, detecting and learning module. Recognition module is composed of SURF and LSH, and then this module generates standard object information. Tracking module tracks an object using object tracking based on reliability. This information is stored in Learning module along with learned time information. Detecting module finds out the object based on having the best possible knowledge available among the learned objects information, when the system fails to track. Also, it proposes a method for robustly implementing a 3D storytelling augmented reality in cultural properties in the future.
