시각인터페이스적용효과 및 공간표현을 활용한 증강현실광고 사례연구 (A Case Study on Augmented Reality Advertisement using Visual Interface Effect and Spatial Expression)

  • Due to the rapid development of computer and digital technologies, those technologies were used in advertising. In order to meet the needs of marketing, a virtual space or character using 3D graphic augmented reality technology was developed and applied to advertisement. This study analyzed the characteristics of augmented reality in terms of interface design and spatial expression of augmented reality through case study. Firstly, we wanted to find the relationship between the types of the augmented reality advertisement and interface effects. Secondly, we wanted to find the spatial expression methods. The sample survey case studies based on 42 articles from 2012 to 2018 using Chinese and Korean site sharing augmented reality advertisement. The results of the case studies were divided into two parts. Firstly, the relationship between augmented reality types and interface effects were found basing on the augmented reality index. It means that the augmented reality index can be illustrated by using the augmented reality type. Simultaneously, the augmented reality type can be illustrated using the interface effect. The second part was that the types of display were used as a spatial representation. And the results showed that mobile display and public place display were the most frequently used.

  • 최근 스마트폰 사용자가 늘어나면서 증강현실 (Augmented Reality) 기술을 활용한 제품 소개 또는 광고 마케팅이 활발히 이뤄지고 있다. 이는 실제 환경에 가상 물체나 정보를 합성하여 원래의 실제 환경에 존재하는 사물처럼 보이게 하는 증강현실을 활용한 애플리케이션들이다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 환경에서 증강현실의 기술 요소 및 관련 표준화 동향을 살펴보고, 이미지 기반의 증강현실 기술에 대한 표준화 필요성에 대해 논의한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 박물관 문화상품을 활용하여 모바일기반 증강현실 기술로 실제와 같은 디지털 3D 그래픽 유물 원형과 음성정보 이미지 Text 정보 등을 증강 시켜 박물관과 같은 유물 체험을 할 수 있는 문화유산 모바일 증강현실 콘텐츠 시스템을 구현하였다. 증강현실 기술을 문화상품 적용하여 모바일 폰으로 상품 인식하여 디지털 유물의 인터랙션을 통해 유물에 대한 특징과 다양한 역사정보를 전달받을 수 있으며 시간과 장소와 상관없이 증강현실 모바일 디지털 콘텐츠로 쉽고 빠르게 유물정보를 확인할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 모바일 증강현실 디지털 콘텐츠가 문화유산 유형에 맞게 연구되어 교육용·산업용·관광 홍보용 등 사용 목적에 맞게 개발되어 증강현실 콘텐츠 확대에 기여하고자 한다.

증강현실을 이용한 커뮤니티 기반 여행 정보 시스템 (Community-Based Travel Information System Using Augmented Reality)

  • When people go to travel, sometimes one writes many articles about the destination. Existing travel information services such as Blog, Internet Cafe, and SNS are difficult to provide realistic information since the provided information may not be a place directly on the road. This paper presents a travel information system including recommended courses, theme courses, and travel map. In addition, the proposed system can provide the functions of writing, reading, and deleting a message note that stores the travel information based on the augmented reality if a defined marker among the community members is recognized in a smartphone App. Therefore, this paper can present an implementation method for new community system using augmented reality and image processing as well as providing the conventional travel information services, and allows the user to take advantage of the realistic and accurate information.

Active Learning Environment for the Heritage of Korean Modern Architecture: a Blended-Space Approach

  • This research proposes the composition logic of an Active Learning Environment (ALE), to enable discovery by learning through experience, whilst increasing knowledge about modern architectural heritage. Linking information to the historical heritage using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) helps to overcome the limits of previous learning methods, by providing rich learning resources on site. Existing field trips of cultural heritages are created to impart limited experience content from web resources, or receive content at a specific place through humanities Geographic Information System (GIS). Therefore, on the basis of the blended space theory, an augmented space experience method for overcoming these shortages was composed. An ALE space framework is proposed to enable discovery through learning in an expanded space. The operation of ALE space is needed to create full coordination, such as a Content Management System (CMS). It involves a relation network to provide knowledge to the rule engine of the CMS. The application is represented with the Deoksugung Palace Seokjojeon hall example, by describing a user experience scenario.

  • Currently, museums and architectural heritage provide augmented user experiences by incorporating various media technologies. They still, however, suffer from the limitation of entertainment-based and the provision of location-based simple and repetitive contents. In addition, while acting as a key medium of experience for architectural heritage, the concept of space is not properly reflected in current services. The purpose of this study is to design user space experience considering such characteristics of architectural heritage. The spatial experience content and content production platform are defined. This software platform creates content that enhances the experience of the place by giving a context-based digital data associated with space and objects. The spatial experience content is designed as a series of experience sequences. The composition of the sequence borrows the method of film and narrative which segment and connect consecutive experiences on a scene basis considering user's detailed spatial experience. Therefore, content components can be combined and reproduced in various types. Augmented contents were extracted by using rule-based reasoning function of ontology at the moment. As a practical example of architectural heritage, the Seokjojeon Hall is used to reveal a spatial experience scenario.

증강현실을 이용한 복원영상의 박물관 교육분야 활용방안 (Application Method of Image Restoration based on Augmented Reality to Museum Education)

  • 최근 놀라울 정도로 변화하고 있는 정보통신기술의 발달은 증강현실의 활용을 다양하게 하고 있고, 전 세계적으로 폭발적인 증가를 보여주고 있는 스마트폰의 사용은 생활을 보다 편리하게 변화시키고 있다. 이런 변화들은 교육변화의 필요성을 제기하고 있는데, 이런 변화들로 교실이 아닌 곳에서의 체험교육을 통한 학습이 가능해지고 있다. 최첨단 미래는 결국 과거에서부터 나온 것이기 때문에, 역사교육은 등한시해서는 안 되는 분야이다. 이에 과거의 생활, 문화, 역사 등을 배울 수 있는 박물관에 최첨단 기술을 활용한 교육콘텐츠를 접목시키면 학습효과가 증대될 수 있을 것이라는 가정을 먼저 하였다. 그리고 증강현실 기반의 복원영상을 이용하여 스마트폰으로 게임이나 해설을 들으며 박물관을 관람하면 학습흥미도와 학습성취도가 높아질 것이라는 제안을 하면서 국내 박물관에서 활용할 수 있는 게임 설계를 제시하였다. 증강현실 기반의 복원영상을 이용한 스마트폰의 어플리케이션은 박물관 문화재 교육뿐만 아니라 지역축제나 유적답사 등에도 활용가능하다. 스마트폰 이용자를 위한 증강현실 기반의 복원영상을 활용한 어플리케이션의 유의미한 활용분야와 활용 방법 등을 제안하였지만, 구체적인 실현을 위해서는 구체적인 프로그램 설계와 게임디자인, 매뉴얼 구성 등과 같은 분야에서의 전진적인 연구가 계속 되어져야 한다.

  • 최근 증강현실 기술은 스마트폰 증가추세에 따라 사용자 중심의 상호작용을 지원하는 형태로 발전하고 있다. 논문에서 우리는 관광지 사물인식 기술과 사용자의 위치 정보를 이용하여 실감체험이 가능한 어플리케이션을 구현하였다. 개발 시스템은 스마트폰의 GPS와 비콘 정보를 이용하여 사용자와 관광지 사물의 현 위치를 파악한 후, 두 지점간의 거리와 방향을 계산하여 해당 관광지의 실감체험 콘텐츠를 제공한다. 실감체험 앱을 통하여 우리는 제주를 찾는 관광객들에게 제주의 문화에 대한 이해와 감동을 주는 한편, 무명 관광지의 자원화 가능성을 높이고, 제주 관광의 이미지를 개선하는 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

  • Augmented Reality (AR) is a useful technology for various industrial systems. This paper suggests a new playground system which uses markerless AR technology. We developed a virtual playground system that can learn physics and kinematics from the physical play of people. The virtual playground is a space in which real scenes and CG are mixed. As for the CG objects, physics of the real world is used. This is realized by a physics engine. Therefore it is necessary to analyze information from cameras, so that CG reflects the real world. Various games options are possible using real world images and physics simulation in the virtual playground. We think that the system is effective for education. Because CG behaves according to physics simulation, users can learn physics and kinematics from the system. We think that the system can take its place in the field of education through entertainment.

  • Today, the development of digitized information media and info-communications are bringing many changes. Due to the development of IT thechnology, we can learn wherever, whenever, regardless of time and place. Machine drawing subject is a very important in mechanical engineering course, but it's studyed only basic theory in a short period, average 1~2weeks. So that, students think that the mechanical drawing is of minor importance. Such ideas make them difficult to impove sense of space in isometric drawing and drawing skill. Therefore, in this paper, augmented reality-based contents through the system, Mechanical Drawing of education to meet the effectiveness and satisfaction, student learning can be spontaneously it was construct self-system. And, Theoretical part of the Mechanical Drawing is proposed ensure more efficient and easier training. In this paper, we were test operation for user effectualness of proposed service at Korea Polytechnics Colleges a industrial facilities management in Daegu. Target user are 66 students, and The students were divided into experimental group and comparison group. Experimental results, experimental group was able to do systematically experience many Projection Drawing and Pictorial Drawing in short schooltime. And, The test operation results showed that have the possibility to meet education effectiveness and user satisfaction in this augmented reality-based contents system.
