Analysis of Contract Price in a B2B Automobile Auction

  • This study analyzed the structure of pricing in the automobile auction market by using real trade data. We focused on the bidding behavior of bidders and the contract price of exhibits. First, we proposed a relational framework among exhibits, number of bidders, and the contract price. Next, we utilized a neural network model to estimate the number of bidders and the contract price. Subsequently, we investigated the relationship between the number of bidders and the contact price, and evaluated our method through an analysis that employed verifying data. Lastly, we listed our suggestions for bidding in auction markets.

  • As the importance of time-based competition is increasing, information systems for supporting the immediate decision making is strongly required. Especially high -tech product firms are under extreme pressure of rapid response to the demand side due to relatively short life cycle of the product. Therefore, the objective of our research is proposing a framework of estimating demand curve based on e-auction data, which is extremely easy to access and well reflect the limited demand curve in that channel. Firstly, we identify the advantages of using e-auction data for full demand curve estimation and then verify it using Agent-Eased-Modeling and Tobin's censored regression model.

  • We compare impacts of different $CO_2$ abatement mechanisms using a CGE model. Focus is on the way the tradable permits are initially distributed for emissions trading, namely auction and grandfathering. For three major energy consuming industries (basic chemical, iron & steel and electricity) in Korea, emissions trading is clearly superior to individual $CO_2$ abatement, but auction and grandfathering show somewhat different patterns of impact. We show that depending on how the government uses the revenue from permit auction, auction may be preferable to grandfathering.

온라인 경매에서 인지된 가격공정성을 매개로 한 입찰경쟁 강도 영향요인에 관한 연구 (An Investigation into Factors Influencing Competition Intensity in the Online Auction: A Mediating Role of Perceived Price Fairness)

  • There are recently several studies of online auctions which have focused on exploring a bidder's bidding behavior in IS area. Those studies, however, have been limited to account for bidders' bidding behavior in the view of TAM and trust, not considering perceived price fairness and competition intensity. Although this view point seems reasonable in the online auction sites, few previous studies employing this perspective are found in the relevant literatures. Based on it, this study developed a comprehensive model based on trust and TAM in terms of perceived price fairness to explain competition intensity in the online auction sites. This study collected 269 survey responses from online bidders who have prior experiences with online auction sites. The survey data are used to empirically verify 11 research hypothesis by using LISREL. The results indicate that trust in websites, trust in sellers and perceived usefulness have significant impacts on perceived price fairness. Finally, perceived price fairness is strongly related to competition intensity in the online auction. This study ends with theoretical and managerial implications, as well as limitations and future research.

  • Cloud computing is a new service to provide dynamic, scalable virtual resource services via the Internet. Cloud market is available to multiple cloud computing resource providers and users communicate with each other and participate in market transactions. However, since cloud computing is facing with more and more security issues, how to complete the allocation process effectively and securely become a problem urgently to be solved. In this paper, we firstly analyze the cloud resource allocation problem and propose a mathematic model based on combinatorial double auction. Secondly, we introduce a trust evaluation mechanism into our model and combine genetic algorithm with simulated annealing algorithm to increase the efficiency and security of cloud service. Finally, by doing the overall simulation, we prove that our model is highly effective in the allocation of cloud resources.

  • Research and development of grid computing ware mainly focused on high performance computing field such as large-scale computing operation. Many companies and organizations concentrated on existing computational grid. However, service grid focusing on enterprise environments has been noticed gradually. Grid service providers of service grid construct diverse and specialized services and provide service resources that have economic feasibility to grid users. But, service resources are geographically dispersed and divided into many classes and have individual owners and management policies. In order to utilize and allocate resources effectively, service grid needs a resource management model that handles and manages heterogeneous resources of service grid. Therefore, this paper presents the third party grid service marketplace model using virtualization to solve problems of grid service resource management. Also, this paper proposes resource dealing mechanism and pricing algorithms applicable for service grid. Empirical results show usefulness and efficiency of the third party grid service marketplace model in comparison with typical economic models for grid resource management such as single auction model and double auction model.

이더리움 기반의 이더를 사용한 법원 경매 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on Court Auction System using Ethereum-based Ether)

  • 블록체인 기술이 부동산 거래분야에서도 활발히 연구되고 있으며 부동산 거래는 다양한 방법이 있다. 본 논문에서는 오프라인상 법원 경매의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 이더리움의 Ether를 사용하여 경매 시스템의 인증 절차를 간소화하는 모델을 제안한다. 제안하는 모델은 이더리움의 Solidity언어로 작성하고 법원에서 매각기일 및 매물의 Meta date를 DApp 브라우저에 등록하고 입찰자는 Meta mask의 Private key를 통해 만들어진 개인의 지갑 주소에 접속한다. 그리고 입찰자는 원하는 매물을 선택, 입찰가격 금액을 입력하여 경매에 참여한다. 입찰자가 원하는 매물의 입찰가격이 가장 높은 입찰자의 기록을 이더리움 테스트 네트워크에 스마트 계약으로 작성하고 블록을 생성한다. 마지막으로 네트워크에서 작성된 스마트 계약은 법원 경매 관리자가 블록체인 네트워크의 모든 노드에 배포하고, 블록체인 네트워크의 각 노드들은 열람 및 계약을 확인할 수 있다. 제안하는 모델의 스마트 계약과 시스템의 성능을 분석한 결과로 이더리움을 이용하는 플랫폼에서 Ether를 생성 및 사용, 그리고 참여로 인해 발생하는 수수료가 있다. Ether의 가치 변화에 따라 매물의 가격에 영향을 끼치며 매번 스마트 계약에서 일정하지 않은 수수료가 발생한다. 하지만 향후 연구에서는 자체 토큰을 발행하여 Ether의 가치 변화에 따른 시세 변동성 문제와 수수료 문제를 해결하며 복잡한 법원경매 시스템을 세분화한다.

Dynamic Collaborative Cloud Service Platform: Opportunities and Challenges

  • This letter presents a model for a dynamic collaboration (DC) platform among cloud providers (CPs) that prevents adverse business impacts, cloud vendor lock-in and violation of service level agreements with consumers, and also offers collaborative cloud services to consumers. We consider two major challenges. The first challenge is to find an appropriate market model in order to enable the DC platform. The second is to select suitable collaborative partners to provide services. We propose a novel combinatorial auction-based cloud market model that enables a DC platform among CPs. We also propose a new promising multi-objective optimization model to quantitatively evaluate the partners. Simulation experiments were conducted to verify both of the proposed models.

  • Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) models have developed rapidly due to the emergence of various variation models and their wide applications. Despite many recent developments in GANs, mode collapse, and instability are still unresolved issues. To address these problems, we focused on the fact that a single GANs model itself cannot realize local failure during the training phase without external standards. This paper introduces a novel training process involving multiple GANs, inspired by auction mechanisms. During the training, auxiliary performance metrics for each GANs are determined by the others through the process of various auction methods.

사용자 요구기반의 그리드 거래 관리 모델 (User Demand-based Grid Trade Management Model)

  • 그리드 컴퓨팅의 발전이 증가함에 따라 그리드 자원 관리를 위한 중요성과 필요가 크게 늘어났다. 그러나 지리적으로 분산된 환경에서 자원을 효율적으로 분배하고 활용하는 것은 매우 복잡하다. 이것은 그리드 자원 소유주들이 서로 다른 접근 정책과 제약 조건들을 가지고 있기 때문이다. 사용자들은 그들의 요구에 따라 자원을 요청한다. 그리드 컴퓨팅 시스템의 운영자들은 이러한 요구를 반영하기 위해 시스템 상태를 모니터할 필요가 있다. 그래서 그리드 컴퓨팅 시스템은 자원의 상태를 모니터하는 자원 관리 정책을 필요로 하고 그 자원들을 할당한다. 이 논문은 사용자의 요구와 공급자의 공급 전략에 기반한 거래 할당에 의한 효율적인 자원 관리를 제공하는 사용자 요구 기반 그리드 거래 관리 모델을 제안한다. 성능을 평가하기 위해 이 논문은 자원 거래의 증가율, 거래의 평균 응답 시간, 그리고 처리 시간 활용도를 측정한다. 먼저 거래의 평균 증가율은 경매 모델과 이중 경매 모델보다 각각 585.7%, 322.6% 더 높다. 두 번째로 사용자 요구 기반 그리드 거래 관리 모델의 평균 응답 시간은 3에서 5의 시뮬레이션 시간을 유지한다. 마지막으로, 처리 시간 활용도는 경매 모델과 이중 경매 모델보다 각각 평균 145.4%, 118.0% 더 높다. 이러한 실험 결과는 사용자 요구 기반 그리드 거래관리 모델의 유용성을 입증한다.
