  • The purpose of the present paper is to study an almost generalized pseudo-Ricci symmetric manifold. The existence of such manifold is ensured by an example. Furthermore, having found, faulty example in [13], the present paper also attempts to construct a non-trivial example of an almost pseudo Ricci symmetric manifold.

  • Structualist view distinguishes structure(reality) from phenomenon(appearance). Phenomenon is the outside aspect of structure and structure is the inside aspect of phenomenon. From the structualist view, the knowledge could e divided into two parts, the appearance of knowledge(the outside aspect of knowledge)and the structure of knowledge(the inside aspect of knowledge). Structualist view advices teachers to understand knowledge more totally from the inside-outside viewpoint, and not to teach mere the one aspect of knowledge, especially the outside aspect of knowledge, that is, the written expressions in textbook, but to teach the inside and outside aspects fo knowledge totally. In the history of mathematics education, the attempts to teach the structure of knowledge were flourishing in the period of discipline-centered curriculum. 'New Math movement' represents the attempts. The advocators of New Math, however, did not succeed sufficiently to understand the inside-outside view which the term the structure of knowledge represents, and failed to make mathematics teachers to understand the view well. Their attention was put on to introduce the modern mathematics to school math rather than to understand the educational and epistemological perspective which the term the structure of knowledge represents. To teach the structure of knowledge, mathematics teacher should be able to understand mathematical knowledge more totally from the inside-outside viewpoint. Especially, s/he should not regard the outside aspect of mathematical knowledge written in textbook as the totality of knowledge, but inquire into the inside aspect of mathematical knowledge from the outside aspect of mathematical knowledge.

  • Imre Makovecz, a Hungarian architect, has chiefly known for his unique organic works. He has taken a lot of sharp criticism against mere functionalistic and stylistic approaches toward modern architecture. Instead, he has desired to pursue a true embodiment for organic beauty and hungarian cultural heritage in architecture. Although most of his works reside in Hungary, he has become an internationally recognised architect for his unique works. This article attempts to identify Hungarian culture and its influence to Makovecz's architecture. It also examines how Makovecz investigated Hungarian folk art traditions and primitive craft patterns, and then applied the lessons learned into his own architectural designs. Then, this article attempts to expose the principles of his organic architecture deeply influenced by the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner. Finally, it concludes with a discussion of the benefits and challenges of employing similar approaches for the development of a rich architectural tradition.

A Study on the Development of the Expert System for Validation of Spatial Layout in Terms of Space Program in Healthcare Architecture based on BIM Technologies - Focused on the Design Competition for Seoul Geriatric Hospital - (공간프로그램에 따른 공간배치의 유효성 평가 위한 BIM기반 병원건축 전문가시스템 개발에 관한 연구 - 서울특별시 노인전문병원 설계경기 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • The planning and design of healthcare architecture generally requires the participation and consultation of skilled experts since it has more complex space program than any other buildings. Therefore, the computer-based expert systems for the planning of healthcare architecture have been tried continuously. The recent development of BIM technologies and object-oriented CAAD systems is leading these attempts to realize gradually. Thus, this study attempts to verify whether the new evaluation model and system of the spatial layout, which are based on the validation of space program that developed in earlier studies, are applicable to real examples of design competition. Through this simulation, this study tries to find the possibility of expert systems for the planning of healthcare architecture and act as basic data for the development of new system for the integrated design environment based on BIM technologies in the near future.

  • This paper attempts to provide a way to improvement in trade & commerce between Korea and Russia, analyzing the influence of the circumstances of the Russian economy on economic relations between the two countries. The study briefly reviews the current situation of the Russian economy, and tries to examine the strong points to be considered as leverage for cooperation and the weak points to be overcome. Previous studies have determined that the Russian economy has unlimited potential for growth, because it is endowed with abundant resources, and has a government willing to reform for the opening of the economy, as well as high-quality labor. However, the economic structure is vulnerable to impact of the worldwide financial crisis. It is not possible to overlook its institutional fragility and vulnerability such as a corrupt bureaucracy or a relatively large black market. These undesirable factors may not only undermine the basis of Russia economy but also a hindrance to economic cooperation by increasing economic uncertainty. This paper attempts to analyze comprehensively the socio-economic factors that influence the open-economy of Russia, and to illustrate strategies for improvement in trade and commerce through the viewpoint of Korean firms that are already in business or are trying to enter in the near future. Some measures to improve their economic cooperation are suggested at the end.
