A Study on Smart Factory System Design for Screw Machining Management (나사 가공 관리를 위한 스마트팩토리 시스템 설계에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose a monitoring system that starts with the supply of raw materials for threading, is processed into a lathe machine, and checks for defects of the product are automatically performed by the robot with Smart Factory technology through assembly and disassembly. Completion check according to the production instruction quantity and production instruction is made by checking the production status according to whether or not the raw material is worn by the displacement sensor, and checking the pitch and the contour of the processed female and male to determine OK and NG. The robotic system acts as a relay for loading and unloading of raw materials, pallet transfer, and overall process, and it acts as an intermediary for organically driving. The location information of the threaded products is collected by using the non-contact wireless tag and the energy saving system Production efficiency and utilization rate were checked. The environmental sensor collects the air-conditioning environment data (temperature, humidity), measures the temperature and humidity accurately, and checks the quality of product processing.   • Demand for cosmetics with functionality and eco-friendliness has increased dramatically due to recent aging, well-being trends, and increased interest in beauty. Cosmetics production in 2014 was 8,970.4 billion won, an increase of about 50% compared to 6,014.6 billion won in 2010. In the midst of this, similar companies in intense competition are pursuing differentiated strategies and innovation activities to solve quality, price and delivery problems. In particular, cosmetics packaging work is getting more difficult due to the increasing bill of materials (BOM) and difficult assembly methods. Therefore, in this study, the following problems were identified and suggestions for the improvement of the packaging Many research laboratories such as biotechnology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals, which are undergoing various studies, are equipped with ready-made laboratory safety equipments such as bio-safety workbenches, aseptic bases, and exhaust workbenches. However, most researchers are disadvantaged in using existing safety equipment. This is because existing safety equipment can not take into account all of the unique characteristics of the research. For this reason, researchers are demanding the development of customized safety equipment that is well suited to their research needs. process of Company C, which is facing difficult situation to respond to the customer 's delivery due to the 52 - hour work week. First, we used the stopwatch to find the difficulty process in the packaging process and show ways to improve it. Second, to improve the efficiency of line balancing in the packaging process, we integrate processes, improve work methods, and perform simple automation. As a result, the prepare loss for replacement was reduced by 1 minute from 5 minutes, resulting in a 23% increase in productivity from 112 ea./hour to 137ea./ hour per person. At this time, the LOB of the packaging process was improved from 70% to 82% by operating one more production line through one person per line, total 9 people saving.

  • Soil nailing system can be mentioned to a method of supporting as the shear strength of in-situ soils is increased by passive inclusions. In the general soil nailing system, facing walls are used in two kind of a lattice concrete block or a cast in placed concrete wall. A case of lattice concrete blocks is used in slow slopes greater than 1(V):0.7(H). Also, a case of a cast in placed concrete wall is used in steep slopes less than 1(V):0.5(H). The cast in placed concrete walls are constructed to 30 cm thick together with a shotcrete facing. In this study, the assembling soil nailing method as a new soil nailing system will be proposed. This method is assembly construction using precast concrete panels with 20 cm thick. So, the ability of construction and the quality of facings can be improved more than a conventional soil nailing system. This method can be obtained the effects that a global slope stability increase, as precast concrete panels are immediately put on cutting face after excavating a slope. In this study, confining effects of concrete panels using the assembling soil nailing system were found out by large scaled load tests. In the tests, the load-settlement relationship to an assembling soil nailing system due to the stiff facings as concrete panels appeared to be better than a typical soil nailing system with shotcrete facings.

  • The aim of this research is to investigate the various activities of residents conducted at the regenerated Park as well as conflicts and participations of residents that appeared in the regenerative process of the Park in urban low-income group settlement where public spaces for the community are absolutely insufficient, focusing on the Jeonpo-Dolsan Park. Moreover, this research examines the influences of the newly regenerated Park on the daily lives of residents and the meanings and roles of the Park to the residents. The Park not only provided the functions of a general parks but also served the role as the space for the culture, participation, discussion and assembly. Also dirty and uncleaned landscapes was improved because of the regeneration of Park. It was confirmed that the Park contributed to elevating the life quality of residents in urban low-income group settlement by forming an open-minded village, constructing public space for the community and communicating with discontinued neighboring villages. The Park' regeneration was produced not by executing the unilateral redevelopment policy of the administration for the urban low-income group settlement but by inducing the participation of the village residents. Owing to this, the creative regeneration of the Park aroused a motive for place attachment and sense of belonging, expanded public morals and prepared the opportunity to change as a hopeful space in awareness.

Perceptions of the Security Management at Critical Facilities in South Korea: College students' attitudes toward increasing demand for security personnel and the alternatives to police (공공부문 정규직 전환 및 의무경찰제도 폐지에 따른 보안산업 변화에 대한 인식)

  • With the government policy on converting contract workers to full-time employees, there have been significant changes about the security personnel at the nation's critical facilities, including the National Assembly Building and airports. Moreover, the scheduled disbandment of the conscripted police force in 2023 has raised concerns about security management at different government agencies. To examine the college students' perceptions on the possible alternatives to fill the expected security gap, 234 undergraduate students of security management and protection in the Seoul metropolitan region were surveyed. Particularly, a comparative analysis was conducted on the legal bases and supervision, the employment types and salaries, and the scopes of responsibility and authority of suggested alternatives were compared. The results showed that utilization of private police forces was thought to be the most effective option. Based on the research findings, the university departments should develop and maintain a quality curriculum to educate their students to be prepared security professionals with a focus on emergency response capabilities and martial arts, including the courses on private police law and emergency rescue and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Development of robot calibration method based on 3D laser scanning system for Off-Line Programming (오프라인 프로그래밍을 위한 3차원 레이저 스캐닝 시스템 기반의 로봇 캘리브레이션 방법 개발)

  • Off-line programming and robot calibration through simulation are essential when setting up a robot in a robot automation production line. In this study, we developed a new robot calibration method to match the CAD data of the production line with the measurement data on the site using 3D scanner. The proposed method calibrates the robot using 3D point cloud data through Iterative Closest Point algorithm. Registration is performed in three steps. First, vertices connected by three planes are extracted from CAD data as feature points for registration. Three planes are reconstructed from the scan point data located around the extracted feature points to generate corresponding feature points. Finally, the transformation matrix is calculated by minimizing the distance between the feature points extracted through the ICP algorithm. As a result of applying the software to the automobile welding robot installation, the proposed method can calibrate the required accuracy to within 1.5mm and effectively shorten the set-up time, which took 5 hours per robot unit, to within 40 minutes. By using the developed system, it is possible to shorten the OLP working time of the car body assembly line, shorten the precision teaching time of the robot, improve the quality of the produced product and minimize the defect rate.

The Effects of Whole Body Vibration Exercise on Balance and Gait Ability in Stroke Patients: A meta-analysis (전신진동운동이 뇌졸중 환자의 균형 및 보행 능력에 미치는 효과: 메타분석)

  • This study was a meta-analysis of previous studies that subjected stroke patients to the whole-body vibration exercise, in an attempt to evaluate the effectiveness of such exercise in improving their balance and walking ability. The electronic databases used for literature search were the National Assembly Library, Korean Educational Academic Information (RISS), Korean Academic Information (KISS), and Nuri Media (DBPIA). We also investigated a prior study of the whole-body vibration exercise applied to stroke patients from January 2010 to August 2020. In assessing the quality of the study, the RCT (randomized controls trials) study used the risk of bias 2 (RoB2) tool developed by the Cochrane group. Meta-analysis was performed using R software for statistical computing version 4.0.3. The results of the study confirmed that the overall effect size was 0.40, and the whole-body vibration exercise used had a moderate effect on the balance and gait of stroke patients, the effect size of balance was 0.44, and the effect size of gait was 0.36, showing a positive effect. These results indicated that the whole-body vibration exercise is an effective intervention for stroke patients, and further research is needed.

  • OSC is drawing attention to supplement limitations such as productivity problems and on-site safety and quality problems of existing on-site labor-oriented construction production methods. In order to activate the introduction and use of OSC in the domestic construction market, it is important to innovate the technology applied to each stage of OSC process (design and engineering, factory manufacturing, site assembly, and maintenance), but it is also necessary to develop a project management method suitable for OSC method. However, research related to OSC currently being conducted in Korea is mainly in terms of related technology development, and research on deriving project management measures for the success of OSC projects is insufficient. Therefore, it is time for research on deriving a project management plan based on the core success factors of the OSC project. Therefore, by conducting importance-performance analysis on 69 OSC critical success factors derived from the previous study, the study was conducted to derive key improvement factors for OSC introduction and utilization improvement and to provide implications for this. The results of this study are expected to have useful implications for the R&D planning and policy-making process for OSC activation in the future.

A Systematic Review of the Effects of Visual Perception Interventions for Children With Cerebral Palsy (뇌성마비 아동에게 시지각 중재가 미치는 효과에 대한 체계적 고찰)

  • Objective : This study aims to analyze the effects of visual perception intervention by systematically reviewing the studies that applied visual perception intervention to children with cerebral palsy. Methods : The databases used were PubMed, EMbase, Science Direct, ProQuest, Koreanstudies Information Service System (KISS), Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), and the National Assembly Library. The keywords used were cerebral palsy, CP, and visual perception. According to the PRISMA flowchart, 10 studies were selected from among studies published from January 1, 2012 to March 30, 2022. The quality level of the selected studies, the demographic characteristics of study participants, the effectiveness of interventions, area and strategies of intervention, assessment tools to measure the effectiveness of interventions, and risk of bias were analyzed. Results : All selected studies confirmed that visual perception intervention was effective in improving visual perception function. In addition, positive results were shown in upper extremity function, activities of daily living, posture control, goal achievement, and psychosocial areas as well as visual perception function. The eye-hand coordination area was intervened in all studies. Conclusion : In visual perception intervention, It is necessary to evaluate the visual perception function by area, and apply systematically graded customized interventions for each individual.

The Construction Method for Virtual Drone System (가상 드론 시뮬레이터 구축을 위한 시스템 구성)

  • Recently, drone is extending its range of usability. For example, the delivery, agriculture, industry, and entertainment area take advantage of drone mobilities. To control real drones, it needs huge amount of drone control training steps. However, it is risky; falling down, missing, destroying. The virtual drone system can avoid such risks. We reason that what kinds of technologies are required for building the virtual drone system. First, it needs that the virtual drone authoring tool that can assemble drones with the physical restriction in the virtual environment. We suggest that the drone assembly method that can fulfill physical restrictions in the virtual environment. Next, we introduce the virtual drone simulator that can simulate the assembled drone moves physically right in the virtual environment. The simulator produces a high quality rendering results more than 60 frames per second. In addition, we develop the physics engine based on SILS(Software in the loop simulation) framework to perform more realistic drone movement. Last, we suggest the virtual drone controller that can interact with real drone controllers which are commonly used to control real drones. Our virtual drone system earns 7.64/10.0 user satisfaction points on human test: the test is done by one hundred persons.
