여수석유화학산단의 공선성 시험을 이용한 VOC 오염원 분류표 개발 (Development of the vac Source Profile using Collinearity Test in the Yeosu Petrochemical Complex)

  • The total of 35 target VOCs (volatile organic compounds), which were included in the TO-14, was selected to develop a VOCs' source profile matrix of the Yeosu Petrochemical Complex and to test its collinearity by singular value decomposition(SVD) technique. The VOCs collected in canisters were sampled from 12 different sources such as 8 direct emission sources (refinery, painting, wastewater treatment plant, incinerator, petrochemical processing, oil storage, fertilizer plant, and iron mill) and 4 general area sources (gasoline vapor emission, graphic art activity, vehicle emission, and asphalt paving activity) in this study area, and then those samples were analyzed by GC/MS. Initially the resulting raw data for each profile were scaled and normalized through several data treatment steps, and then specific VOCs showing major weight fractions were intensively reviewed and compared by introducing many other related studies. Next, all of the source profiles were tested in terms of degree of collinearity by SVD technique. The study finally could provide a proper VOCs' source profile in the study area, which can give opportunities to apply various receptor models properly including chemical mass balance (CMB).

간이이동법에 의한 폐아스콘 재생시 대기오염물의 배출분석에 대한 실험적 연구 (A Pilot Study on Emission Analysis of Air Pollutants Produced from Portable Recycling of Asphalt Concrete)

  • Currently, portable equipment for recycling of waste asphalt concrete (ASCON) has been used. However, any air pollution control devices are not attached in the simple portable one. Thus, a lot of air pollutants have been produced from recycling processes of waste ASCON which resulted from aging of paved roads or repavement of roads. This study deals with a preliminary result of concentration analysis of air pollutants obtained from a pilot and a real recycling processes of waste ASCON using simple portable recycling equipment. Air pollutants were taken from 4 steps of the pilot recycling process including an initial heating by liquid petroleum gas (LPG), intermediate heating and melting (H&M) process, final H&M process, and pavement processes using recycled ASCON at the recycling site. Also, air pollutants were taken front 4 steps of the real recycling processes including an initial H&M, final H&M and mixing, loading of recycled ASCON to dump trucks, and at the recycling site after leaving the loaded dump trucks for real pavement sites. The air pollutants measured in this study include volatile organic compounds (VOCs), aldehydes, particulate matter (PM: PM1, PM2.5, PM7, PM10, TSP (total suspended particulate)). The identified concentrations of VOCs increased with increasing time or degree for H&M of waste ASCON. In particular, very high concentrations of the VOCs at the status of complete melting, which is exposed to the air, of the waste ASCON just before paving tv the recycled ASCON at the recycling site. Also, considerable amount of VOCs were identified from the recycling equipment after the dump trucks leaded by recycled ASCON leaved the recycling site for the pavement sites. The relative level of formaldehyde exceeded 80% of the aldehydes Identified in the recycling processes. This is because the waste ASCON is exposed to direct flame of LPG during H&M processes. The PM concentrations measured in the winter recycling processes, such as the loading and rotation processes of waste ASCON into/in the recycling equipment for H&M, were much higher than those in the summer ones. In particular, the concentrations of coarse particles such as PM7 and PM10 during the winter recycling were very high as compared those during the summer one.

건설기계 연간표준가동시간 산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Estimating Construction Equipment Annual Standard Operating Hours)

  • 최근 건설공사의 대형화와 복합화로 인해 건설기계의 사용은 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며 전체공사비 중 기계경비가 차지하는 비율 또한 점차 높아지고 있다. 하지만 현행 '건설공사 표준품셈'은 기상조건으로 인한 작업불가능일, 법정공휴일, 공사관리조건에 따른 작업중지일 등을 고려하지 않고 있어 실제 운전시간과는 많은 차이를 보이고 있는 실정이며, 따라서 현실적이고 합리적인 건설기계경비 산출기준을 제시해주지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 견설기계의 현실적인 연간표준가동시간을 산정하기 위하여 우선 표준품셈 상의 건설기계를 각 공종별로 분류하고, 각 공종의 작업이 불가능한 기상조건을 설정하였다. 한편 2004${\sim}$2006년의 서울과 부산의 일일 기상자료를 분석하여 기상조건 및 법정공휴일에 의해서 연간 각 작업이 불가능한 일수를 산출하고, 중복일수를 공제하여 각 장비의 연간표준가동시간을 산정하였다. 그 결과 연간표준가동시간은 토공장비, 다짐장비, 기초공사장비는 1,430시간, 운반 및 하역기계(양중장비로 한정)는 2,124시간, 콘크리트 포장기계는 1,156시간, 아스팔트 포장기계는 1,188시간, 콘크리트기계는 1,688시간, 골재생산장비는 2,152시간으로 산정되었다.

친환경 하상차수공법 현장 적용성에 관한 연구 (A Study for Field Application of Environmental-friendly Waterproof Method for Riverbed)

  • 급속한 경제발전시기에는 하천공사 시 유해한 재료를 사용함으로써 환경오염으로 인한 인간 및 동식물에 악영향을 끼치는 사례가 많이 발생하였다. 이를 복구하는 시간 및 비용이 많이 소요되는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 하천공사 중의 차수공사시 환경오염 문제점을 극복할 수 있는 친환경적이면서 경제적으로 저렴하고, 장기적으로 사용할 시 내구성에 문제없는 공법을 적용하고자 실내모형실험결과와 현장실험결과를 비교 분석하였다. 실내실험결과 콘크리트 포장재, 아스팔트 포장재, 벤토나이트 매트, 고화토공법, 혼합토공법은 적은 침투량을 나타내었고, 이와 반대로 다짐흙, 초지, 투수성 포장재는 많은 양의 침투량이 발생되었다. 현장투수실험결과는 실내실험투수결과와 비슷한 경향을 나타냈으며, 국내차수시설 투수기준인 $1.0{\times}10^{-7}cm/sec$ 이하에 모두 만족하였다. 또한, 일축압축강도는 1.0MPa 이상 결과값을 얻어 기준에 만족하였고, 다짐도가 증가할수록 일축압축강도는 증가하고 투수계수는 감소하는 경향을 확인할 수 있었다.

포장재료의 심리적 특성 분석 (Psychological Character Analysis of Pavement Materials)

  • Recently, the importance of choosing correct pavement materials has been increasing in urban spaces and streets. Much research regarding the pavement theory and construction method have been conducted, but analysis in terms of human psychological character has not yet been performed. The purpose of this study is to investigate the psychological characters to 12 pavement materials, that are commonly used in our urban spaces and streets. The results of the psychological character for each pavement material can be summarized as follows: 1. The psychological characters to each pavement material were as follows: ① Clay embodies a natural, traditional, soft and intimate psychological character; ② Pebble stone has a natural, hard, cool and intimate psychological character; ③ Turf grass incorporates an intimate and soft psychological character; ④ Ceramic brick has an artificial and hard psychological character; ⑤ Tile pavement has a modern, artificial, hard and cool psychological character; ⑥ Water permeable concrete has a modern and artificial psychological character; ⑦ Flag stone has a natural psychological character; ⑧ Granite has a modern and artificial psychological character; ⑨ Portland concrete has an artificial and hard psychological character; ⑩ Small compacted brick has an artificial, dynamic and modern psychological character; ⑪ Wood block pavement has a natural and traditional psychological character; ⑫ Asphalt concrete pavement has a modern, hard and artificial character. 2. On the results of the cluster analysis regarding psychological indexes for 12 pavement materials, pavement materials were categorized in 3 clusters. Among them, one cluster was mainly used as the most popular pavement material in our urban spaces and streets. From this point of view, psychological character for pavement material in our urban spaces and streets was not as various as we expected. 3. In conclusion, the proper selection of pavement materials was very important and the factors affecting the human psychological character should be considered in the design of urban spaces and streets.
