Endpoint security is a method of ensuring network security by thoroughly protecting multiple individual devices connected to the network. In this study, we survey the functions and features of various commercial products of endpoint security. Also we emphasizes the importance of endpoint security to respond to the increasingly intelligent and sophisticated security threats against the cloud, mobile, artificial intelligence, and IoT based sur-connection era. and as a way to improve endpoint security, we suggest the ways to improve the life cycle of information security such as preemptive security policy implementation, real-time detection and filtering, detection and modification.
Hatched-larvae of the mulberry longicorn beetle, Apriona germari Hope, collected from mulberry fields were reared on artificial diet at 25$^{\circ}$C with 14 h light and 10 h dark to study the larval developmental characteristics. Artificial diet developed for rearing silkworm was used with minor modification adding mulberry branch powder. In case of artificial diet rearing, the head width of larval instar from the I st to the 12th instars was ranged from 0.12 to 0.69cm, and growth rate of each instar was significantly high between the I st and the 2nd instars. In addition, the weight of the 8th instar larvae was increased approximately 176-fold in comparision with that of the 1st instar larvae. Larval duration of each instar took long with larval developmental stages, and that of the 1st to the 9th or the 12th instars was 186.03 or 304.58 days, respectively. The survival rate of larvae was 40.8% by the 8th instar. The pupation rate was approximately 32.4%. Furthermore, although pupation stage was broadly appeared from the 7th to the I lth instars, pupation was majorly observed at the 8th and the 9th instars.
The recent Neural Network technique has shown good performance in content generation such as image generation in addition to the conventional classification problem and clustering problem solving. In this study, we propose an image generation method using artificial neural network as a next generation content creation technique. The proposed artificial neural network model receives two images and combines them into a new image by taking color from one image and shape from the other image. This model is made up of Convolutional Neural Network, which has two encoders for extracting color and shape from images, and a decoder for taking all the values of each encoder and generating a combination image. The result of this work can be applied to various 2D image generation and modification works in game development process at low cost.
In the context of artificial groundwater recharge, a reactive soil column at pilot-scale (4.5 m depth and 3 m in diameter) fed by treated wastewater was designed to evaluate soil filtration ability. Here, as a part of this project, the impact of treated wastewater filtration on soil bacterial communities and the soil's biological ability for wastewater treatment as well as the relevance of the use of multi-bioindicators were studied as a function of depth and time. Biomass; bacterial 16S rRNA gene diversity fingerprints; potential nitrifying, denitrifying, and sulfate-reducing activities; and functional gene (amo, nir, nar, and dsr) detection were analyzed to highlight the real and potential microbial activity and diversity within the soil column. These bioindicators show that topsoil (0 to 20 cm depth) was the more active and the more impacted by treated wastewater filtration. Nitrification was the main activity in the pilot. No sulfate-reducing activity or dsr genes were detected during the first 6 months of wastewater application. Denitrification was also absent, but genes of denitrifying bacteria were detected, suggesting that the denitrifying process may occur rapidly if adequate chemical conditions are favored within the soil column. Results also underline that a dry period (20 days without any wastewater supply) significantly impacted soil bacterial diversity, leading to a decrease of enzyme activities and biomass. Finally, our work shows that treated wastewater filtration leads to a modification of the bacterial genetic and functional structures in topsoil.
As the information technology grows interests in the intrusion detection system (IDS), which detects unauthorized usage, misuse by a local user and modification of important data, has been raised. In the field of anomaly-based IDS several artificial intelligence techniques such as hidden Markov model (HMM), artificial neural network, statistical techniques and expert systems are used to model network rackets, system call audit data, etc. However, there are undetectable intrusion types for each measure and modeling method because each intrusion type makes anomalies at individual measure. To overcome this drawback of single-measure anomaly detector, this paper proposes a multiple-measure intrusion detection method. We measure normal behavior by systems calls, resource usage and file access events and build up profiles for normal behavior with hidden Markov model, statistical method and rule-base method, which are integrated with a rule-based approach. Experimental results with real data clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method that has significantly low false-positive error rate against various types of intrusion.

In this paper, we present a strategy to extend solution capability of an existing low Mach number preconditioned compressible solver to incompressible flows with a little modification. To this end, the energy equation that is of the same form of the total energy equation of compressible flows is used. The energy equation is obtained by a linear combination of the thermal energy equation, the continuity equation and the mechanical energy equation. Subsequently, a modified artificial compressibility method in conjunction with a time marching technique is applied to these incompressible governing equations for steady flow solutions. It is found that the Roe average of the common governing equations is equally valid for both the compressible and incompressible flow conditions. The extension of an existing compressible solver to incompressible flows does not affect the original compressible flow analysis. Validity for incompressible flow analysis of the extended solver is examined for various inviscid, laminar and turbulent flows.

Silkworm transgenesis scientists have done some genetic modification work on multivoltine silkworms, but that type of silkworms is less commercial feasible. They are easy to manipulate, because they breed all year round. But the commercial silkworm variety must undergo hydrochloric acid treatment at a high temperature to be artificially hatched. Hydrochloric acid penetrates through the holes in the silkworm eggs, fatally damaging their reproduction. So it had been thought that altering the properties of the commercial silkworm variety would be very difficult. So we have tried to make from diapause to non-diapause eggs using diapauses varieties, 'Backokjam' and 'Jam 124'. At present, our group has establishing the conditions for non-diapause eggs. Oviposited eggs after 40 ~ 60 hours were incubated for 24 hours at $15{\sim}20^{\circ}C$ with dark condition. Non-diapause eggs were completely induced. The hatching rate, molting rate and pupation rate of non-diapause 'Jam 124' and 'Backokjam' eggs showed no differences compared to diapause eggs. When transgenic silkworm using the non-diapause eggs, the hatching rate showed that non-diapause eggs induced from diapause were 40 ~ 70%, diapause eggs treated with artificial incubation were 10 ~ 30%, and polyvoltine strains, HM eggs were 30 ~ 50%. Therefore, we suggest that modification techniques of the commercial silkworm eggs adequate for silkworm transgenesis can be used to develop transgenic silkworms more easily.

Current high oil price and the agreement on global climate change prevention have increased worldwide investment and research on renewable energy. In Korea, development of a rapeseed dryer for bio-diesel production has been started in 2007. Usually, rapeseeds are harvested in early summer, because rice cultivation is followed right after rapeseed harvesting. Early harvest and bad summer results in highly moistured rapeseed and development of artificial drying system is required to dry great amount of rapeseed that couldn't be processed by sun drying alone. The rapeseed dryer was modified from an existing circulation type grain dryer. Modification of the dryer was performed with the aid of CFD simulation. Drying test showed that drying rate of rapeseed was 1.51%/h and germination rate reduction was 4.5%p for the drying temperature of $60^{\circ}C$.
This paper describes an integrated navigation strategy for the autonomous service robot PSR. The PSR is under development at the KIST for service tasks in indoor public environments. The PSR is a multi-functional mobile-manipulator typed agent, which works in daily life. Major advantages of proposed navigation are as follows: 1) Structured control architecture for a systematic integration of various software modules. A Petri net based configuration design enables stable control flow of a robot. 2) A range sensor based generalized scheme of navigation. Any range sensor can be selectively applied using the proposed navigation scheme. 3) No need for modification of environments. (No use of artificial landmarks.) 4) Hybrid approaches combining reactive behavior as well as deliberative planner, and local grid maps as well as global topological maps. A presented experimental result shows that the proposed navigation scheme is useful for mobile service robot in practical applications.

Vehicle toxicity is one of the main obstacles for intracellular delivery of bioactive compounds. Silk fibroin is a natural polymer proven to have high biocompatibility since being used as suture material. In this report, fibroin microspheres were prepared without any chemical modification or cross-linking not to affect its biocompatibility. The microspheres were taken up by more than 90% of 3T3 cells. Cellular uptake continued after medium replenishment with a different-colored fluorescent microsphere, suggesting that simultaneous ingestion and exocytosis occurred. Cellular uptake of fibroin microspheres did not affect cell viability. Intracellular trafficking of the microspheres using lysosome-specific fluorescent dye revealed that fibroin microspheres were localized both in the cytoplasm and in the lysosome. Accordingly, fibroin microspheres can be a potential vehicle for intracytoplasmic delivery of large cargos, such as mixtures of proteins, nutrients or artificial organelles.
