A study on the development of IoT-based middle school SW·AI education contents -Connection with Curriculum- (IoT 기반 중학교 SW·AI 교육 콘텐츠 개발에 관한 연구 -교육과정과의 연계-)

  • This study aims to enhance the cultivation of SW·AI basic competencies of middle school students by forming and distributing SW·AI education programs for middle school students who form the basis of their lives. In addition, by planning SW·AI education programs in connection with the regular curriculum, it is intended to serve as a cornerstone for the public education of SW·AI education that will be implemented from 2025. To this end, the concept of SW and AI in middle school was first defined and a plan to link software/artificial intelligence learning factors to the regular curriculum was proposed, and based on this, SW·AI education programs for middle school students were prepared. Based on literature research, the understanding of artificial intelligence technology, the value of data, and the use of artificial intelligence technology in real life were set as SW·AI education contents, and educational programs were organized by linking them with the current middle school curriculum. All SW·AI education was organized in the form of practice rather than theory so that classes could be conducted centered on participants, and the purpose of the course was to cultivate the ability to use artificial intelligence technology in real life based on understanding artificial intelligence technology.

  • Recently, big data and artificial intelligence (AI) based on communication systems have become one of the hottest issues in the technology sector, and methods of analyzing big data using AI approaches are now considered essential. This paper presents diverse paradigms to subjects which deal with diverse research areas, such as image segmentation, fingerprint matching, human tracking techniques, malware distribution networks, methods of intrusion detection, digital image watermarking, wireless sensor networks, probabilistic neural networks, query processing of encrypted data, the semantic web, decision-making, software engineering, and so on.

  • In an era where everything is digitalized using AI(Artificial Intelligence), such as the ChatGPT craze, the evacuation guidance system still uses an analog and fixed method, so there is a limit to quick response in case of fire. In order to overcome this, we introduce a digitally transformed evacuation guidance system using AI and discuss its effectiveness.

  • This study aimed to interpreting the view of current media by artificial intelligence(AI) with the case of a TV show Person of Interest, which was broadcasted until 2016 in US. In this study, we first attempted to find how AI reflects the three laws of robotics, which often appear in Science Fictions. In addition, we paid attention to how the society looks according to the change of the manipulator of the AI, and as a result we derived the distinguishes of the show from other content dealing with robots or AI in terms of narrative. Through this study, we classified the messages in accordance of AI into three categories- importance of data sovereignty, potential of intelligence explosion, and blind faith in high technology. This study suggested that the show emphasizes the consciousness and attitude that should be possessed as a citizen who meets the era of AI prior to raising issue of 'what artificial intelligence is should be developed for our convenience?'

  • In the paper of 'Natural Selection Favors AIs over Humans,' Dan Hendrycks applies principles of Darwinian evolution to forecast potential trajectories of AI development. He proposes that competitive pressures within corporate and military realms could lead to AI replacing human roles and exhibiting self-interested behaviors. However, such claims carry the risk of oversimplifying the complex issues of competition and natural selection without clear criteria for judging whether AI is selfish or altruistic, necessitating a more in-depth analysis and critique. Other studies, such as ''The Threat of AI and Our Response: The AI Charter of Ethics in South Korea,' offer diverse opinions on the natural selection of artificial intelligence, examining major threats that may arise from AI, including AI's value judgment and malicious use, and emphasizing the need for immediate discussions on social solutions. Such contemplation is not merely a technical issue but also significant from an ethical standpoint, requiring thoughtful consideration of how the development of AI harmonizes with human welfare and values. It is also essential to emphasize the importance of cooperation between artificial intelligence and humans. Hendrycks's work, while speculative, is supported by historical observations of inevitable evolution given the right conditions, and it prompts deep contemplation of these issues, setting the stage for future research focused on AI safety, regulation, and ethical considerations.

  • Recently, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been emerging as a technology that has transformed and revolutionized various industries around the world. In recent years, businesses in Vietnam have also started to embrace AI applications to enhance their operations and gain a competitive edge in the market. As AI technologies continue to evolve rapidly, their impact on Vietnamese businesses is becoming increasingly profound. As artificial intelligence continues to progress across various fields, the need to democratize AI technology becomes increasingly clear. In a rapidly growing market like Vietnam, leveraging AI offers significant opportunities for businesses to improve operational efficiency, customer engagement, and overall competitiveness. However, significant barriers to AI adoption in Vietnam are the scarcity of skilled developers and the high cost of implementing traditional AI. No-code/low-code platforms offer an innovative solution that can accelerate AI adoption by making these technologies accessible to a wider audience. This article analyzes and understands the benefits of no-code/low-code solutions and proposes a roadmap for implementing no-code/low-code solutions in promoting AI applications in Vietnamese businesses.

  • Generative artificial intelligence is currently developing rapidly and expanding industrially. The development of generative AI is expected to improve productivity in most industries. However, there is a probability for exploitation of generative AI, and cases that actually lead to crime are emerging. Compared to the fast-growing AI, there is no legislation to regulate the generative AI. In the case of Korea, the crimes and risks related to generative AI has not been clearly classified for legislation. In addition, research on the responsibility for illegal data learned by generative AI or the illegality of the generated data is insufficient in existing research. Therefore, this study attempted to classify crimes related to generative AI for domestic legislation into generative AI for target crimes, generative AI for tool crimes, and other crimes based on ECRM. Furthermore, it suggests technical countermeasures against crime and risk and measures to improve the legal system. This study is significant in that it provides realistic methods by presenting technical countermeasures based on the development stage of AI.

  • This study is to investigate the perception of domestic appraisers about the possibility of using artificial intelligence (AI) and related risks from the use of AI in the appraisal industry. We conducted a mobile survey of evaluators from February 10 to 18, 2022. We collected survey data from 193 respondents. Frequency analysis and multiple response analysis were performed for basic analysis. When AI is used in the appraisal industry, factor analysis was used to analyze various types of risks. Although appraisers have a positive perception of AI introduction in the appraisal industry, they considered collateral, consulting, and taxation, mainly in areas where AI is likely to be used and replaced, mainly negative effects related to job losses and job replacement. They were more aware of the alternative risks caused by AI in the field of human labor. I was very aware of responsibilities, privacy and security, and the risk of technical errors. However, fairness, transparency, and reliability risks were generally perceived as low risk issues. Existing studies have mainly studied analysis methods that apply AI to mass evaluation models, but this study focused on the use and risk of AI. Understanding industry experts' perceptions of AI utilization will help minimize potential risks when AI is introduced on a large scale.

  • The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze elementary school teachers' perceptions of the use of artificial intelligence in education. Recently, interest in the use of artificial intelligence has increased in the field of education. However, there is a lack of research on the perceptions of elementary school teachers using AI in education. Using descriptive statistics, multiple linear regression analysis, and semantic differential meaning scale, 69 elementary school teachers' perceptions of using AI in education were analyzed. As a results, artificial intelligence technology was perceived as most suitable method for assisting activities in class and for problem-based learning. Factors which influence the use of AI in education were learning contents, learning materials, and AI tools. AI in education had the features of personalized learning, promoting students' participation, and provoking students' interest. Further, instructional strategies or models that enable optimized educational operation should be developed.

  • In this study, by using Entry text model learning, educational contents for artificial intelligence education of elementary school students are developed and applied to actual classes. Based on the elementary and secondary artificial intelligence content table, the achievement standards of practical software education and artificial intelligence education will be reconstructed.. Among text, images, and sounds capable of machine learning, "production of emotion recognition programs using text model learning" will be selected as the educational content, which can be easily understood while reducing data preparation time for elementary school students. Entry artificial intelligence is selected as an education platform to develop artificial intelligence education contents that create emotion recognition programs using text model learning and apply them to actual elementary school classes. Based on the contents of this study, As a result of class application, students showed positive responses and interest in the entry AI class. it is suggested that quantitative research on the effectiveness of classes for elementary school students is necessary as a follow-up study.
