Adversarial Framework for Joint Light Field Super-resolution and Deblurring (라이트필드 초해상도와 블러 제거의 동시 수행을 위한 적대적 신경망 모델)

  • Restoring a low resolution and motion blurred light field has become essential due to the growing works on parallax-based image processing. These tasks are known as light-field enhancement process. Unfortunately, only a few state-of-the-art methods are introduced to solve the multiple problems jointly. In this work, we design a framework that jointly solves light field spatial super-resolution and motion deblurring tasks. Particularly, we generate a straight-forward neural network that is trained under low-resolution and 6-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) motion-blurred light field dataset. Furthermore, we propose the strategy of local region optimization on the adversarial network to boost the performance. We evaluate our method through both quantitative and qualitative measurements and exhibit superior performance compared to the state-of-the-art methods.

  • The advantage of the distance learning universities based on the 4th Industrial Revolution is that anyone can conveniently take lectures anytime, anywhere on the web. In addition, research has been actively conducted on the effect of light color and temperature control upon student performance during online classes. However, research on how the conditions of subjects, lighting colors, and music selection improve the degree of a student's concentration during online lectures has not been completed. To solve these problems in this paper, we have developed automatic analysis system SW for the weak subjects of learners by applying intelligent analysis algorithm, have proposed and simulated music therapy and art therapy. Moreover, It proposed in this paper an algorithm for an automatic analysis system, which shows the weak subjects of learners by adopting intelligence analysis algorithms. We also have presented and simulated a music therapy and art therapy algorithms, based on the blended learning, in order to increase students concentration during lecture.

  • The Marketing strategy is basic to the marketing plan for a firm. It encompasses the art and science of employing the means for achieving established marketing goals. The use of the word "strategy" in reference to the performance of marketing operations has been accepted in general usage during the last twenty years by both business practitioners and educators. It has been borrowed from the military vocabulary where it refers to the art and science of employing the armed strength of a belligerent force to secure the objectives of war.   • Classical lithography in semiconductor employs stepper technologies. Limits of this technology are clearly seen at structures below 100nm. Nano-imprinting lithography is a new method for generating patterns in submicron range at reasonable cost. In order to manufacture nano-imprinting lithography(NIL) equipment, several NIL manufacturers have been developing key technologies for realization of nano-imprinting process, recently. In this paper, we've been describe state-of-the-art and technology trends for nano-imprinting lithography equipments.

  • This paper surveys past and state-of-the-art SLAM technologies. The standard methods for solving the SLAM problem are the Kalman filter, particle filter, graph, and bundle adjustment-based methods. Kalman filters such as EKF (Extended Kalman Filter) and UKF (Unscented Kalman Filter) have provided successful results for estimating the state of nonlinear systems and integrating various sensor information. However, traditional EKF-based methods suffer from the increase of computation burden as the number of features increases. To cope with this problem, particle filter-based SLAM approaches such as FastSLAM have been widely used. While particle filter-based methods can deal with a large number of features, the computation time still increases as the map grows. Graph-based SLAM methods have recently received considerable attention, and they can provide successful real-time SLAM results in large urban environments.

  • The era of the fourth industrial revolution, which will bring about a great wave of change in the 21st century, is the age of super-connection that links humans to humans, objects to objects, and humans to objects. In the smart city and the smart space which are evolving further, emotional engineering is a field of interdisciplinary researches that still attract attention with the development of technology. This paper proposes an emotional object prototype as a possibility of emotional interaction in the relation between human and object. By suggesting emotional objects that produce color changes and movements through the emotional interactions between humans and objects against the current social issue-loneliness of modern people, we have approached the influence of our lives in the relation with objects. It is expected that emotional objects that are approached from the fundamental view will be able to be in our lives as a viable cultural intermediary in our future living space.

Smartphone Based FND Recognition Method using sequential difference images and ART-II Clustering (차영상과 ART2 클러스터링을 이용한 스마트폰 기반의 FND 인식 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel recognition method that extract source data from encoded signal that are displayed on FND mounted on home appliances. First of all, it find a candidate FND region from sequential difference images taken by smartphone and extract segment image using clustering RGB value. After that, it normalize segment images to correct a slant error and recognize each segments using a relative distance. Experiments show the robustness of the recognition algorithm on smartphone.

  • Post industrial technologies have improved human standard of living, however, a host of negative environmental consequences from the unlimited industrial appetite have posed serious global challenges. Remanufacturing is an industrial manufacturing process that is to restore old products to perform like a new and to save energy, natural resources, landfill space and to reduce air pollution by less re-smelting. By extending product life cycle, remanufacturing gives us enormous opportunities for sustainable development of our society. This paper introduces current state of the art and future perspective in the field of automotive remanufacturing focusing on alternator and start motor. The results could be used as a basic information for further remanufacturing applications in Korea.

Document Layout Analysis Based on Fuzzy Energy Matrix

  • In this paper, we describe a novel method for document layout analysis that is based on a Fuzzy Energy Matrix (FEM). A FEM is a two-dimensional matrix that contains the likelihood of text and non-text and is generated through the use of Fuzzy theory. The key idea is to define an Energy map for the document to categorize text and non-text. The proposed mechanism is designed for execution with a low-resolution document image, and hence our method has a fast processing speed. The proposed method has been tested on public ICDAR 2009 datasets to conduct a comparison against other state-of-the-art methods, and it was also tested with Korean documents. The results of the experiment indicate that this scheme achieves superior segmentation accuracy, in terms of both precision and recall, and also requires less time for computation than other state-of-the-art document image analysis methods.

  • This article describes a state-of-the art review in nano-biomanipulation technologies. Nanomanipulation of biological objects enables an in-depth study of single molecules such as DNA and RNA, and of biophysical events at the molecular level like molecular motors. Controlled nanomanipulation is challenging but essential for precisely engineering biomolecules or cells and for manufacturing functional nano-biosystems. In this paper, we summarize several contact, non-contact and hybrid methods available for nanomanipulation of biological objects. Advantages currently available methods and their limitations are also compared. Finally, we discuss possible applications of nano-biomanipulation technologies to life science and molecular medicine including cell biology, genetic engineering, biophysics, and biochemistry.
