This paper investigates the royal collection of paintings and calligraphy during King Gojong's (高宗) reign (1897~1907) based on the function of the Jipgyeong-dang Hall (緝敬堂), situated at "sleeping realm (寢殿)," Gyeongbok Palace. Using the surviving palace records and art works this study argues that the date of building the hall is approximately confined to the year of 1890. Not being matched with the general opinion that the Jipgyeong-dang Hall was used for the official meeting with envoys, this hall functioned as the main place for royal audience and the storehouse for archives. The role of Gojong as collector and patron was essential not only to the maintenance of the collection but also to the strengthening of royal authority just before the Japanese annexation in 1910. The specific titles of the collection at this hall can be verified through the Catalogue of the Books, Paintings, and Calligraphy Exposed to the Sun at Jipgyeong-dang Hall (緝敬堂曝曬書目) dating to the nineteenth century. The records of the catalogue inform us that more than 1,000 paintings and pieces of calligraphy, inkrubbings from old steles, manuals for painting, and encyclopedia concerning art theories from Korea, China, and Japan were preserved there. The collection of Jipgyeong-dang Hall resulted from Gojong's policy to foster the collection of contemporary Chinese and Japanese art works and various catalogues. Standing behind the Gyeongbok Palace, the Jibok-jae Hall (集玉齋) also preserved the diverse sources of practical learning, as did the Jipgyong-dang Hall for Gojong. The enormous royal collections by Gojong might have been constructed in accordance with the royal artistic taste and the artistic milieu of the late Joseon period. The surviving royal catalogues confirm this assumption as documentary evidence.
Most of Korea's Kyungmaedorock(auction book: 競賣圖錄) and pictorial record of exhibitions in the modern times were usually published in the 1930s. Although 1930s were periods of the Great Depression when economic slump continued because of the aftereffect of the slump in the stocks issued by the US in 1929, during this period, Japan began regular continental invasion starting from invasion of the northeastern area of China. To curio dealers, the 1930s were 'boom period of curio transaction' and in urban cultural aspects, the period is evaluated as the one when the first step of modernism was formed. Collection, photo-printing and arrangement of the data related to modern exhibitions including the Auction Book being published at that time are very important because they enable us to know characteristics of fine arts in the transition period from paintings & writings to fine arts in addition to enabling us to revert the circulation history of our paintings & writings and curios. Furthermore, these data will become important data for reconstitution of the circulation history of the Eastern Asia's modern art works. Although the pictorial record of Joseon's Exhibitions of Chinaware and Wooden Works(朝鮮陶磁木工展) is a small and thin one, it records our country's high level chinaware and wooden works. Although we can't know the exact time for 'Joseon's exhibitions of chinaware and wooden works', they are assumed to have been held in Tokyo, Japan in the 1930s and there seems to have been sale of works, too. As such, studies of the books such as the auction book and exhibitions under Japanese imperialism have the first importance in the fact that through which we can examine the course of outflow of our art works to Japan. Furthermore, they can be studies of art-sociology that examine flow and phase of recognition and taste of art works of those days. And from now on, comparative studies of auctions and exhibitions being held in Japan such as Tokyo, Osaka and etc. as well as art markets in Seoul during modern times would also be necessary.
This paper mainly analyzes the records titled 'Shijujil(施主秩)' from the Bokjangs of each of the Rocana and Shakyamuni statues enshrined as wooden seated Vairocana Buddha Triadcomposed of Vairocana(center), Rocana(right), and Shakyamuni(left) at the Daeungjeon Hall of Hwaeomsa Temple in Gurye. The Shijujil from the Shakyamuni statue was recovered through Bokjang investigation in September 2015 and has been kept in the museum of Hwaeomsa as an undisclosed relic. After the discovery of the Shijujil from the Rocana statue through an Bokjang investigation in July 2020, both of the Shijujils were only officially released through the special exhibition 'Grand Hwaeomsa Temple in Jirisan Mountain' in September 2021. Existing documents recording on the creation of Buddha statues in the 17th century are in the form of sheets or rolls. However, the Shijujils take the form of simple stitched booklets. The Shijujil from Rocana consists of 19 chapters and 38 pages in one book, and the Shijujil from Shakyamuni consists of 11 chapters and 22 pages in one book. The contents of the Shijujils consist of the purpose of the Buddha statue creation, the creation date, the year and place of enshrining, the names of the statues, the people in charge and their roles, the sculptors, the list of items donated, and the list of the contributors. In addition, the list of monks who were staying at Hwaeomsa Temple at that time are also recorded, so the Shijujil is like a time capsule that tells the situation of Hwaeomsa Temple about 400 years ago. According to the records of the Shijujils and the Writing on the wooden pedestal of Rocana, the Vairocana Triad began to be in March 1634(12th year of King Injo) and was completed in August of that year, and was enshrined in the Daeungjeon Hall in the fall of the following year. It is very important to confirm that the Vairocana Buddha Triad of Hwaeomsa was created in 1634. Since studies on the reconstruction of Hwaeomsa Temple in the 17th century and the roles of Byeokam Gakseong have been mainly based on 『湖南道求禮縣智異山大華嚴寺事蹟』 written by monk Haean in 1636, it has been estimated that the wooden seated Vairocana Buddha Triad was created in 1636. However, it is now known that the Virocana Buddha Triad was created in 1634. The Shijujils are also a good source of information about Byeokam Gakseong who played a pivotal roles in the reconstruction projects of Hwaeomsa Temple in the 17th century. He played leading roles in rebuilding the East Five-story Stone Pagoda(1630), in creating the wooden seated Vairocana Buddha Triad(1634), and in producing the Yeongsanhoe Gwaebul(1653, Hanging Scroll Painting depicting the Shakyamuni preaching). It is also very important that the Shijujils are records that can reveal the relationship between Byeokam Gakseong and royal family of Joseon Dynasty in the 17th century. The Shijujils from Rocana and Shakyamuni are the first documents ever discovered in which the names of royal family members, such as Uichanggun(Gwang Lee, son of King Seonjo), Ikseong Shin(son-in-law of King Seonjo), and Crown Prince Sohyeon(son of King Injo) are recorded in detail in relation to the production of Buddha statues. The Shijujils from Rocana and Shakyamuni contain specific information about the production of the wooden seated Vairocana Buddha Triad in the 17th century, such as the year of production of the Buddha statues, the role of Byeokam Gakseong, and the relationship between Byeokam Gakseong and the royal family, so it is of great value not only for art history but also for historical studies of Hwaeomsa Temple.
This study is a study on the performance of design services among export voucher projects. In particular, we have identified the actual state of use of design services from the perspective of participating companies and the corresponding problems. The purpose of the study is to provide basic data for the preparation of successful support plans in the field of design services. This study designed a quantitative survey to measure accurate performance of design services using archive records, and the survey was sent three times in total to 135 participating companies. A significant achievement of design services the study found is that the role of design were important in the export of the nation's main industries such as medical/biological/healthcare and electrical/electronic products. In addition, we could see that all participating companies were using design services regardless of the difference in sales. In particular, 96% of participating companies answered that the design service effect was the most effective service. As a result, it proved the importance of design services in export voucher projects, and suggested the importance of introducing a management system as a direction for the development of design services in future export voucher projects. Researches on prodigies and education for those have recently been progressing in many fields. Education for the gifted, which was basically on Math and Science on the start, now includes Intelligence, Invention, Cultural Sciences, Art, and so on. With the progression towards extremely developed information society, interests in and importance on the courses for the talented get more and more focused. The problem is, however, choosing the gifted and educating them is not an easy matter, since the history of Intelligence Technology is relatively short and it is hard to identify prodigies and categorize what kinds of courses they need. Also, from 2010 "Science Education Institute for the Gifted" freshmen draft, paper-based admission test has been discarded and teacher-recommendation through long-term observation introduced. Therefore needs have been increasing for quality selection methods including observation records, recommendation letters, and portfolios. Reformation on teaching and creative selection methods has been accentuated because of lack of academic base for selecting candidates for education for the gifted. Because of all those mentioned above, reliances for the selection processes during the last three years and the one in 2010, observation records, recommendations and portfolios included, have been analyzed and evaluated. Several factors which can be used instead of paper-based tests were coordinated. Based on it, it was highly possible and has been successful to draft all the applicants in cognitive, sentimental, and creative fields.
Korean wave 3.0 is focused on 'K-Culture' which includes traditional culture, cultural art as well as existing culture contents as a keyword. It considers everything about Korean culture as materials of Korean wave culture contents. Since Korean wave culture contents reflect contemporary social aspect, it needs to preserve those contents as archives and records which have the important value of evidence. With this social environment, this study aims to implement RMS based on AtoM that manages various kinds of Korean wave culture contents through analysis of management situation of those materials. Recently, it is in progress individually to manage them through organizations dealing with korean cultures such as K-Pop, K-Food, K-Movie. However, it has problems in accumulating information and reproducing high quality contents because of lack of coordination among organizations. To solve the problems, this study proposed RMS based on open source software Access to Memory(AtoM) for managing and recording Korean wave culture contents. AtoM provides various functions for managing records and archives such as accumulation, classification, description and browsing. Furthermore AtoM is for free as open source software and easy to implement and use. Thus, this study implemented RMS based on AtoM to methodically manage korean wave culture contents by functional requirements of RMS. Also, this study considered contents relating K-Food as an object to collect, classify, and describe. To describe it, this study selected ISAD(G) standard.

This study is about the historical records of anchovy which has fluent nutritions as well as the representative side dish in Korean food culture and life. The formal first record about anchovy is in the Uhaeieobo written by Damjeung in 1803. Another important historical record about anchovy are Hyeonsaneobo(Jasaneobo) written by Jeong Yak-jeon in 1814, and Eomyeonggo(Fish name list) of Nanhoeomogji written by Seo Yu-gu in 1820. The anchovies were used for food in Korea even before the Chosun Dynasty, but they were not noticed by people. Because at that time, fishing tools and instruments such as nets were not developed enough to raise enough catches and food processing technology were not developed. Since then, in the Japanese colonial era, it has been actively developing agricultural fertilizers using anchovies. In addition, the processing technology that can be used as an edible food using anchovy has been rapidly developed. Now, the anchovy industry has very important position in Korea's fisheries industry. Among them, 'Jukbangryum anchovy' catching bamboo weir tool which has been existed for over five hundred years in Namhae province, not only creates great high economic value, but also has cultural value. Therefore, the historical literature study on anchovy can be used as an invaluable resource not only for the study of fishery from an industrial point of view, but also for the registration of world cultural heritage and GIAHS (Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System) of 'Jukbangryum' which is traditional fishery catching instrument in Korea.
