Since the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, the Russian public has been rapidly adapting to belated globalization, consistent with the ever-changing market economy. The purpose of this study was to investigate the social background and modern fashion of Russia after the collapse of the Soviet system and consider the characteristics of modern Russian fashion that have emerged in various ways amid the social changes. This study has significance in expanding the breadth of understanding the rapidly growing modern Russian fashion by considering modern Russian fashion and preparing the foundation while filling the need for research on the Russian fashion market, which has great potential. In the scope of the study, we investigated fashion from the post-2000s, when consumption began in earnest after Russia suffered a period of social and economic turmoil and switched to a liberalistic economy in 1991, to the present. In addition, we conducted an analysis focusing on the works of fashion designers who came from Russia and actively participated in work activities in Russia or abroad. Russian fashion designers reflect the unique cultural characteristics of Russia in their designs and incorporate Russian art into their designs to represent new fashion. Through continuous attempts for creative fashion design, modern Russian fashion will be developed in more diverse ways in the future. Thus, a follow-up study using various approaches to Russian fashion is needed.
This study analyzed social effects of participating in living culture activities for Daejeon citizens. The social effects were set to creativity and self-esteem at the individual factor and community involvement and exchange at the social factor, this effects were tested by the method of participation in living culture activities. We used SPSS 22 to analyze this effects, factor analysis, analysis of variance, and logistic regression analysis were used. The results showed that participation in lecture programs increased the effects of community involvement and exchange at the social factor. Participation in the club activities showed a decrease in creativity, and further analysis of the club activities was necessary. Participation in cultural art events increases self-esteem. Participation in performances and exhibitions of cultural art events increased creativity. Through these analysis results, first, development of living cultural programs to improve the characteristics of local residents and community of village culture. Second, revitalization through support of various community club activity programs. Third, support for the formation of village cultural community through exchange and cooperation between local Culture and Art Activists and local residents. Fourth, development and expansion of living-oriented and generation-integrated living cultural programs for young and old generations.
This study examined the role of interpretation with various practices in art museums to seek a new meaning and a concept of art museum today. The exploration of interpretation would he a starting point to discuss about on art museums with professionals in each art-related field. While museums recognize the concept of interpretation and the scope of the functions in different levels, the study focused on the practices of collecting and exhibiting that will entrust the museum new realms of activities toward the audience. In particular, its emphases are set force on the information on the collections via the museum's web sites, interpretation policies, and theories and methodologies in exhibition development. Art museum websites well reflect how museums utilize the new medium to enhance the understanding of art works by providing in-depth art historical information, comprehensive contexts, and subject/concept based search methods. In recent decades, these have enacted changes to expand dimensions of interpretive functions in most museums, particularly in the United States and others. In an administrative perspective, Tate Gallery Interpretation Policy became an good example how an art museum put its interpretation philosophy as the basis of interpreting collection and public programs. Tate established functions of intrepretation and education not only within a task-based team but also as an intrer-divisional coorperation to provide an interpretation scheme of information provisions such as guide brochure, audio tour, multimedia content, and library. New environment and trends of museum exhibition, and its development processes stem from communication theories, object interpretation philosophy, display strategies, and various evaluation techniques through audiences, with the communication theories of Shannon and Weaver, Berlo's SMCR(Source-Message-Channel-Receiver) models were perceived as to understand the mechanism to communicate museum exhibits to visitors Suzan vogel's insight into object display strategy helped to conceive the mechanism of object recontextualization. She emphasized that the museum's practice to construe opinions and impressions through object display should be discreet and critical, therefore, the professionals to plan the exhibition should reveal the intention and their practices. For a prevailing new methodology from the field, the interpretive exhibition development processes are articulated as the front-end, formative, and summative evaluation, futhermore the team process in industrial product management models was adapted. These have turned out to be more interactive with visitors and effective to communicate the exhibition concepts and messages, hence resulting in enriched museum experiences. Finally the study concluded that understanding the aspects of interpretation should help art museums to set a framework for current practices to expand its public dimension. It can provide curators with a critical view to website planning and its content. And obviously, the interpretive exhibition development methodology will lead museum exhibition developers to be skilled in its current approaches to thematic exhibition concerning diverse subjects and topics.
In order to secure sustainable financial resources and to attract more key supporters, today's art museums are trying to further develop individual sponsorship. The purpose of this study is to explore the direction of membership programs by considering membership as the first step for the development of individual supporters for art museums. Although it is not easy to generate substantial profits within a short period through membership, art museums can secure supporters who empathize with and participate in their mission and activities by developing individual supporters through membership. The new trends of support, which has emerged as a stream of "new philanthropy" since the 1990s, indicate that the needs and motivations of individual supporters are changing. This has great implications for the direction of the development and operation of membership programs at art museums. This study investigated the role, method, and direction of the development of individual supporters through membership by conducting a theoretical review and a case study on the membership programs and individual sponsors of art museums. In addition, the study analyzed the cases of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museum of Modern Art in the United States, which have continuously attempted new approaches and improved membership programs based on a long history of membership operation and individual support, by centering on the new attributes of philanthropy, including participation and involvement, accountability, and transparency. Based on the results, implications and suggestions for Korean art museums were derived. Amid the lack of art museums' membership programs and academic research, this study has significance in exploring the direction and prerequisites for membership for the development of individual supporters.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare health management and leisure activities of the Korean and Japanese elderly. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional descriptive research design. A total of 149 Korean and 140 Japanese older adults living in two urban-rural composite areas participated in this research project. Data were collected using interviews with the participants. t-test and $x^2$ test were used to analyze the data. Results: Eighty eight point two percent of the Japanese perceived that their health status was good whereas 27.3% of the Koreans responded that their health status was poor. There were significant differences in types of leisure activities in art, intellectual, events, and volunteer activities between the two groups. A majority of the Japanese elderly replied that they spent some time and money for leisure activities; however, 20.2% and 27.2% of the Koreans reported that they did not spend time or money at all for leisure activities. Conclusion: The number of the Korean elderly participating leisure activities was significantly lower than Japanese participants. Developing nursing strategies using leisure programs would improve the quality of life of older adults and the quality of nursing care.
In the knowledge-based economy, firms are increasingly exploiting their intellectual properties, especially patents. However, firms usually fail to commercialize all of their patents and some of them are not used even for strategic purposes. Therefore managing sleeping patents constitutes one important aspect of firms' overall patent strategies. This paper considers market uncertainty, technology uncertainty and strategic uncertainty as the reasons for sleeping patents. We analyze how firms' patent-related activities can reduce sleeping patent ratios. The firms' activities examined in here are patent audit, preliminary evaluation, prior art and cooperation. Noticing the prevalence of sleeping patents, this paper contributes by providing insights into how firm's activities affect the sleeping patent ratios. Insights for practitioners and policy makers have been provided from the empirical results.
The purpose of this research relates to the development of natural preservatives. Here, Samultang ingredients (Rehmannia glutinosa, Cnidium officinale, Paeonia lactiflora and Angelica gigas) were extracted with distilled water and 70% ethanol, and the antibacterial and antioxidative activities of the extracts were tested. The highest polyphenol contents were found in the water and ethanol extracts of Paeonia lactiflora (100 g) at 843.2 mg and 721.1 mg, respectively (p<0.05). The ethanol extract of Cnidium officinale demonstrated antibacterial activity against L. monocytogenes and S. aureus, and that from Paeonia lactiflora against S. aureus. The electron donating abilities (EDA) of the water extracts ranged from 67 to 84%, and those of the ethanol extracts ranged from 68 to 84% at 1,000 ppm. The superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activities of the water extracts ranged from 47 to 50%, and those of the ethanol extracts ranged from 50 to 56% at 1,000 ppm. The nitrite scavenging abilities (NSA) of the water extracts at 1,000 ppm of the water extracts ranged from 30 to 49%, and those of the ethanol extracts ranged from 42 to 54% at pH 1.2, respectively. The NSAs of the extracts were highest at pH 1.2, and then decreased with increasing pH. The highest levels of antibacterial and antioxidant activity occurred with the water and ethanol extracts of Paeonia lactiflora, which had the highest polyphenol content among the Samultang ingredients. Over all, the ethanol extracts of the Samultang ingredients had higher activities than the water extracts. Considering the combined results, one can conclude that Samultang ingredient extracts would be useful as natural preservatives in the development of health foods.

These days, hair design is recognized as a kind of molding arts which peform expression skill to create personal self as well as practical skill. Recently, the efforts to express hair design sublimating it to art works have continued. For these reasons, this study had purposes as follows; First, it developed creative and original design producing works to shape the flower image that was an important material of hair design. Second, it presented the possibility to express the field of hair design with art. In the flow of age, nature has provided design with unlimited creative motive. Flowers, among various materials, show the nature's change, combination and order and impose diverse symbolic meanings. Therefore, flowers are good materials to express the works. Through the process of decolorizing and dyeing with hair, five works of nature's fragrance, hope, reed flowers, windflower, magnolia blossom had been produced. The results of the process were as follows; First, the transformation of shape through the simple process taking the image of shaping flower as subject matter could be a motive of new hair design art. Second, if the various images of flowers were expressed as hair art with three-dimensional shape, it could be works with value of beauty. Through the process of this study, it was proved that nature could be endless subject matter for art. Therefore, with continuous studies, it can be motive of developing designs in producing work activities of many hair designers. In addition, academic development will be achieved through wide and diverse studies.
Expressionism is an art trend that prospered in the early 20th century and was represented in art activities in the diverse fields. As capitalism spread and people underwent wars, people's consciousness became impoverished, and it was created by the artists as a reaction against this, and notable achievements were made in film art and this is called expressive film which still inspires many artists. The modern age is a multicultural age and art is not limited to one area but influences many fields and interchanges and communicates with one another. This study attempts to analyze how an art trend has been passed down and developed and has influenced modern space. The purpose of this study is to derive the keywords of their characteristics through expressive films and to study how expressionism has been transformed and represented by putting them into modern space and to explore new perspectives and directions. First, the theoretical backgrounds of expressionism and expressive films were examined through the analysis of the existing researches, and the types of the characteristics of the space represented in the films were classified. Based on this, the representative expressive films were selected and the keywords of the characteristics of the expressive films were derived. A museum among modern spaces is a space that reflects the art trends and culture of the times and modern spaces are represented best in it. Also, recently the construction of museums has been vitalized and has explosively grown quantitatively and qualitatively, and shows diverse designs to the point that they are called the laboratory of modern architecture, so by analyzing the cases focusing on museums among modern spaces, the conclusion was derived. As a result, it could be seen that the expressive film space is represented diversely in the museums by the architects' inner desire of expression, centering on nonlinear expression, nonobjective form, and representational perception.
Art Collaborative advertising uses creative works that are not related directly to the product and recreates it as a more valuable product. Creative thinking acts as a core value. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of creative thinking using mind map and SCAMPER technique in art collaboration class. After analyzing the art collaboration advertisement class for 6 students in middle school, we analyzed characteristics between creative technique and creativity through student activities and work. The results were as follows. First, creative thinking ability of students who experienced art collaboration showed flexibility and originality in SCAMPER, and fluency in mind map. Second, throughout the course, we were able to observe elaboration, which embodied tough ideas and developed depth. This study will contribute to the research related to the improvement of students' creative convergence case by meeting two or more areas and collaborating on each core competency.
