A Maximum Power Control of IPMSM with Real-time Parameter Identification

  • This paper proposed a new real-time parameter tracking algorithm. Unlike the convenience algorithms, the proposed real-time parameter tracking algorithm can estimate parameters through three-phase voltage and electric current without coordination transformation, and does not need information on magnetic flux. Therefore, it can estimate parameters regardless of the change according to operation point and cross-saturation effect. In addition, as the quasi-real-time parameter tracking technique can estimate parameters through the four fundamental arithmetic operations instead of complicated algorithms such as numerical value analysis technique and observer design, it can be applied to low-performance DSP. In this paper, a new real-time parameter tracking algorithm is derived from three phase equation. The validity and usefulness of the proposed inductance estimation technique is verified by simulation and experimental results.

Finding the Maximum Flow in a Network with Simple Paths

  • An efficient method is developed to obtain the maximum flow for a network when its simple paths are known. Most of the existing techniques need to convert simple paths into minimal cuts, or to determine the order of simple paths to be applied in the process to reach the correct result. In this paper, we propose a method based on the concepts of signed simple path and signed flow defined in the text. Our method involves a fewer number of arithmetic operations at each iteration, and requires fewer iterations in the whole process than the existing methods. Our method can be easily extended to a mixed network with a slight modification. Furthermore, the correctness of our method does not depend on the order of simple paths to be applied in the process.

  • 기존의 퍼지 제어기는 퍼지 추론시 [0, 1]의 소속도를 갖는 퍼지 소속함수들의 실수연산으로 인하여 연산수행 속도가 저하되는 문제를 가지고 있다 따라서 본 논문에서는 실수연산으로 인하여 야기되었던 속도 저하문제를 해결하기 위한 새로운 퍼지연산 기법으로 실수 값을 갖는 퍼지 소속 함수 값을 정수형 격자(pixel)에 매핑 시켜 정수형 퍼지 소속 함수 값만을 가지고 연산함으로써 기존의 퍼지제어기에 비해 매우 빠른 연산을 수행 할 수 있는 고속 퍼지제어기를 제안한다. 또한 퍼지제어시스템 설계시에 퍼지 입.출력 변수들의 퍼지항들을 입력시킬 수 있는 GUI(Graphic User Interface)를 제공하여 소속함수의 수정 및 퍼지 값 입력시 사용자에게 보다 편리한 환경을 제공한다.

효율적 전자상거래를 위한 유한체 서브그룹 기반의 사용자 인증 프로토콜 설계 (Design of GE subgroup based User Authentication Protocol For efficient Electric Commerce)

  • If protocol has fast operations and short key length, it can be efficient user authentication protocol. Lenstra and Verheul proposed XTR. XTR have short key length and fast computing speed. Therefore, this can be used usefully in complex arithmetic. In this paper, to design efficient user authentication protocol we used a subgroup of Galois Field to problem domain. Proposed protocol does not use GF(p/sup 6/) that is existent finite field, and uses GF(p²) that is subgroup and solves problem. XTR-ElGamal based user authentication protocol reduced bit number that is required when exchange key by doing with upside. Also, proposed protocol provided easy calculation and execution by reducing required overhead when calculate. In this paper, we designed authentication protocol with y/sub i/ = g/sup b.p/sup 2(i-1)//ㆍv mol q, 1(equation omitted) 3 that is required to do user authentication.

Efficient Computation of the DFT and IDFT in Communication Systems Using Discrete Multitone Modulation

  • The Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and the Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform (IDFT) are commonly used in signal processing applications, in particular in digital communication sys-tems using the multi-carrier modulation principle. In such systems an IDFT is computed at the transmitter end, and a DFT at the re-ceiver end. This paper examines a technique of computations, for which only negligible differences appear between the DFT and the IDFT calculations while the number of arithmetic operations re-quired is substantially reduced. This offers significant advantages for the design of an IDFT/DFT processor for Discrete Multitone(DMT) systems.

  • 일반적으로 H.264/AVC 압축 표준의 CAVLC 복원 기법에 있어서 많은 횟수의 메모리 액세스가 요구되어진다. 그런데 이것은 상당한 전력 소모를 가져오기 때문에 DMB 및 비디오폰 서비스에 있어서 큰 문제가 된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 효율적인 run_before 복원 방식을 제안한다. 제안 방식에서는 산술 연산으로 구성된 FSM 기법을 토대로 하여 복호화시에 야기되는 메모리 액세스가 제거된다. 모의 실험 결과는 제안 방식에 의하여 화질의 손실이 발생하지 많으며 시스템 Power가 절약됨을 보여준다.

GPU를 이용한 삼각형 집합의 외경계 계산 알고리즘 (GPU Algorithm for Outer Boundaries of a Triangle Set)

  • We present a novel GPU algorithm to compute outer cell boundaries of 3D arrangement subdivided by a given set of triangles. An outer cell boundary is defined as a 2-manifold surface consisting of subdivided polygons facing outward. Many geometric problems, such as Minkowski sum, sweep volume, lower/upper envelop, Bool operations, can be reduced to finding outer cell boundaries with specific properties. Computing outer cell boundaries, however, is a very time-consuming job and also is susceptible to numerical errors. To address these problems, we develop an algorithm based on GPU with a robust scheme combining interval arithmetic and multi-level precisions. The proposed algorithm is tested on Minkowski sum of several polygonal models, and shows 5-20 times speedup over an existing algorithm running on CPU.

  • 사각형 윈도우에 대하여 2차원 선분 절단을 효율적으로 수행하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 알고리즘은 선분 절단에 필요한 산술 및 논리 연산의 수를 줄임으로써 수많은 선분으로 구성되는 화상을 그리는데 적합하며, 다른 알고리즘과 비교하여 그 효율성을 나타내었다.

  • This paper presents a new structure of MPEG-4 AAC encoder. The proposed encoder directly shapes quantization noise distribution according to the energy distribution curve and thereafter performs adjustment of the offset level of the noise distribution to meet the given bit rate. The direct noise shaping and the bit rate matching scheme of the proposed encoder algorithm significantly alleviate the problem of conventional encoder's processing burden related with the employment of the precise psychoacoustic model and iteration intensive quantizer. The encoder algorithm is implemented on ARM processor with fixed-feint arithmetic operations. The audio quality of the implemented system is observed comparable to those of commercially available encoders, white the complexity of the implementation is drastically reduced in comparison to the conventional encoder systems.
