Through the 20th century architectural theory of rational thinking and the principles according to the statement of the firm, Le Corbusier's early works by analyzing the language of architecture, including his architectural concepts and helps the understanding of modern architecture. Masters of modern architecture as a place among the works of Le Corbusier in the 1920s, 'Le Corbusier's White Period' homes to target by age, and that his initial concept of the formation process of clarifying, further the construction of his golden age will be the key to understand. I selected housings from Maison Citrohan to villa Savoye, the category of architectural elements by considering the development process, he examines developments of the concept of modern architectural space. In analysis process, First of all, I am focused on between each element in the development process to review and explicate the integration process. The advent of the machine which he lived, because of its incredible potential reorganization of human society, as well as to celebrate the start of a new lifestyle. His architectural language of the times in the machinism could achieve progress and modern art, which is a new interpretation of the natural world.

Generally, functional design of FPSO has been done by the engineering firm designated by ship owner. Main equipment such as topside facility is imported from abroad. But sometimes, OFE (Owner Furnished Equipment) does not satisfy the PND (Product Need Date) of each production stage because the delivery date of OFE is not scheduled to satisfy the PND. And sometimes many loose items and equipment are complex from engineering which does not consider pre-outfitting. Main objective of this study is process improvements by maximizing pre-outfitting rate in the stage of equipping STP (Submerged Turret Production), one of main equipment on FPSO. In this study, we analyzed the factors which obstructed pre-equipping STP using the past records of FPSO projects.

This study aimed to analyze the current status of preservation of buildings in the Cultural Heritage Zone of folk village. Since actual residents inhabit and live in cultural properties, for instance a folk village, so their original forms have been changed over time responding to changes of the social environment. So this present study selected one folk village, located in the largest cultural heritage zone and lived most resident in our country, after which investigated its deformation process. This study also conducted in-depth analysis relying on the data collected from aerial photographs, field surveys, building ledgers. In particular, such analysis focused on changes in unauthorized alteration to the existing state that have been attempted so far. As a result, various variations were found in a number of buildings, caused from damages to landscape of cultural assets. Finally, the reasons for such deformation were interpreted to utilize as future references for restoration of the folk village landscape.

Among Korea's national folk cultural heritage, eight villages have been designated, and 37 years have passed since Hahoe Village was first designated in 1984. All eight villages have been constantly inhabited by residents from the past to the present, so the cultural value of inferring the lives of our ancestors in the past is very high. However, due to the inconvenience of the settlement environment in existing houses due to changes in the living environment, buildings such as various residential facilities and warehouses have been installed and expanded without permission, losing the original cultural property landscape and building. In addition, complaints and conflicts from residents are accumulating due to the poor living environment in the village. Therefore, this study intends to present guidelines for conservation and maintenance that can embrace changes in resident's housing and living environment, based on the 'maintenance of original form', the grand principle of the Cultural Properties Protection Law about the Jeju Seongeup Village. In particular, the maintenance plan is largely subdivided into legalization, demolition, expansion and reconstruction, and detailed standards for each item and examples applied are proposed. Through this, it aims to become basic data on the starting point of realistic improvement measures for cultural properties and residents to coexist.

Many firms have had a passion for IT investment for years. Despite such a continuing investment in IT, the application of newer technologies to business work doesn't guarantee a great success. Some IT projects were doomed to failure or ineffectiveness. What could we do to lead IT project to the territory of effectiveness? One plausible and inevitable avenue is enterprise architecture (EA), which requires one to first come up with a simplified view of the complex entity to be designed and then proceed to design and develop it as directed by the architecture. Though there have been more materials on such EA work and real cases, there still exist a doubt about why EA is needed and how a firm can introduce it. This article first presents a structured understanding about EA and then describes the necessity, and the introducing ways of EA.

So far, the existing guideline called "Proposal Evaluation and Negotiation Guidelines for Weapon Systems (PE&NG)" has been employed even when choosing a development firm for the newly-adapted defense acquisition system, "Advanced Concept Technology Development(ACTD)". However, in that PE&NG ignores distinctive characteristics associated with ACTD programs, it is inappropriate. This study aims to propose an appropriate evaluation index which could be used to select the most suitable development company for the successful ACTD project. For this, Delphi techniques were used to collect extensive opinions of the hands-on workers. These opinion were consistently given but never gathered previously. The newly proposed index has a similar direction and range to the existing ones with its contents a little modified and simplified. Yet, it is more capable of evaluating candidates' proposals.

Chesbrough(2003, 2006) studied Open Innovation about not only IT advanced firms such as Intel or IBM, but also P&G or 3M which are traditional manufacturing firms. As West(2006) described, we can analyze open innovation in several levels such as firm level, industry level, sector, or cluster. Most of all, we could know that according to belonging industries, open innovation effect of firms are different based of technology life cycle, or modular or non modular architecture(JHJ YUN, 2010; JHJ YUN, 2009). In this research, we will study open innovation of Korea aeroplane industry. Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd is the flagship company in Korean aeroplane industry. We will study the open innovation relationship between Korean Aerospace Industries, Ltd and supplying firms based on Case study and Interview method. Our research question is this. Do supplying firms for Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd adopt open innovation strategy? If then, what kind of aspects do the open strategies have?

Shortage of SOC budget and inappropriate initial construction cost planning have worsened the economic sentiment of the construction firm. Construction VE can be one of the solutions for improving the profitability of construction projects. This study identifies the strong and weak points of construction firms for establishing the strategy of effective construction VE by using importance-performance analysis. As a result, construction firms have strong points on support, cooperation, and knowledge about construction VE, but have weak points on 'VE experience of VE leader', 'Detailed cost estimation', and 'Idea generation and evaluation'. This paper contributes to establishing the strategy of effective construction VE from the perspective of the construction firm, which is differentiated from previous studies that have focused on the institutional approach for construction VE.

Architectural firms that would like to adopt the BIM are currently in an unfavorable position because of reduced orders, polarization of orders, and low price design. This study was conducted to evaluate plausible methods for supporting introduction of BIM into small sized firms. Before suggesting plans for support, we analyzed support projects and laws relating to support for small sized firms, after which we conducted a survey of small sized firms that support the project. The survey was completed by 242 architects and consisted of questions regarding the following aspects: current status and problems associated with BIM utilization, preference of certain policies for BIM introduction support, and reasonable level of support. After the survey, it was concluded that architectural firms are willing to use BIM and agree with the need for financial support for BIM program purchase and education, as well as to support BIM experts and fund low interest loans. In conclusion, it is proposed that support plans for small sized architectural firms in the areas of BIM introduction consulting, financial funding for the introductory process, provision of education and experts, order support, and promotions for accomplishment be provided.

The objective of this study is to critically examine the result and the quality of urban park design as infrastructure by analyzing the landscape architectural design competition for Cheongna New City, which was organized by the Korea Land Corporation. This paper is meaningful in that it broadly examines several recent design competitions for urban parks, thereby discussing what the future urban park should be. This study explores the existing analysis methods of design competitions in order to establish a comprehensive method of analysis for the Cheongna competition. Through reinterpreting the concept of the urban park as infrastructure and the design strategies of landscape urbanism, nine key words and a framework for the analysis of urban park design are established. By analyzing the guidelines for the competition, five key words; networking, site, ecology, scale, and infrastructure have been selected and are used as the framework of analysis for the competition. The analysis of the contestants of the competition based on the proposed analysis method leads to a few implications for urban park design as infrastructure: networking and scale from the perspective of the development site; the creation of a sense of place and symbolism in creating the urban image; planning for an ecological urban environment; focus on the significance of the urban park as infrastructure. These implications are highlighted and discussed by the contestants through a variety of experiments. These ideas, however, are provided as a simple configuration of shapes and conceptual explanations and fail to be developed into synthetic, practical strategies.
