This paper is to provide problems and changes to be don Korean Green Building Certification Criteria, which are similar to American Leed certification and Japanese CASBBE, reorganizing and comparing those systems with domestic system. Normally, those certification program is very similar, but have some differences in the view to the site and environment chapter. That difference will be change to the right way that protect the nature states of the environment. Therefore, this study is going to base data to first step of the process for modify the differency problem.

This paper attempt to explore the shape of stress wave propagation of 3-dimensional stress field which in made in the process of the time increment. A finite element program about 3-dimensional stress wave propagation is developed for investigating the changing shape of the stress by the impact load. The finite element program, which is the solution for the 3-dimensional stress wave analysis, based on Galerkin and Newmark-${\beta}$ method at time increment step. The tensile stress and compressive stress become larger with the order of the middle , the upper and the opposite layers when the impact load is applied. In a while the shear stress become larger according to the order of the upper, the middle and the opposite layers when impact load applied.

This paper proposed the design of a new window signage system architecture, which utilized a window of a building, with attached LED for visible light communication. In this paper, the proposed method using the LED strip to transmit light data and receive the data through a HMD with a smart device camera. The LED strip attached to the existing building window, as a part of semi-transparent signage. Semi-transparent signage based on a controllable LED strip-modules and attached to the window used to provide entertainment contents and the information service to people through optical camera communication (OCC) as well. Also, this work suggests using the camera supplied Head Mounted Device (HMD) as an OCC receiver. The LED attached window signage system structure described in this paper can be utilized in various buildings infrastructure like house, shopping areas, industrial building, etc.
Purpose and Method: Despite benefits of building energy simulations, practitioners seem to be reluctant to use simulations for design decision making. By means of survey and interviews, this study aims to investigate domestic hindrance against increasing simulation usability, and to collect user requirement to enhance technical functionality of the simulation. Also this study compares the Information Sharing Workflow by Stantec and general domestic design process in order to identify a direction of the Integrated Design Process. Result: Finally this study wraps up with suggestions of how simulation functionality and use protocol should be in order to satisfy user requirement and also to gather more users.

This paper describes the design of a multistandard video encoder. The proposed encoder accepts conventional NTSC/PAL video signals, It also processes he PAL-plus video signal which is now popular in Europe. The encoder consists of five major building functions which are letter-box converter, color space converter, digital filters, color modulator and timing generator. In order to support multistandard video signals, a programmable systolic architecture is adopted in designing various digital filters. Interpolation digital filters are also used to enhance signal-to-noise ratio of encoded video signals. The input to the encoder can be either YCbCr signal or RGB signal. The outputs re luminance(Y), chrominance(C), and composite video baseband(Y+C) signals. The architecture of the encoder is defined by using Matlab program and is modelled by using Veriflog-HDL language. The overall operation is verified by using various video signals, such as color bar patterns, ramp signals, and so on. The encoder contains 42K gates and is implemented by using 0.6um CMOS process.

Using of masonry infill as partitions, in flat slab frame buildings is a common practice in many parts of the world. The infill is, generally, not considered in the design and the buildings are designed as bare frames. More of fundamental information in the effect of masomary infill on the seismic performance of RC building frames is in great demand for structural engineers. Therefore the main aim of this research is to evaluate the seismic performance of such buildings without (bare frame) and with various systems of the masonary infill. For this purpose, thirteen three dimensional models are chosen and analyzed by SAP2000 program. In this study the stress strain relation model proposed by Crisafulli for the hysteric behaviour of masonary subjected to cyclic loading is used. The results show that the nonstructural masonary infill can impart significant increase global strength and stiffness of such building frames and can enhance the seismic behaviour of flat slab frame building to large extent depending on infill wall system. As a result great deal of insight has been obtained on seismic response of such flat slab buildings which enable the structural engineer to determine the optimum position of infill wall between the columns.
The damping effect of a Concrete-filled Rectangular Steel Tube (CRST) frame structure is studied in this paper. Viscous dampers are employed to insure the function of the building especially subjected to earthquakes, for some of the main vertical elements of the building are not continuous. The shaking table test of a 1:15 scale model was conducted under different earthquake excitations to recognize the seismic behavior of this building. And the vibration damping effect was also investigated by the shaking table test and the simulation analysis. The nonlinear time-history analysis of the shaking table test model was carried out by the finite element analysis program CANNY. The simulation model was constructed in accordance with the tested one and was analyzed under the same loading condition and the simulation effect was then validated by the tested results. Further more, the simulation analysis of the prototype structure was carried out by the same procedure. Both the simulated and tested results indicate that there are no obvious weak stories on the damping equipped structure, and the dampers can provide the probability of an irregular CRST frame structure to meet the requirements of the design code on energy dissipation and deformation limitation.
Current Architectural Facade Designs have been trending to increased glass areas resulting in increasing impact on interior lighting and daylighting. In regards to indoor environmental quality, the increase in window space has a large impact on the daylighting received which ultimately impacts the liveability of a space. Especially when considering seasons, in the summer, excessive daylighting can result in glare as well as put an increased load in conditioning the air space further reducing energy efficiency. As a result, in order to improve the sustainability performance of a building, it is important to limit the natural lighting exposure to properly meet the needs and conditions of the building occupants. One of the most representative features to limit excessive sunlight exposure, is to incorporate operable blind systems. To this end, this research has been based on simulations performance through the Radiance Program. Radiance is capable of analyzing performance of daylight and impact of sunlight. Through analysis of different slat angles and blind shapes, impact and minimization of energy usage was evaluated. Furthermore, seasonal analysis was performed in order to understand the effects of seasonal climate factors. Ultimately this research provides an analysis of operable blinds optimization and effects of blind shape, control factors and angle of shading.
The Korean navy has made many efforts to apply the concepts of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and M&S to its naval design and production. However, most of the efforts that have being applied to some acquisition processes, focused only on the element technologies without information models and data frameworks. This study discusses an information model of naval ships for advanced naval acquisitions. We introduce a naval ship product model, and it refers to the DPD (Distributed Product Description) concept of SBA (Simulation-Based Acquisition). To realize the product model concept, we design a data architecture and develop a Product Model Management System (PMMS) based on a PDM System. It is validated through the case study of building the product model of the battle ship that the PMMS has the applicability to effectively manage the naval ship acquisition data on the basis of a 3D product model.
Due to the increase of carbon dioxide and building regulations, BIM is considered a way of low-carbon and eco-friendly building development for its many advantages. The advantages can be maximized with Open BIM since it can produce optimal results for various purposes of energy performance assessment. However there are some problems in data interoperability in the process of Open-BIM based energy performance assessment. To solve such problems, this study focuses on space boundary information interoperability between IFC of Open BIM and IDF format of Energy Plus known as the most accurate and diverse energy performance assessment. The study analyzes the analogous study then figures out the problems of IFC based energy performance analysis, and suggests the way of interoperability. Finally, the development of automation program makes this way much more effective. The study of IFC data interoperability is useful for improving the reliability of Open-BIM based energy assessment.
