Visualized information platforms through building information modeling (BIM) such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) improves the efficiency of architectural information exchange. Despite that, less effort has been directed to evaluate the effectiveness of different BIM visualization platforms for architectural design review. This study fills these gaps and compares three BIM visualization tools for reviewing diverse architectural review factors and technology acceptance degree. Three main BIM visualization tools, which are desktop-based, virtual reality-based and augmented reality-based, were employed and different architectural review factors and user's technology acceptance degree was measured. As a result, VR and AR environment showed better visual presentation than desktop environment during design review. In terms of the technology acceptance level, VR and AR environments have received higher ratings compared to desktop environments. The detailed findings provide guidelines for participants and researchers involved in design review process to selectively adopt VR and AR system to various architectural design review components.

In this Study, it was investigated what the critical elements of the Architectural Review by the Seoul Building Design Committee were. The critical elements selected by the members of committee were systematically analyzed. They were based on the 169 cases reviewed by the Building Design Committee. The committee consists of Professors, famous architects, architectural experts and official members. Thus, the critical elements selected by the committee can be regarded as the important criteria for the forthcoming architectural reviewing process. The critical elements selected by 960 members of the committee were classified by the frequency. The results in this study showed that the critical elements were ordered as follows: (1)floor plan, (2)landscape gardening, (3)form, (4)open space, (5)structure, (6)plan for preventing disasters, (7)circulation for men and cars, (8)facilities, (9)parking, (10)revision of drawings and documents. These criteria of the architectural evaluation established by the Seoul Building Design Committee can be applied to the fundamental preparation of the architectural review.

This report is to do design management for constructability review of high quality exposed concrete, which is used increasingly in recent. To secure systematic management at design phase, we reviewed each definition and work at each design phase, we define high quality exposed concrete, a part of architectural concrete, as "an exposed concrete which has well ordered joint & is in pursuit of smooth surface." We reviewed requirements and influential factor to obtain High quality finishing surface and compared construction process of high quality exposed concrete with that of other finishing method. Management method at each design phase for constructability review to meet additional works and requirements is presented.

본 연구는 국내 1인 가구수가 증가함에 따라 중소규모 공동주택에 대한 정책적 관심이 높아지는 가운데, 해당 사업 유형의 사업주들이 대비하기 가장 어려운 리스크로 건축심의가 지적되고 있다. 본 연구는 B도시의 25개 중소규모 공동주택 프로젝트에 대해 다차원 분석방법을 적용하여 건축심의 의견의 경향과 비정형데이터로서 건축심의 의견의 특성을 분석하였다. 대응분석 및 MDS 분석을 실시한 결과, 선행연구와 동일하게 B도시의 건축심의 의견은 주로 상위분류에서 '구조'와 '계획'에 관련된 키워드가 주를 이루었다. 즉, 모든 키워드의 출현빈도수 대비 각 상위분류의 빈도수의 합은, 선행연구의 직접분류결과는 '구조' 40%, '계획' 27%이며, 본 연구의 분석결과는 '구조' 44%, '계획' 39%인 것으로 나타났다. MDS모델의 적합도는 34.4%로 비교적 낮은 편이나, 대응분석을 통해 확인한 결과 건축심의의 비정형적 자료의 특성에 기인한 것으로 확인하였다. 또한, 본 연구에서 분석한 건축심의 의견과 같은 비정형적 데이터는 심의위원의 주관과 지자체별 양식에 따라 다양한 데이터의 조합과 출현이 이루어지며, 주로 언급되는 단어와 전혀 다른 키워드가 등장할 수 있어 첨도가 낮고 왜도가 높은 확률분포적 특성을 파악할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 일부 한계점이 있으나, 비정형 데이터로서 건축심의 의견의 특징을 도출해내었으며 추후 세부분석을 위한 기초 연구로서 활용 될 수 있을 것이다.

It is an obstacle to improve living environments that an acute angle architectural design is often seen. Though that design give a stress to the neighborhood, we can't prevent the design taking place. We must control architectural design, because it is important to public worth and urban aesthetic. To prevent selfish architectural design, it is recommend to extend design review and reflect neighborhood opinions.

국내 1인 가구 수가 2000년대 이후로 증가함에 따라, 건축심의 대상인 중소규모 신축 공동주택 사업도 함께 증가세를 보이고 있다. 더불어, 건축심의제도 도입이후 최근까지도 건축심의제도의 한계점에 대한 많은 의견이 연구를 통해 지속적으로 제기되어 왔다. 이에 본 연구는 두 집단의 전문가를 대상으로 종합적 설문조사 및 인터뷰를 진행하였고, 해당 결과를 통해 B도시의 건축심의의 한계점에 대한 AHP 분석을 진행하였다. 총 27개 응답으로 구성된 설문결과는 '건축심의 제도의 한계', '심의위원의 한계' 및 '건축심의 행정절차의 불합리함' 의 순서로 심각성이 크다고 분석되었다. 또한, 건축직 공무원과 건축사의 그룹별 응답결과 항목별 중요도에 대한 인식에 차이가 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구결과는 건축행정 절차 중 심의제도 개선에 대한 초기연구자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Virtual reality is one of the key emerging technologies of the 21th century and it has been used in a variety of ways in the fields of architectural research. Virtual reality is presented as an ideal alternative for studying the interaction between space and humans because it provides a realistic spacial experience while allowing experimenters to control environmental variables at a low cost easily. It allowed us to deepen our knowledge of human spatial experience in the built environment. However, existing reviews do not include the following points: 1) previous review research has been focused on using virtual reality technology in construction and engineering, not spatial experience, 2) recently, some review researches started to study the interaction between space and humans in the built environment, however, they do not suggest specific concepts of spatial experience. The present review aims to examine the existing literature about measuring spatial experience using virtual reality in architectural design. The study conducted a systematic qualitative review that analyzes and synthesizes the evolving literature regarding design elements, methodology, and usability. The study concludes with an overall discussion and their potential for providing further directions for future research.
