Background and Purpose : Recently oriental medicine is making a new try for arthritis therapy, one of them is herbal acupuncture. Herbal acupuncture is therapy which combines acupuncture with herbal medicine. Also, aquatherapy will be the good method for arthritis therapy. Aquatherapy begins with YMCA aquatic exercise program in 1984 by America athritis foundation. Aquatherapy uses buoyancy, hydmstatic pressure, resistance, water temperature which is four water characters. So we should study on the herbal acpuncture and aquatherapy. Objecitve and Method : This study researched 21 thesises for herbal acupuncture and many artcles and data for aquatherapy. 21 thesises for herbal acpuncture is divided two groups. One group is about effect on alleviation of pain(18 thesises), the other group is for antiphlogistic effect(13 thesises). About aquatherapy, we research many books, papers, and aquatherpy method, for example Ai Chi, BACKHAB, Watsu. Result and Conclusions : About herbal acupuncture, we researched 21 thesises, and 17 thesises proved the effect on alleviation of pain, 13 thesises proved the antiphlogistic effect of herbal acupuncture. For the aquatherapy, we researched many datas, and concluded like this. Due to the lessned effect of gravity, patients in exercising in water will have very little body weight and very little impact. So, aquatherapy or aquaexercise is an excellent exercise medium for the people who are experiencing some physical difficulty.

There are positive effects, such as pain reduction, when rheumatism patients exercise in water, but the cause of the pain reduction is unclear, and research on this is inadequate. This study examined the flow of the surface of the foot and the principles of pain relief. Unsteady simulations were conducted to analyze the flow, which was performed by repeatedly setting the movement of the foot raising and descending three times. Pressure fluctuations and frequencies were analyzed by designating pressure points at the painful location. The results showed that a positive and negative pressure of approximately ±500Pa was applied overall. A pressure of approximately ±2000Pa was applied when the direction of movement was changed. A frequency of approximately 35 to 80Hz was generated in the area where rheumatoid arthritis pain frequently occurs. The effects of reducing pain could be predicted when continuous pressure fluctuations and frequencies are applied repeatedly to the painful location, blood circulation promotion. The results could be used as basic data to understand the principles of aquatic exercise and support the development of underwater exercise programs and developing related medical equipment.
The quality of cultured fish was evaluated in this study by using physicochemical method. The speed of a current was taken a decision 0.5 m/s by a preliminary experiment. No-exercise trained group was not much significantly changed moisture content, lipid content, collagen content and breaking strength during cultured time (P>0.05). But moisture content of exercise trained group was 72.05$\pm$1.45% at the first time and increased to 3% after 20 days. Lipid content was initially 5.36$\pm$0.90% and reduced to 46% during the cultured time. The breaking strength increased during cultured time, on the contrary collagen content did not change significantly. Relation between each elements during the cultured time, moisture content and lipid content was significantly correlated with breaking strength (P<0.05, r=0.60 and P<0.05, 0.56). But relation between breaking strength and collagen content was not clear (P>0.05, r=0.16). These results were suggested that the increase of breaking strength after exercise was affected by lipid content not collagen content.
Chemoenzymatic method was used in this study to evaluate the quality of cultured red seabrim. Level of ATP related compounds, ATPase and Adenylate energy charge (AEC) well reflected changes in condition of fish. ATP level in the muscle of exercised cultured red seabream was decreased significantly during cultured period. In contrast, the level of ADP in the muscle was increased during the period. Level of ATP related compounds in the muscle of cultured red seabream without exercise didn't show significant difference compared to the exercised group. AEC value in muscle of cultured red seabream without exercise was 0.89$\pm$0.02, while AEC value of the exercised group was 0.88$\pm$0.04. ATP and AEC levels among different size of fish did not show any significant difference. AEC value in all sample was higher than 0.8, indicating that the condition of cultured fish was healthy. Activity of Mg2$^{+}$ (+Ca2$^{+}$), Mg2$^{+}$ (-Ca2$^{+}$) and Ca2$^{+}$-ATPase during culture period did not change significantly, regardless of exercise. Therefore, the AEC appears to have some validity as fish health indicator.
This is an experimental study that aimed to find out a possible relationships between the noise of the ship and the intelligent quotient, and the creativity of the crew member during June 5, to August 24, 1975. The experiment was carried out on the university training ship, the Oh-Bae-San Ho(1,126 tons), and the Kwan-Ak-San Ho (243 tons) and the training ship Baek-Kyung Ho (380 tons) of Je-ju College, where the total number of 144 students engaged on their tasks of practical exercise. And the following results were obtained : The decreases of I.Q. was evident as compared to the score obtained at the class room; soon after the embarking of the ship, the students on the deck decreased the score by $7\%$ of what they obtained at the class room while the students in the engine room decreased by $13\%$. The I.Q. was regaining the normal state after three days of embarking seemingly showing the fact that the students became adapted to the noise of the ship, but no remarkable improvement was visible during the period of 3 days to 35 days on the ship. One of the remarkable fact that had not been expected was that the problems for audio discernment was much easily solved in the midst of noise that made oral communication impossible (102 dB) than in the place of noise where conversation was possible(67 dB).
To meet the increasing demand from various fishing fields for training of fishing equipment operators, a fishing winch simulator was designed to train maritime students in the correct and safe operation of hydraulic winches under various load conditions related to fishing operations. The aim of this study is to describe the basic dynamic characteristics of the newly developed hydraulic fishing winch simulator and particularly to analyze the mechanical responses produced on the winch operation controls. The winch simulator consists of two winch units, a computer control and data acquisition system, a control consol and other associated mechanisms. When one winch is in hauling mode, the other one will always be in loading mode. The revolution speed of the hauling winch was controlled by a proportional directional control valve, and the braking torque of the loading winch was controlled by a proportional pressure control valve. The simulation experiments indicated that the dynamic characteristics of the hauling winch followed the braking response characteristics of the loading winch. The tests also showed that the warp speed and tension linearly depend on the pressure differential across the motor of the loading winch controlled by operating the proportional pressure control valve during the hauling operation. The experience gained from various training courses showed that the fishing winch simulator was very realistic and it was valuable for training novice winch operators. The results of the winch simulation exercise were recorded and used to evaluate the training on the operation and handling of the winch system. From these test results, we concluded that the tension acting on the warp during hauling operations can successfully be simulated by controlling the pressure differential across the motor with step changes of the control input signal to the proportional pressure control valve of the loading winch.
Rehabilitation treatments after orthopedic surgery promote postoperative healing in humans. In veterinary medicine, there is increased interest in rehabilitation treatments because they are potentially beneficial to animals in the post-operation period. This study examined the effectiveness of rehabilitation treatment in dogs that underwent orthopedic surgeries, including femoral head & neck ostectomy (FHNO) and medial patellar luxation treatment (MPLT). The group that received the rehabilitation treatment after FHNO (1.88 weeks) showed a significantly shorter recovery length of 6.62 weeks compared to those that did not receive the treatment (8.50 weeks). The other group that received the rehabilitation treatment after MPLT (4.38 weeks) showed a significantly shorter recovery length of 5.01 weeks compared to those that did not receive the treatment (9.39 weeks). For the qualitative evaluation, the types and frequencies of rehabilitation treatments were monitored. The rehabilitation programs used frequently were heat therapy, laser therapy, passive range of motion, exercise therapy, and aquatic therapy. A standard rehabilitation program after hindlimb surgery was suggested based on the quantitative and qualitative investigation. The results add additional evidence that showed the beneficial effects of rehabilitation treatments in dogs.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to establish the foundations for the application of appropriate programs for pain reduction in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Methods: The literature on patients with rheumatoid arthritis were found on an electronic search site for South Korean academic papers. The search terms "rheumatism" and "rheumatoid arthritis" were used independently. The combined terms "rheumatism and pain" and "rheumatoid arthritis and pain" were also used. For the meta-analysis, the R version 3.5.1 program was utilized. Results: The meta-analysis of eight papers showed a large effect size of -4.11. The programs were most effective in the order of aquatic exercise, aromatherapy, self-help education, muscle strength exercises, and tai chi. Conclusion: This study could provide the basis for presenting appropriate programs for pain management in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the effectiveness of combined exercise for 12 weeks on the adiponectin and obesity related variables in overweight and obese children. Methods : Eighteen children in 5th grade in a certain elementary school in Busan were recruited. They were all overweight or obese children(more than 85 percentile in body mass index). Nine children in the experimental group were given exercises consisting of walking and band resistant training for 12 weeks. Auxological data(including height, weight and body fat mass) and laboratory data (fasting blood sugar, insulin, adiponectin) were checked at baseline and at the 1 week, and at the 4 weeks and 12 weeks stages of their exercise program. Insulin resistance and sensitivity were evaluated indirectly using HOMA index and QUICKI index. Results : Adiponectin gradually decreased until the 4 weeks point and gradually increased thereafter to the starting level at the 12 weeks stage. Body weight, body mass index(BMI) and HOMA index significantly decreased more at the 1 week, 4 weeks, and 12 weeks stages in the experimental group than in the control group. Body fat mass significantly decreased at 12 weeks. The change of insulin was significantly correlated with changes of body weight and BMI. But there was no correlation between changes of adiponectin and changes of insulin. Conclusion : Exercise seems to effect the adiponectin concentration. And it might be assumed that exercise increases the adiponectin concentration if it is continued for long time(may be more than 12 weeks). More studies may be necessary to draw that conclusion.
