  • A factor graph and belief propagation can be used for finding stochastic values of link weights in biological networks. However it is not easy to follow the process of use and so we presented the process with a toy network of three nodes in our prior work. We extend this work more generally and present numerical example for a network of 100 nodes.

  • In this paper, we obtain characterizations of continuous distributions based on the independent property of generalized record values extending the characterization results reported by Jin and Lee [4], Skřivánková and Juhás [8]. Also, example of special cases of general classes as Bur types, Pareto, power and Weibull distribution are discussed.

  • In this paper we present many interesting results such as completeness and composition theorems in the 𝛼 norm. Moreover, under some conditions, we establish the existence and uniqueness of Cn-(𝜇, 𝜈) pseudo-almost automorphic solutions of class r in the 𝛼-norm for some partial functional differential equations in Banach space when the delay is distributed. An example is given to illustrate our results.

  • This article introduces the notion of almost deferred weighted convergence, statistical deferred weighted almost convergence and almost deferred weighted statistical convergence for real valued sequences. Further, with the aid of interesting examples, we investigated some relationships among our proposed methods. Moreover, we prove a new type of approximation theorem and demonstrated that our theorem effectively extends and improves most of the earlier existing results. Finally, we have presented an example which proves that our theorem is a stronger than its classical versions.

  • In this paper, we study the saddlepoint approximations for the ratio of independent random variables. In Section 2, we derive the saddlepoint approximation to the probability density function. In Section 3, we represent a numerical example which shows that the errors are small even for small sample size.

  • Limiting probability in the steady state of regenerative process is one of the most useful characteristics. The formula for this limiting probability in the steady state of the regenerative process is presented in this paper. Because this formula is for the general model, it can be applied to many special systems including 2-unit redundant system. An example for this formula is also presented.

  • A procedure for selecting regressors in the linear regression model is suggested using local influence approach. Under an appropriate perturbation scheme, the effect of perturbation of regressors on the profile log-likelihood displacement is assessed for variable selection. A numerical example is provided for illustration.
