Purpose: This study has been started with the awareness that light and color are the main visual sensors of the multi-sensory stimulation environment to achieve the therapeutic environment for demented elderly. The purpose of this study therefore is for clarifying the application characteristics of therapeutic light and color for dementia care facilities. Methods: Internal and external literature reviews have been conducted for the investigation into a)disorders and visual system in demented elderly, b)therapeutic effects of light and color, c)heliotherapy, light therapy and color therapy to deduce the therapeutic characteristics of light and color for demented elderly, and finally into d)the application characteristics of it for dementia care facilities. Results: The application characteristics of the therapeutic light and color for dementia care facilities are classified into both qualitative and quantitative characteristics. Qualitative application characteristics of light represented using of daylight, using of lighting approximate to daylight, expansion of iluminance level, equality in iluminance Level, reduction of shadow, and as well as exclusion of blare. Quantitative application characteristics of it represented iluminance level, color temperature and color rendering index prescribed in international lighting standards. Qualitative application characteristics of color represented non-monochromatic color, color contrast, long wavelength of yellow-red colors, exclusion of short wavelength of blue colors and patterns, and as well as different colors for idenfication. Quantitative application characteristics of it represented kontrast(K) prescribed in DIN32975:2009 and light reflectance value(LRV) prescribed in BS8300:2009. Implications: To form dementia care facilities as therapeutic environment both qualitative and quantitative application characteristics of therapeutic light and color in dementia care facilities are needed.

The main objectives of this paper are as follows: 1) identifying th procedural characteristics of application software package acquisition and, 2) analyzing the relationship between those characteristics and MIS performance. Three stages and thirty core tasks of the application software package acquisition process were identified after reviewing relevant literature. The model specifying the relationship between procedural characteristics of application software package acquisition and MIS performance was established and 12 hypotheses were derived. Data were collected form 41 Korean companies and hypotheses were tested empirically.

The growing popularity of mobile application has led to researchers and practitioners needing to understand users' mobile application download behaviors. Using large-scale transaction data obtained from a leading Korean telecommunications company, we empirically explore how application download rank, which appears to users when they decide to download a new application, affects their extended mobile application download. This terminology refers to downloading an additional application in the same category as those that they have already downloaded. We also consider IT characteristics, user characteristics, and application type that might be associated with the extended application download. The analysis generates the following result. Overall, a higher rank of a new application encourages the extended application download, but the linear relationship between the rank and the extended application download disappears when critical rank points are incorporated into the model. Further, no quadratic effect of rank is found in the extended application download. Based on the results, we suggest theoretical and managerial implications.

O2O service that combine online with offline service has been rapidly increasing and O2O service is the new trend that merges online commerce with traditional markets in various fields. The purpose of this study is to investigate influences of University Student's Perceived O2O application characteristics on O2O services satisfaction and continuous use intention. For this purpose, questionnaires including O2O application characteristics scale, customer perceived O2O satisfaction scale and O2O use intention scale were administered to 241 college students in Seoul. Regression analysis revealed that O2O application Characteristics showed influences of O2O service satisfaction. The O2O application charac*teristics showed influences of continuous use of intention of O2O services, O2O services satisfaction showed partial influence continuous use intention of O2O service. The result of this study is expected to provide implication as an initial study O2O service which is spreading with the growth of mobile ICT. Ultimately, the results of this study provide a number of theoretical and practical implications.

In this paper, the fault current limiting characteristics of the flux-lock type SFCL (superconducting fault current limiter) using magnetic application circuit were analyzed. The flux-lock type SFCL has the structure to install the magnetic application circuit, which can increase the resistance of HTSC ($high-T_C$ superconducting element comprising) the SFCL. To analyze the fault current limiting effect of the flux-lock type SFCL through the magnetic flux application circuit, the flux-lock type SFCL either with the magnetic flux circuit or without the magnetic flux circuit was constructed and the fault current limiting characteristics of the SFCL were compared each other through the short-circuit tests.

CAPTCHAs are automated tests that are there to avoid misuse of computing and information resources by bots. Typical text-based CAPTCHAs are proven to be vulnerable against malicious automated programs. In this paper, we present an image-based CAPTCHA scheme using easily identifiable human appearance characteristics that overcomes the weaknesses of current text-based schemes. We propose and evaluate two applications for our scheme involving 25 participants. Both applications use same characteristics but different classes against those characteristics. Application 1 is optimized for security while application 2 is optimized for usability. Experimental evaluation shows promising results having 83% human success rate with Application 2 as compared to 62% with Application 1.

모바일애플리케이션은 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 스마트디바이스 기반에서 활용되는 SW를 말한다. 최근 스마트디바이스의 보급률과 이용률이 지속적으로 증가하면서 개인과 기업들은 수많은 모바일애플리케이션 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 하지만 모바일애플리케이션의 양이 급증하는 것에 비해 모바일애플리케이션의 품질 평가에 관한 연구는 매우 부족하여 모바일애플리케이션의 품질기준이 정립되지 않은 실정이다. 더욱이, 모바일애플리케이션은 스마트디바이스를 통해 활용되므로 이동성과 휴대성, 인터넷 접속성 등의 다양한 특성, 스마트디바이스의 하드웨어적 특징(저성능 고효율의 CPU, 메모리 등)을 포함하고 있기 때문에, 일반적인 SW와는 차별화된 품질기준과 평가모델이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 필요성에 따라 모바일애플리케이션 평가모델을 제안하고자 한다. 평가모델은 국제표준인 ISO/IEC 25000의 품질속성에 기반하여 제안하였으며, 검증을 위해 시나리오 기반의 사례연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구는 모바일애플리케이션의 품질을 평가하는데 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

본 연구는 최근에 스마트폰을 활용한 모바일 정보탐색 및 활용정도가 급격히 증가함에 이를 이용한 소비자들의 행동특성 활용가치에 대한 연구가 중요하다고 강조되고 있으며 많은 연구가 진행되어왔다. 이에 컨벤션산업에서의 모바일을 활용한 정보제공이 점차 늘어나고 있으며, 특히 모바일 어플리케이션을 활용한 컨텐츠 제공이 점차 늘어나고 있으며 이에 따라 컨벤션 참가객들의 정보수집 및 획득 특성에 변화가 나타나고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 컨벤션 모바일 어플리케이션 특성에 따른 이용만족도 및 충성도와의 관계를 분석하였고 모바일 어플리케이션 특성 중 이용편리성, 정보성, 편재성, 오락성 등이 영향을 주는 것으로 파악되었다. 따라서 컨벤션 모바일 어플리케이션에 대한 활용정도 및 고객품질 증진을 위하는 것이 결과적으로 컨벤션 개최 성과도 영향을 주고 있음에 따라 컨벤션 모바일 어플리케이션에 대한 관리에 신중할 필요가 있다고 본다.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) have proved to be useful in applications that involve monitoring of real-time data. There is a wide variety of monitoring applications that can employ Wireless Sensor Network. Characteristics of a WSN, such as topology and scale, depend upon the application, for which it is employed. Security requirements in WSN vary according to the application dependent network characteristics and the characteristics of an application itself. Key management is the most important aspect of security as some other security modules depend on it. We discuss application dependent variations in WSN, corresponding changes in the security requirements of WSN and the applicability of existing key management solutions in each scenario.

Due to the explosive growth of smartphone use, new type and format of business opportunity is being created. Despite the creation of added value using smartphone is very important, the past study on smart phone has been mainly focused on its functions and specifications. This study is intended to identify the factors that influence continuance usage intention of smartphone and to analyze the relationship between such factors and the expected confirmation. satisfaction, and usage intention. The result of this empirical study indicates that the perceived enjoyfulness and quality significantly affect users' expected confirmation and satisfaction, and social influence also affects users' continuance usage intention. Thus, it implies users place a high value on enjoyfulness and quality in using smartphone application and on social influence in choosing specific application. Finally this paper provides a detailed account of how customers accept smartphone application and their perceived characteristics affect the usage intention.
