  • Affordance is a kind of mental physiology, used by psychologist Donald A. Norman as a design idea, defined as "the property that something can directly and essentially provide something to a person or animal". This idea of returning to the essence and providing properties intuitively has a new guiding effect on product design. The purpose of this thesis is to take the theory of affordance as the basis of design concept, and redesign the shape of desktop lamps in small home appliances, so as to optimize the product shape. A product styling design method based on the concept of affordance is established through four major classifications of affordance, and a styling design scheme is completed using a tabletop luminaire in small home appliances as an example, and then a product styling design evaluation system is used to evaluate the new tabletop luminaire styling design scheme and the existing styling, and the evaluation results are analyzed. Finally, it is concluded that a new product styling design method based on affordance is constructed, and the feasibility and effectiveness of this method are verified, which provides ideas and theoretical basis for product styling design.

  • Housewives residing in the Kyongsang-Buk-do area were surveyed to determine their ownership of Korean traditional kitchen appliances and their usages. A breakdown of the appliances for the survey was as follows: 16 tableware, 17 household utensils, 15 heating utensils, 14 ceramic and earthen pottery, 6 stone utensils, 9 cooking utensils, 9 utensils made of the dried bamboo and bush clover, and 13 dining tables ("sang"). The types of the appliances with the largest ownerships and most frequently used were as follows: The jeopsi was most frequently owned, followed by the daejeop and the jaengban. The most frequently used item was the jubal,, followed by the daejeop and the jeopsi. Among the wooden utensils, bangmangi was most frequently owned, followed by the chanjang, the che, the doe, mal and hop. The most frequently used household utensil was the chanjang, followed by the takjasang and the doe, mal and hop. The utensil the most people owned fur heating was the jujeonja, followed by the seoksoe, the musoesot and the siru. The most frequently used utensil for heating was the jujeonja, the musoesot and the seoksoe, in the order. As for the ceramic and earthen pottery, hangari and dok were owned and used most frequently. The maetdol and the jeolgu, though very low in their ownership rate, were most frequently owned items among the stoned utensils. The kal and the doma were the most frequently owned and used cooking utensils. The sokuri, and the chaeban and the baguni were the most frequently owned among the utensils made of the dried bamboo, bush clover and straw, while the sokuri was used the most frequently, followed by the chaeban and the jori. Among the dining tables, the kyojasang was the item most frequently owned, followed by the seonban and the chaeksangban, while the wonban was the most frequently used, followed by the kyojasang and the chaeksangban.eksangban.

  • As mobile devices prevail, requests for various services using mobile devices have increased. Requests for application services that require large data space such as multimedia, game and database [1] specifically have greatly increased. However, mobile appliances have difficulty in applying various services like a wire environment, because the storage capacity of one is not enough. Therefore, research (5) which provides remote storage service for mobile appliances using iSCSI is being conducted to overcome storage space limitations in mobile appliances. But, when iSCSI is applied to mobile appliances, iSCSI I/O performance drops rapidly if a iSCSI client moves from the server to a far away position. In the case of write operation, $28\%$ reduction of I/O performance occurred when the latency of network is 64ms. This is because the iSCSI has a structural quality that is very .sensitive to delay time. In this paper, we will introduce an intermediate target server and localize iSCSI target to improve the shortcomings of iSCSI performance dropping sharply as latency increases when mobile appliances recede from a storage server.

  • Intraoral filled type of orthodontic appliance can cause reversible or irreversible damages such as gingivitis, periodontitis, enamel decalcification, dental caries, root resorption, and pulpal changes. Such adverse effects are brought by increase in dental plaque as well as oral flora. Such an increase causes gingival inflammation and enamel decalcification. The purpose of this study is to get klowledge on initial changes in dental plaque, gingivitis, and enamel decalcification after bonding fixed orthodontic appliances according to time flow, gender, and sides(right/left) of premolar region. For control group, 48 students of dental college, Yonsei university(26 males, 22 females) were chosen; for experimental group, 73 orthodontic patients(36 males, 37 females) who will be treated with fixed appliances were chosen. All the subjects had no systemic disease, juvenile periodontitis and all the females had passed their ,menarche. Tooth brushing instruction was given to all the subjects prior to the experiment. For control group, plaque index, gingival index, and decalcification index were measured twice at 3 weeks interval ; for experimental group, the same was done prior to, 3, 6, 9 weeks after bonding fixed appliances. The following results were obtained: 1. In plaque index 3 weeks after placement of appliances, and it showed gradual increase afterwards. 2. In gingival index3 weeks after placement of appliances, and afterwards it showed increase at a faster rate than plaque index. 3. Enamel decalcification began to show between 3 and 6 weeks after bonding fixed appliances. Decalcification index began to increase 6 weeks after appliance placement, but there was no statistical significance. 4. When the comparison was made between two sides of premolar region, the right side showed greater index in plaque and gingival index of experimental group.
