  • Real estate brokerage app service is an emerging online-to-offline (O2O) business model. This study analyze the relationship between the satisfaction and reuse of real estate app services through a survey of experienced users of the application. The results show that "ease of use" and "usefulness" of the online app service positively affect customer satisfaction and eventually affects reuse. Moreover, ease of use and usefulness of the offline brokerage introduced by the application positively affects customer satisfaction and eventually affects reuse too. One meaningful finding is the stronger impact of usefulness on customer satisfaction than that of ease of use in both online and offline situations. This finding implies that the value of usefulness is bigger than that of ease of use because of users who purposely use the application to find relevant real estates. The effect of online customer satisfaction on reuse is slightly higher than that of offline. This finding suggests that need to develop a strategy for online applications that focuses on enhancing the usefulness of real estate brokerage app services in the O2O market.

As for the first function, Basic Information, it was considered to provide information on a brand such as prices, sizes and colors of products which should be the most fundamental function of a fashion brand. The function would include look book, catalogues, photographs and others of products, helping users of the app with their understanding on images and concepts of the brand. Second, SNS function was considered useful for its mobility and communication and with the help of theirs, the users share fashion information with each other. Third, AR function as in a filed of virtual reality would edit virtual objects to look real in an actual environment. This would eventually offer the users a chance to try for clothes virtually. The fourth function, LBS, would work with GPS to find a store closest from a present location. This would be a help when the users try to find stores holding promotion events or trails while hiking in mountains. The fifth Entertainment function would include all sorts of games and chances for the users to listen to music and keep fashion diaries. The sixth function, Mobile Shopping, would help the users purchase items online via the app as they would not visit a store in person. The seventh function, Live Streaming, would give the users chances to actually see fashion collections in real time, held all over the world in every season. Because of this function, not only fashion experts but also regular people have become able to enjoy the fashion shows. The distinctive characteristics of the fashion brand application discussed in the study will be a useful reference when any relevant fields try to design other new fashion brand application.

  • Online reviews offer valuable information to businesses by reflecting consumer experiences about their products and services. Two important aspects of online reviews are first, the topics consumers choose to address and second, the sentiments expressed in their reviews. Building upon previous literature that shows online reviews are context-dependent, we examine the impact of topic distribution on review sentiment in South Korea and the U.S. during pre-and post-pandemic periods. After performing topic modeling on Airbnb app review data, we measure the contribution of each topic on review sentiment using SHAP values. Our results indicate variations in topic distribution trends between 2018 and 2021. Also, the order and magnitude of topics' impact on review sentiment change between pre-and post-pandemic periods for both countries. This study can help businesses to understand how topics and sentiments associated with their products and services changed after pandemic, and also help them identify areas of improvement.

  • The mobile game industry has become the one of the fastest growing industries with its astonishing market size. Despite its industrial importance, a few studies empirically considered actual purchasing behavior in mobile games rather than the intention to purchase. Therefore, this paper investigates the key drivers of in-app purchase by analyzing the game-log dataset provided from a mobile game company in Korea. Specifically, the effects of goal-directed, habitual and social-interacted playing behavior are analyzed on in-app purchase. Furthermore, the recursive relationship with playing and purchasing behaviorsis also considered. The result shows that all suggested factors have positive impacts on in-app purchase in the current period. In addition, the effect of previous habitual playing has a positive impact, but the effect of social-interacted playing and in-app purchase in the previous period have negative impacts on in-app purchase of the current period. These findings can improve our understanding of the impact of game playing on in-app purchase in mobile games, and provide meaningful insights for researchers and practitioners.
