퇴적분지형성 메커니즘에 관한 아날로그 모델 실험 (An Analog Experimental Model of the Formation Mechanism of Sedimentary Basins)

  • 일본 시코쿠 서부의 이즈미 퇴적분지는 중앙구조선의 굴곡부(사쿠라기 굴곡) 서쪽에 널리 분포하고 있다. 시코쿠 서부의 이즈미 퇴적분지의 형성 메커니즘은 아직 잘 알려지지 않고 있다. 이즈미 퇴적분지의 층서는 일반적으로 굴곡부를 향해서 퇴적시기가 젊게 퇴적되는 경향을 보인다. 이 특징은 비대칭 pull-apart 퇴적분지와 비슷하다. 그래서, 이즈미 퇴적분지가 비대칭 pull-apart 퇴적분지인지에 대한 연구를 아날로그 모델실험을 이용하여 수행하였다. 실험을 실시하여 길이 60 cm, 폭 20 cm 정도의 퇴적 분지가 형성되었다. 모래 표면에는 퇴적분지를 감싸듯 2차 단층으로 정단층이 나타났다. 또한, 변위방향과 평행한 단면에서는 퇴적한 층이 개방성의 굴곡부를 향해서 층리가 젊어져 가는 구조가 보였다. 변위방향과 수직단면에서는 주로 단층과 반대의 경사를 가진 선상(listric) 정단층이 확인되었다. 이 결과는 이즈미 시코쿠 서부의 퇴적분지와 매우 유사하며, 이즈미 시코쿠 서부의 퇴적분지가 비대칭 pull-apart퇴적분지의 가능성을 지지하는 것이다.

  • Objectives: This study was to examine literature on postdivorce partnership focused on cohabiting & Living Apart Together(LAT) and prospect postdivorce partnership in Korea in the near future. Method: For this study, domestic and foreign literature were reviewed especially on recent studies on living apart together(LAT). Results: Reviewed overseas studies showed that studies on cohabitation and Living Apart Together(LAT) were increased and prevalent in the divorced as an alternative marriage type following divorce partnership and many research have been proceeded on definition and classification and dynamics in those relationships. Especially studies are on the rise recently on LAT with importance demographically and academically among middle and older people. In comparison to overseas studies, very little research on partnership following divorce, especially on LAT in Korea. Conclusion: Considering increasing divorce rate rapidly in the milddle aged in Korea, it is expected that LAT following divorce might be emerged in the divorced in Korea. Therefore, it is needed to pay a lot of attention to cohabitation following divorce and Living Apart Together(LAT) as a postdivorce partnership and as an alternative type of marriage and to be treated as a significant phenomenon socially and academically.

가구주분리가족과 일반가족의 가구주스트레스, 의사소통, 가족응집성.적응성의 비교연구 (A Study of Husband's Stress, Communication, Family Cohesion and Adaptation in Families Living Apart and Living Together)

  • This study aims to compare the husband's stress, communication, family cohesion and adaptation which contribute to the internal structure of conjugal understanding between families living apart from one another and those living together. The data for analysis was derived from questionnaires. 172 husbands from families living apart and 185 husbands who live with their families. The data was treated by spss pc+ program and the methods of analysis were frequency, t-test and one-way ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows : 1. Husband's stress in conjugal understanding in families living apart was higher than those who live with their families. 2. Between the husbands whose families are living apart and those who are living together, there were no significant differences in effort levels to overcome stress, family cohesion, family adaptation and communication needs for conjugal understanding. 3. Husbands who live with their families communicate differently according to the degree of their stress levels. 4. Low stress levels led to high family cohesion and family adaptation in both cases. 5. High communication levels led to high family cohesion and family adaptation in both cases.

주말부부의 거주유형에 따른 심리적 비용과 보상에 관한 연구 (The Psychological Costs and Rewards of Weekend Couples by the Type of Living Together)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the weekend couples' type of residence, and to identify the factors to determine their major living place. Specifically, this study dealt with the weekend couples' psychological costs and rewards when they live apart in weekdays. The data were collected from 33 married couples from 2002 June to July about their family life history. The major findings of this study were summarized as follows: 1) the type of living together ; husband living apart on weekdays, wife living apart on weekdays, wife and child living apart on weekdays, living multi-residence. The majority of them were the type of husband living apart on weekdays. 2) children's care and education were an important factor in a couple's decision 3) weekend couples' psychological costs were such as difficulties of children's care, very fatiguing, shortage of time, and emotional isolation. In spite of all these costs, weekend couples still maintain their separate living arrangements during the week. They felt different kind of psychological costs by the type of living together. 4) psychological rewards were professional success, self-fulfillment, plenty of time to use purposely, and weekenders' relationships to their spouses might seem better than before. Socialization of child-care and household-labor are important factors to reduce psychological costs for the all weekend couples.

각종매몰재와 주조 금속에 따른 주조관의 적합도에 관한 실험적 연구 (Comparing Fitness of Casting Crowns with Various Investments and Casting Metals)

  • The experimental investication wax performed to study fitness of casting crowns with various investment widely used in Korea. 36 wax patterns were invested and casted according to the regular casting method. The result were as follow : 1. Casting with cristobalite investments of Shofu were seen apart, 0.04mm the tightest space in the linguo and bucco-cervical margin. And the largest deviation, 0.1mm was shown in the central groove 0.1mm was shown in the central groove area of occlusal surface(Jensen Metal) 2. Casting with cristobalite investments of kerr were seen apart, 0.04mm the tightest space in the linguo and bucco-cervical margin And the largest deviation, 0.09 was shown in the central groove area of occlusal surface(Jensen Metal) 3. Casting with Quartz investments of G-C were seen apart, 0.04mm the tightest space in the linguo-cervical margin, And the largest deviation, 0.1mm was shown in the central groove area of occlusal surface(Jensen Metal) 4. Casting with cristobalite investments of kerr shown the best fitness and Bo-sung A type gold alloy showed the best fitness.

Degree of conversion of resin composite cured by light through a translucent fiber posts

  • PURPOSE. This study evaluated the depth of cure of resin composite cured by light through a translucent fiber post. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The opaque plastic tubes in various lengths of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 mm. were filled with resin composite in which two different translucent fiber posts were inserted into the center and photo-polymerized for 40 seconds. The degree of conversion of the cured composite at bottom surface were examined using Fourier transform infrared attenuated total reflection spectrometer (FTIR/ATR) at 0.1, 0.5 and 1.0 mm apart from the post surface. RESULTS. The degree of conversion of the 0.1 mm, 0.5 mm, 1.0 mm apart from the post surface was highest at the 2 mm level and continuously decreased when the distance from the light source was increased and drastically decreased when the depth from the top of the post was greater than 4-6 mm. For each level, the highest degree of conversion was at 0.1 mm from the post surface and decreased continuously when the distance apart from the post surface was increased. CONCLUSION. The quantity of light transmission depends on the type of post and the light transmission capability of the post, especially after 4-6 mm depth and the area further apart from the post surface, are insufficient for clinical light activation of resin composite.

근접 철도터널의 굴착계획 및 설계 사례 (A Case on Excavation Plan and Design of Adjacent Railroad Tunnel)

  • The points of this design case are the planning and excavation method of a new double-tracked railroad tunnel which is approx. 11∼22 meters apart from existing single-tracked railroad tunnel. For the optimum excavation method some needs are required in design stage, such as the reduction of noise and vibration, public resentment, damage of buildings and construction costs. Hence the estimation and application of allowable noise and vibration criterion is important. The ground coefficient (K, n) of this site is determined by field trial blasting. The excavation method is chosen to satisfy the allowable noise and vibration criterion. In addition, in order to ensure the stability of existing single-tracked railroad tunnel, the instrumentation of maintenance level is accompanied during the construction stage. As a result of this design condition, central diaphragm excavation with line drilling and pre-large hole boring blasting is applied to the area within 15 meters apart from existing tunnel. And above 15 meters apart, pre-large hole boring blasting is designed.

맞벌이 주말부부의 생활시간 분석 (Time Use Survey of Dual-Career Commuting Couples)

  • In this study, I analyzed dual-career commuting couples time use. Concretely, this study compared the husband with the wife on the becoming a commuter family, the living apart on weekdays. And it examined time use on weekdays and weekends by the time amount of each activities and the ratio of actor on each hour. The survey participants included 131 married people who were dual-career commuting couple and who were maintained separate residence and work place. The major findings are as follows: First, weekday separation of the dual-career commuting couples is largely due to career. This kind separation is mostly due to sociostructural labor market factor and individual factor to increasing working women. Second, 94.6%(53) of male participants were resident living apart from their family on weekdays. Third, the most wives mentioned some kind of emotional liberation such as freedom on weekdays. Finally, there was gender difference in the time spent on each activities when dual-career commuting couples are living together and they are apart. Especially the most gender difference on weekdays is household work time and leisure time.

Morphologic Analysis of Water-Cooled Bipolar Radiofrequency lesions on Egg White in Vitro

  • Background: The aim of this study was to document the optimal spacing of two cannulae to form continuous strip lesions and maximal surface area by using water-cooled bipolar radiofrequency technology. Methods: Two water-cooled needle probes (15 cm length, 18-gauge probe with 6 mm electrode tip) were placed in a parallel position 10, 20, 24, 26, and 28 mm apart and submerged in egg white. Temperatures of the probes were raised from $35^{\circ}C$ to $90^{\circ}C$ and the progress of lesion formation was photographed every 1 minute with the increase of the tip temperature. Approximately 30 photographs were taken. The resultant surface areas of the lesions were measured with the digital image program. Results: Continuous strip lesions were formed when the cannulae were spaced 24 mm or less apart; monopolar lesions around each cannula resulted if they were spaced more than 26 mm apart. Maximal surface areas through the formation of continuous strip lesion were 221 $mm^2$, 375 $mm^2$, and 476 $mm^2$ in 10, 20, and 24 mm, respectively. Summations of maximal surface area of each monopolar lesions were 394 $mm^2$ and 103 $mm^2$ in 26 and 28 mm, respectively. Conclusions: Water-cooled bipolar Radiofrequency technology creates continuous "strip" lesions proportional in size to the distance between the probes till the distance between cannulae is 24 mm or less. Spacing the cannulae 24 mm apart and treating about $80^{\circ}C$ for 24 minutes maximizes the surface area of the lesion.
