항암제 안전관리의 지식과 수행에 대한 항암제 안전관리지침 교육의 적용 효과 (The Effects of Safe Handling Education of Antineoplastic Drug on Knowledge and Performance of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of safe handling education of antineoplastic drug on knowledge and performance of clinical nurses. Methods: This was a nonequivalent control-group pretest-posttest study. A total of 49 nurses (25 for the experimental group and 24 for the control group) who dealt with antineoplastic drug within the previous 1 week participated in the study. The guidelines for safe handling of antineoplastic drugs and antineoplastic drugs side effects were provided to the experimental groups whereas only antineoplastic drugs side effects was given to the control groups. Knowledge and performance in reference to antineoplastic drug handling were measured before and 8-week after interventions. Results: The knowledge scores between the pretest and posttest were not statistically significant in both groups. However, the performance scores in the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group. Conclusion: The given education of safe handling of antineoplastic drugs had an effect on improving clinical nurses' performance. Thus this education could be routinely administered in practice for those who deal with antineoplastic drugs in their everyday practice.

  • A new series of substituted phenazone derivatives has been prepared through a series of reactions that are illustrated in Scheme I. The antibacterial and antineoplastic activities of the prepared compounds were evaluated. While none of the synthesized products showed marked antibacterial activity, all of them possessed a significant antitumor effect.

  • Seven ${\beta}$-substituted-2,4-dihydroxy-5-nitropropiophenones were synthesized as potential antineoplastic agents, and subjected to the screening test of survival effect and cell decrease effect. Of the sunthesized compounds, ${\beta}$-(1-methyl-1-hydroxymlethy) ethylamino-2, 4-dihydrocy-5-nitropropiophenone and ${\beta}$(1,1-dihydorxymethyl) ethylamino-2,4-dihydroxy-5-dihyropropiophenone and ${\beta}$-(1,1-dihydroxymethyl) propylamino-2,4-dihydroxy-5-nitropropiophenone were found to be active against both Ehrlich ascites carcinoma and Sarcoma 180.

  • Antineoplastic activity against human gastric and colon carcinoma cell lines was measured in 100 extracts from 90 plants using MTT (3-[4,5-dimethyl thiazo-2-yl]-2, 5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) method. Four extracts from four plants have been reported to have antineoplastic effect. Extracts from remaining 86 plants failed to show significant cytotoxic effect at the concentration of less than $230\;{\mu}/ml$.

  • Antineoplastic activity against human gastric, colon and hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines were measured in 100 extracts from 80 medicinal plants using MTT (3-[4, 5-dimethyl thiazol-2-yl]-2, 5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) method. Seventeen extracts from fourteen plants, all of which have previously been reported to have antineoplastic effect, had $IC_{50}$(50% inhibitory concentration) values of less than $230{\;}{\mu}g/ml$ in at least one of the three cell lines. Extracts from remaining sixty-six medicinal plants failed to show significant cytotoxic effect at the concentration of less than $230{\;}{\mu}g/ml$.

수종의 작물에 대한 세포독성효과 (Cytotoxic Effect of Variable Crops)

  • 식용 및 약용작물중에서 암세포에 대하여 생체세포독성을 유발하는 소재를 선발하기 위하여 한국인종양에서 유래한 대장암세포주(SNU-C4)와 위아세포주(SNU-1)에 대해 MTT검색법으로 50% 세포성장저해농도($IC_{50}$)를 측정한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 암세포에 대해 생체세포독성활성을 가지는 작물을 선발하기 위하여 17종의 작물을 대상으로 검색한 결과 보리, 옥수수, 오미자에서 세포독성효과가 $230{\mu}g/ml$이하의 농도로 유의한 효과를 나타내었다. 2. 품종간의 세포독성효과의 차이를 검색하기 위하여 세포독성효과를 나타낸 작물중에서는 보리와 옥수수를, 세포독성효과를 미약하게 나타내거나 나타내지 않은 작물중에서는 벼와 귀리를 대상으로 품종별로 검색한 결과, 세포독성의 유무는 1차 검색과 동일한 경향이 나타났으나, 벼에서는 품종에 따라 현저하게 세포독성의 차이를 나타내었으며, 특이할만한 점은 유색미인 흑도에서 다른 품종에 비하여 50% 세포성장저해농도가 유의하게 낮게 나타났다.

  • Antineoplastic activity against human gastric and colon carcinoma cell lines was tested in eighty-three species of Korean plants including Korean medicinal plants which have been frequently used in oriental herb prescriptions. The plant materials were extracted with methanol and the cytotoxic activity was tested using a calorimetric tetrazolium assay (MTT assay). Twenty-six plant extracts against gastric carcinoma cell line, eighteen extracts against colon carcinoma cell line and fourteen plant extracts against both carcinoma cell lines showed antineoplastic activity at the concentration of less than $100{\mu}g/ml$. The effective components from four species have been isolated and reported.

  • 국내에서 종실용 amaranth의 이용 가능성을 조사하기 위한 목적으로 종실에서 squalene을 분리, 동정하였고, squalene 추출후 부산물의 활용방안으로 그 부산물의 항암활성검색을 한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. Amaranth 종실에서 추출, 분리한 squalene 함량은 0.43%이고, GC /Mass spectrum으로 확인한 결과 99%의 순도를 나타내었으며, 분자구조식은 잠정적으로 동물성 squalene과 동일한 것으로 나타났다. 2. MTT 방법을 이용한 인간의 위암, 대장암 세포주에 대한 항암활성효과를 검색한 결과 부산물의 조추출물은 230$\mu\textrm{g}$/m1보다 낮은 농도에서 유의한 항암효과를 보였다.
