호료와 매염제가 황벽추출물로 날염한 면/견직물의 날염성질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Thickener and Mordants on the Printing Properties of Cotton and Silk Fabrics Printed with Phellodendron Amurense Extract)

  • In this study, the dyeing properties of Phellodendron amurense on cotton and silk fabrics were evaluated to establish a scientific database of dyeing methods using natural dyes with the ultimate aim of facilitating the practical use of these dyes. The optimal thickener and dyeing concentrations depending on the thickener type were identified when dyeing with P. amurense, and the fabric color, color fastness, and antibiosis were examined for various thickeners, fabrics, and mordants. The results were as follows.: The optimal concentrations of thickeners when dyeing on cotton and silk fabrics were CMC 3% (w/w), Mayprogum 7% (w/w), and Indalka 9% (w/w). The optimal concentration of P. amurense was 25% (w/w), irrespective of the type of thickener. To maintain the hue unique to P. amurense, thickening with Mayprogum or Indalka and mordanting with Al was effective for cotton, while thickening with Mayprogum or Indalka and mordanting with Al or thickening with CMC and mordanting with gallnut was effective for silk. The dry-cleaning fastness and abrasion resistance of cotton fabrics dyed with P. amurense were excellent at the 4-5 level. Gallnut was effective for washing fastness and perspiration fastness against color degradation, and FFC was effective for light fastness. The washing fastness, dry-cleaning fastness, abrasion resistance, and perspiration fastness of silk fabrics dyed with P. amurense were excellent at level 4, except for washing and perspiration fastness, and FFC was effective for the improvement of light fastness. Dyeing cotton and silk fabrics with P. amurense thus yielded antibiosis and excellent washing fastness.

석류 추출액을 이용한 염색직물의 항균성 및 소취성 (The Antibacterial Activity and Deodorization of Textiles Dyed with Pomegranate Extract)

  • The study that has been conducted is the consideration of the durability of dye, antibacterial activity, and deodorizing effects of cotton and silk textiles dyed with a botanical dying material that has been used in various ways over the years as Korean diet and folk remedies, the pomegranate. 1. The results of the K/S value of dying according to the types of mordants of textiles dyed with pomegranate extract the following have been discovered: The increase of K/S value of dying of the silk textiles appear to be higher than that of the cotton textiles. Next, silk textiles that have been treated with FeSO$_4$.7$H_2O$ appear to be at the highest. 2. The results of the color change measurement show a difference of color can be noticed according to the types of mordant. As opposed to those textiles that had been only scured textiles, all of the dyed textiles appeared to turn yellow. 3. Textiles that had been treated with $K_2$Cr$_2$O(sub)7 recorded the highest durability according to the colorfastness to light results. In the case of the cotton textiles colorfastness to washing, all appeared to show exceptional results of 3rd class or higher, excluding the textiles that had been treated FeSO$_4$.7$H_2O$. However silk textiles recorded relatively low classes of below 3rd to 4th class. For the colorfastness to washing of pollution, the results for both the cotton and silk textiles were excellent at class 4-5. The results of colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to rubbing, and colorfastness to dry cleaning showed comparatively exceptional results of 3rd to 4th class or higher when it came to dyed textiles. 4. According to the measurements of antibiosis, dyed textiles that had been treated with SnCl$_2$.2$H_2O$ appeared to show an exceptional bacterium decrease of approximately 70%. 5. According to the deodorizing measurements, dyed silk textiles appeared to have a higher deodorizing effect than cotton textiles. As for cotton textiles, those that had been treated with FeSO$_4$.7$H_2O$ and in the case of dyed silk textiles those that had been treated SnCl$_2$.2$H_2O$ recorded the highest deodorizing effect.

$TiO_2$/PEG처리 면직물의 특성 (Properties of cotton fabric treated with $TiO_2$/PEG)

  • Cotton fabric was treated with TiO$_2$-PEG600 mixed solution by pad-dry-cure and wet-fixation process to improve the performance properties as well as antibiosis effect and its laundering durability. In this paper, the effects of concentration of $TiO_2/PEG$ and fixation process were investigated on laundering durability and properties of cotton fabric treated with glyoxal. As the concentration of $TiO_2/PEG$ increased fixation, W.I., K/S of treated cotton fabric increased. Application of wet-fixation method provided a further improvement in fixation, laundering durability of treated cotton fabric.

Bacillus subtilis C4와 B. cereus D8에 의한 유채의 생육증대 및 무름병과 균핵병 방제효과 (Effect of Bacillus subtilis C4 and B. cereus D8 on Plant Growth of Canola and Controlling Activity Against Soft Rot and Stem Rot)

  • 선발된 PGPR 균주인 Bacillus subtilis C4와 Bacillus cereus D8 균주의 유채에 대한 생육촉진 및 무름병균인 Erwinia carotovora와 균핵병균인 Sclerotinia sclerotiorum에 대한 방제효과를 검정하기 위하여 실내검정과 온실검정을 실시하였다. 실내검정 결과, C4와 D8균주처리에 의하여 유채의 생육이 40.3%~74% 증가하였으며 무름병이 대조구에 비하여 80% 감소하였다. 실내검정에서 C4와 D8균주를 종자에 처리하였을 때 뿌리가 크게 신장되었다. 주요 식물병원균 Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Rhizoctonia solani, Botrytis cinerea, Fusarium oxysporum, Phytophthora capsici, Colletotrichum acutatum에 대하여 항균활성시험을 수행한 결과 두 균주 중 C4균주는 모든 병원성 곰팡이에 대하여 항균활성을 나타내었다. 온실검정에서 C4와D8균주처리는 대조구에 비하여 유채의 초장, 엽폭 및 엽장을 19.5%~24.9%, 11.3%~15.3%, 14.1%~20.7% 각각 증가시켰으며 균핵병균인 Sclerotinia sclerotiorum에 대한 억제효과가 우수하였다. 이와 같은 결과를 볼 때 C4, D8 균주 처리는 유채의 생육을 촉진시키며 유채에 저항성을 유도하므로 친환경생물방제에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

치자 추출물이 돈육 패티의 아질산염 잔류량과 저장성에 미치는 영향 (Residual Nitrite Content and Storage Properties of Pork Patties Added with Gardenia Fructus Extract)

  • 예로부터 옷감의 염료 및 식용색소로 사용되어 온 치자는 혈당 저하, 항 종양, 항 혈전, 혈관신생 억제, 항산화, 항균 등 다양한 생리활성이 있는 것으로 보고되고 있으나 치자의 아질산염 소거 작용이나 육제품에의 이용에 관한 연구는 미비하다. 본 연구에서는 치자의 아질산염 대체 효과와 항균활성 등 기능성을 살펴보아 치자의 다양한 생리 기능성이 부여된 건강 지향적 육제품 개발의 기초자료로 활용하고자 아질산염(50, 100, 150 ppm)과 치자 추출물(0, 0.25, 0.5%)의 첨가량에 따른 돈육 패티의 물리 화학적 품질특성을 평가하고 아질산염 잔류량과 저장성을 살펴보았다. 패티의 색도를 측정한 결과 치자 추출물의 첨가에 따라 명도(CIE $L^*$)와 적색도(CIE $a^*$)가 감소되는 반면 황색도(CIE $b^*$)가 증가하였다. 돈육 패티를 가열한 결과 치자추출물이 첨가되지 않은 control 군에서는 아질산 첨가량이 많을수록 가열감량이 작았으나, 치자 추출물 첨가에 의한 가열감량의 변화는 명확히 관찰되지 않았다. $4^{\circ}C$에서 6주간 저장 후 패티의 pH, TBARS 및 VBN을 살펴본 결과 치자 추출물 첨가량이 많을수록 pH가 낮은 경향이었으나, TBARS와 VBN은 변화가 없었다. 돈육 패티의 아질산염 잔류량은 저장기간이 길어짐에 따라 점차 감소하였으며, 치자 추출물 첨가량이 많을수록 잔류량이 낮았다. 저장 중 미생물 오염을 살펴본 결과 대장균은 검출되지 않았으며, 일반세균은 치자 추출물 첨가에 따라 감소하여 항균 작용을 위한 아질산염 사용의 대체효과를 보였다. 이상의 결과를 보면 돈육 패티 제조 시 치자 추출물의 첨가는 아질산염 잔류량을 감소시킴과 함께 저장시 항균성을 증가시켜 건강 향상 기능성 천연 소재로서 치자의 이용 가능성을 시사한다.

항균성 식품을 이용한 간편섭취 농산물 미생물오염의 감소 및 분자생물학적 분석 (Bacterial Contamination Reduction of Minimally Processed Agricultural Products using Antibacterial Foods and Molecular Biological Analysis)

  • 가열하지 않은 간편섭취 농산물의 섭취를 통한 세균 감염의 가능성을 줄이고자, 가정에서 쉽게 구할 수 있고 잔류에 대한 염려가 없는 천연 항균성 식품을 이용하여 세척할 경우, 물 세척에 비해 세균의 감소효과가 있는지 확인하고자 하였다. 여러 가지 항균성 식품성분 중 마늘의 allicin, 생강의 gingerol, 녹차의 catechin, 계피의 cinnamic aldehyde, 고추냉이의 allyl isothiocyanate의 단계별 희석액으로 세척한 후, 단순 물 세척의 세척효과와 비교한 결과, 단순 물 세척에 비하여 세균 감소의 효과가 큰 것으로 통계적으로 확인되었다. 간편섭취 농산물에서 검출된 Bacillus cereus 오염의 유래 및 연관성을 확인하고자 유전적 상관성을 분석해 본 결과 유사도가 매우 높은 균주들이 많이 검출되었다. 이 사실을 통해 간편섭취 농산물의 생산, 가공, 포장, 유통 등의 과정에서 공통적인 요인에 의한 지속적인 오염의 가능성 및 소비자의 감염 가능성을 파악할 수 있었으며, 감염을 예방하기 위한 사전적이고 체계적인 관리가 필요함을 확인하였다.

High Performance Materials for Ophthalmic Hydrogel Lens Containing Nanoparticles

  • The optical and physical and characteristics of hydrogel ophthalmic lens polymerized with addition of 2,6-difluoropyridine, SiPc(silicon 2,9,16,23-tetra-tert-butyl-29H31H-phthalocyanine dihydroxide) and nanodiamond in the basic hydrogel material were evaluated. In particular, the utility of 2,6-difluoropyridine, SiPc and nanodiamond as a hydrogel ophthalmic lens material was investigated. 2,6-difluoropyridine, SiPc and nanodiamond were used as additives. And also, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, acrylic acid, methyl methacrylate and a cross-linker EGDMA were copolymerized in the presence of AIBN as an initiator. The refractive index of 1.4348~1.4361, water content of 33.30~34.02%, UV-B transmittance of 4.77~67.50%, UV-A transmittance of 1.45~89.19% and visible transmittance of 32.12~92.21% were obtained. The results of hydrogel lens containing 2,6-difluoropyridine (add 5%) showed antibiosis for staphylococcus aureus. The produced copolymer is suitable for hydrogel soft ophthalmic lenses with antibiotic and anti-UV effect.

축육 소시지에 첨가한 키토산의 항산화 효과 (Antioxidative Effects of Chitosan Meat Sausage)

  • 키토산은 오징어 내장유를 이용한 oil emulsion 중에서 분자량이 높을수록 항산화 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 또한 키토산을 다량의 지방이 포함된 축유 소시지에 첨가하여 $10^{\circ}C$ 저장하면서 항산화 효과를 측정한 결과, 키토산을 분자량별로 0.20% 첨가하고 아질산염을 150 ppm 첨가하였을 경우와 아질산염을 15 ppm 첨가하였을 경우 모두 키토산의 분자량이 높을수록 항산화 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 어떤 분자량의 키토산에 있어서도 첨가량이 증가할수록 항산화 효과는 크게 나타났다. 키토산의 전자공여능은 분자량이 크고 농도가 높아질수록 큰 것으로 나타났다. 본 실험의 결과 키토산의 항산화 효과는 분자량이 클수록 첨가량이 많을수록 우수하며, 특히 가열 처리시에 효과가 크게 나타났다. 그러나 키토산의 항산화 효과는 단독으로 항산화제로 사용하기에는 미흡하여 소시지와 같은 지방이 포함된 식품에 있어 다른 항산화제와 더불어 키토산을 첨가하면 어느 정도 보존성 및 산화방지에 큰 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Biological Control of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum Using Indigenous Chitinolytic Actinomycetes in Jordan

  • The white cottony stem rot pathogen Sclerotinia scierotiorum was subjected to 70 different isolates of actinomycetes indigenous to Jordan as biological control agents. Forty of them demonstrated chitinase activity on crab shell chitin agay (CCA) media and they were segregated into three groups: 14 highly active, 12 moderately active, and 14 with low activity, with average clearing zones of (4.7-8.3), (3.7-4.3), and (2.3-3.3) mm surrounding colonies on CCA, respectively. Further, these isolates were able to inhibit radial mycelium growth of the pathogen and were categorized into three antagonistic groups: 13 strong, 13 moderate, and 14 weak antagonists, with antibiosis inhibition Bones of (32.0-45.7), (22.7-31.3), and (3.7-22.3) mm, respectively. High levels of chitinase activity of the isolates Ma3 (8.3 mm), Jul (7.7 mm), and Sa8 (7.7 mm) with their antagonistic activity against mycelium growth of 45.7, 44.3, and 40.7 mm were observed, respectively. These isolates exhibited fungicidal activity against sclevotia of S. sclerotiorum. On the other hand, isolates Na5, Aj3, and Aj2 that produced no chitinase showed fungistatic effect only.

송기가래떡의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Songgi Garaetteok)

  • We conducted comparative analysis on the quality characteristics five different classes of the Songgi (Pine inner bark) Garaetteok with different pine inner bark 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%, and 4%, respectively. The experiment results show that color values of the Songgi Garaetteok pine inner bark powder, the L value highest in control group 72.91 while a value was highest in 4% group. As a result of measurements for three days, the moist content for control group and 1% group 48.89 and 51.65, respectively two hours production. On day 1, the moist content of all samples peaked. Harness peaked in control group 954.13, followed by 4% group. The DPPH radical scavenging ability of pine inner bark powder and the Songgi Garaetteok containing 4% pine inner bark highest at 11.61% and 7.14%, respectively. In evaluating antibiosis, the Songgi Garaetteok containing 4% pine inner bark the highest level of antibacterial activity. In sensory evaluation, the Songgi Garaetteok containing 2% pine inner bark received the highest score color, flavor, texture, taste and overall preference. The experiment that the Songgi Garaetteok pine inner bark powder has better antioxidative effect regular Songgi Garaetteok. Therefore, the Songgi Garaetteok 2% pine inner bark powder the most desirable of the Songgi Garaetteok containing pine inner bark.
