This paper is intended to verify the efficiency of anti-freeze agent and insulating form by analyzing the temperature history and the property of strength-increase about the concrete that is placed in the insulating form and normal form, using new type anti-freeze agent in batcher plant According to the results about the temperature history, while the lowest temperature shows 3$^{\circ}C$ in case of normal concrete + euroform, 4$^{\circ}C$ in case of normal concrete + insulating form, it shows 6$^{\circ}C$ in anti-freeze agent + the insulating form, so the effect is most favorable. The compressive strength with mixing anti-freeze agent or not, shows high in order of standard curing, structure-managing and open air-placed specimen and the concrete mixing anti-freeze agent shows the highest compressive strength-increase.
The aim of this study was to gain information on the effects of the crystal form of corticosteroids on the topical anti-inflammatory activity. Two different crystal forms, Form A and Form B, of the drugs of prednicarbate, hydrocortisone, betamethasone 17-valerate, prednisolone, and methyl prednisolone were prepared and their topical anti-inflammatory activities were measured using arachidonic acid induced ear edema assay in mice. Two crystal forms of the drugs showed differences in anti-inflammatory activity. Among the drugs examined, Form B of prednicarbate and betamethasone 17-valerate showed significantly more potent anti-inflammatory activities as compared to their Form A.
In order to examine the influence of Anti-form in contemporary fashion focusing on 'signs of time', which illustrates the zeitgeist effects art and fashion, this study investigates both Anti-form movement in art of 1960s and 1970s and the fashion designs since 1970s when the signs of the influence of Anti-form in fashion began to appear. This was done by conducting literary survey as well as case analysis. Anti-form values the process and signs of time in that it visualizes the time and the process of making artworks. The emphasis on signs of time in Anti-form is observed in postmodernism fashion. Visualization of manufacturing process, visualization of signs of wearing, and continuation of wearing experience are all influences of the Anti-form in fashion. Visualization of manufacturing process exposes the techniques and the materials involved in garment construction such as linings, inside-out seams, interlinings, and unraveled hems, as well as the use of muslin, which is used in making garment prototypes. Signs of wearing is articulated in wrinkles caused by wearing, sings of alteration, reappeared designs of the past collections, reuse of vintage fabrics or garments, and the fabrics which assumes aged appearance. Continuous experience of a wearer is indicated in that the garment shape is not predetermined but changes continuously by the wearer's body shape and movement, which generates new and relative silhouettes continuously.
Using the premise that fashion and art reflects the characteristics of its times, this study examines the influence of Anti-form in fashion with a focus on physicality. This study combines literary survey and case analysis of both Anti-form in 1960s and 1970s and the fashion collections since 1970s when the influence of Anti-form began to appear in fashion. The influence of Anti-form focusing on physicality is summarized as deconstruction of garment and visualization of the physicality of material. Deconstruction of garment visualizes the invisible structures of garment by deconstructing, restructuring, and deforming the construction and the shapes of the garment, which is illustrated by visualization of design process, overlapping and fusing of materials, loss of stitches, and use of fabrics with flaws, questioning and destroying the sartorial conventions and aesthetic standards. Visualization of the physicality of material exposes the imperfect inside of garment which is concealed conventionally by presenting unfinished garments with minimized sewing procedure, crumpling and flattening fabrics, rubbing and fading surfaces, pulling threads, as well as using the selvages of fabrics.
In this paper, insulating effects and strength development of concrete placed at mock up model structure are discussed using anti freezing agent and insulating forms. According to test results, concrete containing 8% of anti freezing agent shows lower freezing temperature, earlier setting time and higher strength development than plain concrete. As for the temperature history of mock up structures, when plain concrete is placed at euro form, the temperature drops to -4${\circ}$ before early 24 hours, and when concrete containing anti freeze agent at euro form, it to -3${\circ}$ before early 24 hours. Nevertheless, when concrete containing anti freeze agent is placed at insulating form, it does not go below zero, and the concrete containing anti freeze agent enhances higher strength development.
Hull form development and Anti-rolling tank of G/T 360ton class fishery patrol ship was carried out in the CWC at Chosun university, cooperatively with WJFEL(The West Japan Fluid Engineering Laboratory). Same size of 15 knots class fishery patrol ship was selected as a parent form(Model number: CU-015), and modified fore and after body hull form under the slightly lengthened to be suitable for the operation at 20 knots. This paper investigated for a rolling performance and an effective using method when fishery patrol ship was equipped with anti-rolling tank. On several occasions of rolling test was made reference to design data of a similar ship. Although the hull form was highly constrained in being limited to modification of a parent hull form, significant wave resistance improvement was made.
This study purposes on continuing experimental research of furniture form creation focused on the importance and necessity for a-formal concept for designers to drift away from general acknowledgement and practice routine to design more radical forms for meeting various needs of late industrialized society, which have not been satisfied with formal and universal designs. This study covers presenting new points of view on research for designers to look for different solutions to widen their consideration in the process of furniture form development and to set up academic data base with the case studies of designers in anti-construction concept to define their experimental challenges for new design form creation, on the basis of overall research on the effects and roles of a-formal approach in the furniture design form creation.
Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS), a rare form of thrombotic microangiopathy, is distinguished from the typical form by the absence of a preceding verotoxin-producing Escherichia coli infection. Notably, aHUS occurs in association with genetic or acquired disorders causing dysregulation of the alternative complement pathway. Patients with aHUS may show the presence of anti-complement factor H (CFH) autoantibodies. This acquired form of aHUS (antiCFH-aHUS) primarily affects children aged 9-13 years. We report a case of a 13-year-old Lao girl with clinical features of aHUS (most likely anti-CFH-aHUS). The initial presentation of the patient met the classical clinical triad of thrombotic microangiopathy (microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and acute kidney injury) without preceding diarrheal illness. Low serum levels of complement 3 and normal levels of complement 4 indicated abnormal activation of the alternative complement pathway. Plasma infusion and high-dose corticosteroid therapy resulted in improvement of the renal function and hematological profile, although the patient subsequently died of infectious complications. This is the first case report that describes aHUS (possibly anti-CFH-aHUS) in Laos.
The scaling laws for vibration response of anti-symmetrically laminated plates are derived by applying the similitude transformation to the governing differential equations directly. With this approach, a closed-form solution of the governing equations is not required. This is a significant advantage over the method employed by other researchers where similitude transformation is applied to the closed-form solution. The scaling laws are tested by comparing the similitude fundamental frequencies to the theoretical fundamental frequencies determined from the available closed-form solutions. In case of complete similitude, similitude solutions from the scaling laws exactly agree with the theoretical solutions. Sometimes, it may not be feasible to select the model which obeys the similarity requirement completely, therefore partial similitude is theoretically investigated and approximate scaling laws are recommended. The distorted models in stacking sequences and laminated material properties demonstrate reasonable accuracy. On the contrary, a model with distortion in fiber angle is not recommended. The derived scaling laws are very useful to determine the vibration response of complex prototypes by performing the experiment on a model with required similarities.
A thermally irreversible photochromic system, 2,3-bis(2,4,5-trimethyl-3-thienyl)maleic anhydride (MTMA), has been studied by semi-empirical molecular orbital methods. There are one pair of stable conformations for the closed-ring form and three pairs for the open-ring form, each pair consisting of two mirror-image conformations. Interconversion between the parallel and anti-parallel conformations of the open-ring form is restricted due to high energy barriers. Only the anti-parallel conformation appears to be responsible for photochromic cyclization. Thermostability of the compound is attributed to an avoided crossing at high energy in the ground states of the isomers, whereas the photoreactivity can be explained by the mutually connected excited singlet (S1) states of the isomers, forming a double well potential with a low energy barrier. The large solvent effects can be partly explained with the low dipole moment of the anti-parallel conformation of MTMA in the S1 state. The large variation of quantum efficiency suggests that excess vibronic energy can be utilized to provide the activation energy for the photochromic reaction.
