  • 본 연구에서는 Anodic Aluminum Oxide(AAO) 템플레이트 제조 시 알루미늄의 결정방위가 세공 형성에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 시료는 직경 20mm 두께 2mm의 세가지 단결정 시편을 사용 하였으며 이는 XRD 장비로 $2{\theta}$ 측정결과를 통해 확인 하였다. 양극 산화전 평활한 면을 얻기 위해 다이아몬드분말로 미세연마하였으며 양극산화는 세가지 시편 모두 동일한 조건에서 2단계공정까지 진행하여 반복 실험 하였다. 결과는 전계방출주사전자현미경(FE-SEM)으로 표면의 세공형태를 관찰 하였다.

Pore size effects of adhesion and friction for nanohoneycomb structures in AFM (원자현미경에서 나노허니컴 구조물의 홀 사이즈에 따른 점착 및 마찰 거동 분석)

  • This study analyzes the behavior of adhesion and friction according to the pore size of nanohoneycomb structures in atomic force microscope (AFM). Anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) films are fabricated as nanohoneycomb structures. According to the pore diameters of the nanohoneycomb structures, the adhesive forces and the frictional coefficients arc obtained in AFM, and the behaviors are analyzed in the view of the contact area between the sphere particle and nanohoneycomb substrate. The effective Young's moduli of the nanohoneycomb structures are measured from the nanoindentation tests, and the contact areas at zero applied load are calculated by combining the porosity of the nanohoneycomb structures and the contact radius determined from JKR and DMT theory.

The Study of Electrical and Structural Performance of Aluminum Thin Film Deposited by Sputtering Method (스퍼터링법에 의해 증착된 알루미늄 박막의 전기적·구조적 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we performed the deposition of Al thin film using a DC magnetron sputtering method. To evaluate electrical and structural properties, the growth conditions were changed in terms of two functions, namely, sputtering power ranging from 41.6 to 216 W and film growth rate ranging from 5.35 to 26.39 nm/min. The growth rate and the microstructure were characterized by a scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. The plane of crystalline growth showed that the preferential (111) direction and defects due to the grain boundary increased with DC power. The resistivity of the Al film over 50 nm showed a constant value by horizontal grain growth. Our results can be applicable for the preparation of nano-templates for anodic aluminum oxide.

  • In this paper, an experiment about humidity sensing properties of oxide aluminum films by Anodic oxidation method was made. The humidity sensing properties of films were investigated in the relative humidity range of 10∼85(%RH) , changing the frequency from 1[kHz] to 100[kHz]. The impedance of humidity sensing films were decreased in accordance with the increase of relative humidity. The decreasing rate of impedance were larger at low measuring frequency. The decreasing difference changes from 17.7M$\Omega$ to 3.68M$\Omega$ at low measuring frequency.

  • 반도체/디스플레이 산업분야의 발전으로 진공 공정 기술력 또한 증진되고 있다. 반도체소자의 초미세화, 진공부품의 대면적화가 진행 되면서 진공 공정 중에 발생하는 오염입자를 제어하는 것이 이슈가 되고 있다. 오염입자는 플라즈마의 물리적인 부식과 활성이 높은 화학반응에 의해 진공부품에서 부식이 진행되어 발생하며, 이는 반도체 및 디스플레이 부품의 신뢰성측면과 수율저하 등 life time의 근본적인 문제점으로 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 반도체/디스플레이 장비용 코팅부품으로 많이 사용되고 있는 Al2O3 코팅막을 이용하였으며, sealing time에 따른 Anodic Aluminum Oxide (AAO) electrode의 물성특성평가 및 진공평가기술을 이용하여 life time을 예측하는 연구를 수행하였다.

  • 양극산화를 통해 생기는 다공성 알루미나 산화막의 기공은 전해질과 적절한 온도 등 제작 조건에서 자기 조립하여 고도로 정렬된 (Highly ordered) 나노기공을 가지는 AAO (AnodicAluminum Oxide)를 제조하는데 주로 쓰이고 있다. 본 연구에서는 다단계 산화방법으로 빛의 파장에 무관하게 빛의 반사를 매우 효과적으로 줄이는 포물선 형태의 Moth-eye 구조를 가지는 템플릿을 제조하였다. SEM 측정을 통해 구조체 다공성 알루미늄 산화막의 표면적 변화를 알 수 있었고, 일정한 크기와 모양의 pore가 규칙적으로 형성된 것을 확인하였다. 그리고 제조된 템플릿 내부에 고분자를 채워 포물선 형태의 나노핀을 갖는 필름을 제조할 수 있었다.

  • The measurement of specific gases is based on the reversible conductivity change of sensing materials in semiconductor type gas sensors. For an application as gas sensors of high sensitivity, porous $SnO_2$ films have been fabricated by anodizing of pure Sn foil in oxalic acid and characteristics of anodic tin oxide films have been investigated. Pore diameter and distribution were dependent on process conditions such as electrolyte concentration, applied voltage, anodizing temperature, and time. Characteristics of anodic films were explained with current density-time curves.

Uniform Field Emission from Carbon Nanotubes Fabricated by CO Disproportionation

  • Field emission of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) fabricated by disproportionation of CO has been studied. CNTs fabricated on well-ordered Co nanowire arrays formed on the porous anodic aluminum oxide templates were well graphitized, uniform in diameter and aligned vertically with respect to the plane of the template, and showed a good field emission property. Very uniform emissions were observed from the CNTs fabricated at relatively low temperature, $500-600^{\circ}C$. Low fabrication temperature such as $500^{\circ}C$ could make it possible to fabricate CNTs on soda lime glass, a low-cost substrate, for display panel.

  • A possibility of manufacturing bendable ac-PDP using aluminum electrode with anodic aluminum oxide dielectric material system on PET film substrate was explored. For this structure, PET film with fence-structured aluminum electrodes was used for front plate and PET film with barrier ribs of UV curable resin for the rear plate. The results demonstrate that it is feasible to manufacture the bendable ac-PDPs using those material system and are expected to expand the applications of plasma display panels.

  • The mechanical properties of micro-hardness and internal stress of Ni-Fe alloy thin film made by electrodeposition method have been measured as a function of bath composition and current density. And also the microstructure of $200{\AA}$ Ni-Fi nanowires made using anodic aluminum oxide(AAO) templates by electrodeposition method have been observed by SEM as a function of ultrasonic treatment time and bath composition.
