이중관에서 홈형튜브가 압력강하에 미치는 효과 (Effects of the Groove Type Tubes on Friction Factors in the Annuli)

  • The present paper is to present the results of studied of pressure drop in annuli with corrugated and spirally fluted inner tubes for the turbulent flow regime. To understand the underlying physical phenomena responsible for heat transfer enhancement, flow mechanism documented elsewhere are combined with pressure drop measurements to confirm the friction factors obtained from the annuli with the grooved inner tubes for the Reynolds number of 1000 to 8000. Friction factors were found to be functions of trough depth, pitch and angle, and the annulus radius ratio. friction factor increases in the spirally fluted tubes were larger than those in the corrugated tubes.

Experimental Studies on Heat Transfer in the Annuli with Corrugated Inner Tubes

  • Experimental heat transfer data for single-phase water flow in the annuli with corrugated inner tubes are presented. In the annuli with parallel flow, ten different annular arrangements are considered. For water flow rate in 1,700${\gamma}$$\^$*/). As P/e becomes closer to 8 in the range below the radius ratio (${\gamma}$$\^$*/) of 0.5, Nusselt numbers increase. However, Nusselt numbers decrease in the range above the radius ratio (${\gamma}$$\^$*/) of 0.5 because flow reattachment position becomes farther in the narrower clearance.

Pool Boiling Heat Transfer in Annuli with Closed Bottom

  • Effects of gap sizes (3.9-44.3 mm) of vertical annuli on nucleate pool boiling heat transfer of water at atmospheric pressure have been obtained experimentally. Through the study, tubes of the closed bottom have been investigated and results are compared with those of a single unconfined tube. According to the results, the annular condition gives much increase in heat transfer coefficient at moderate heat fluxes. The increase is much enhanced 3s the gap size decreases. At the same tube wall superheat (about 3.1 K) the heat transfer coefficient for the least gap size (i.e., 3.9 mm) is more than three times greater than that of the unconfined tube. However, deterioration of heat transfer occurs at high heat flux for confined boiling.

회전수 및 자기장강도 변화에 따른 이중원관내 자성유체의 자연대류 열전달 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Natural Convective Heat Transfer Characteristics of Ferrofluid for Concentric Annuli under Rotating Magnetic Field)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 회전자기장에서 회전수 및 자기장강도 변화에 따른 이중원관내 자성유체의 자연대류 열전달 특성에 관하여 고찰하는 것이다. 회전자기장은 6극 3상 유도전동기를 사용하여 인가하였고, 인버터 드라이버와 전압변환기를 이용하여 회전수 및 자기장강도를 제어하였다. 실험에 사용된 경계조건으로 이중원관 내부원관은 $30^{\circ}C$로 유지하고 외부원관은 $25^{\circ}C$로 유지하였으며, 회전자기장은 반시계방향으로만 인가하여 실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과 이중원관내 자성유체의 자연대류 열전달 특성은 회전자기장의 회전수 및 자기장강도 증가에 따라 열확산이 증가하여 고온부과 저온부의 열교환이 활발히 이루어졌으며, 이중원관 내 자성유체의 열확산 방향은 인가자기장과 같은 방향인 반시계방향으로 진행되었다.

  • An experimental investigation was performed to study the characteristics of turbulent swirling flow in an axisymmetric annuli. The swirl angle measurements were performed by flow visualization technique using smoke and dye liquid. Using the Particle Image Velocimetry method, this study found the time-mean velocity distribution and turbulent intensity with swirl for Re = 20,000, 30,000, 50,000, and 70,000 along longitudinal sections and the results appear to be physically reasonable.

수직 환상관내 반류 공기-물 유동에서 직접분사방식에 따른 플러딩 시작점 특성 (Characteristics of the Onset of Flooding for Countercurrent Air-Water Flow in Vertical Annuli with a Direct Injection Mode)

  • An experimental work was conducted to investigate the characteristics of the onset of flooding in vertical annuli with a direct injection mode using air and water. The onset of flooding was determined by means of pressure drop measurement while the air velocity was increased gradually under fixed liquid flow rates. Data of the onset of flooding were collected for various combinations of the tube size and the nozzle number. A theoretical analysis of the onset of flooding was also performed based on an envelope theory. The result shows that the onset of flooding in small-scale annuli can be predicted relatively well by the theory. A modified Wallis parameter was used to investigate the scaling effect of flooding phenomena in the annuli, indicating a relatively reasonable result. The number of nozzle has no effect on the flooding velocity when liquid was injected through 2, 3, 4 and 6 nozzles but the initiation of flooding was significantly expedited when 12 nozzles were employed for liquid injection.

  • 본 논문은 Lee의 평행평판 채널내의 난류유동 모델을 사용하여 비대칭적 경계 를 갖는 이중관내 거칠기 표면위에서의 흐름을 취급하였다. 해석에서 표면거칠기는 속도 형상에 단지 국부적으로 영향을 미친다고 가정하여 한쪽 면에서만 사각형 거칠기 요소를 가진 평행관 사이의 유동에 관해 이미 얻은 실험 관계식을 이용하였다. 거칠 기의 합성효과는 압력손실 증가에 대한 열전달 증가에 대해 거친관과 매끈한 관의 경우를 비교한 값에 의하여 알수 있었다.그러므로, 전체적 효율측면에서 유리하게 열전달률을 증가시킬수 있는 이중관내의 바람직한 인공의 거칠기형태(P/.epsilon., S/.epsilon.,.alpha., etc.)를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • Effect of Convex Surface Curvature on the Onset of Nucleate Boiling of Subcooled Fluid Flow in Vertical Concentric Annuli An experimental study has been carried out to investigate the effect of the transverse convex surface curvature of core tubes on heat transfer in concentric annular tubes. Water is used as the working fluid. Three annuli having a different radius of the inner cores, Ri=3.18mm, 6.35mm, and 12.70mm with a fixed ratio of Ri/Ro=0.5 are used over a range of the Reynolds number between about 40,000 and 80,000. The inner cores are made of smooth stainless steel tubes and heated electrically to provide constant heat fluxes throughout the whole length of each test section. Experimental result shows that heat flux values on the onset of nucleate boiling of the smaller inner diameter model is much higher than that of the larger size test model.

  • 본 연구에서는 유한차분법을 사용하여 지배방정식의 수치해를 구하였으며, 특 히 유체와 고체 사이의 접촉면조건에서 correlation인자를 도입하여 K/$_{s}$/ $K_{f}$ 비가 큰 값에서는 수치해를 얻을 수가 있었다. 그리고 실험에서 여러가지 $K_{s}$/ $K_{f}$값에 대하여 온도를 측정하였으며, 여기서 계산치와 비교하면서 correlation인 자의 신뢰도를 조사하였다. 수평 이중 환상밀폐공간에서 유선 및 등온선을 여러가지 무차원 변수에 대하여 나타내었다. 등가 열전도도(equivalent conductivity)를 정의 하여 도입하고 $K_{s}$/ $K_{f}$값 중간 셸 두께, Prandtl 그리고 Rayleigh수에 대한 영향을 조사하여 이중 밀폐공간에서의 conjugate 자연대류 열전달특성을 연구하였다..였다..

원형동심관내 선회유동의 열전달에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Heat Transfer with Swirling Flow in a Cylindrical Annuli)

  • Experimental investigations were conducted to study the characteristics of turbulent swirling flow in an axisymmetric annuli. Swirl angle measurements were performed using a flow visualization technique using smoke and dye liquid for Re=60,00080,000. Using the two-dimensional particle image velocimetry method, we found the time-mean velocity distribution and turbulent intensities in water with swirl for Re=20,000, 30,000, and 40,000 along longitudinal sections. Neutral points occurred for equal axial velocity at y/(R-r)=0.70.75, and the highest axial velocity was recorded near y/(R-r)=0.9. Negative axial velocity was observed near the convex tube along X/(D-d)=3~23. Another experimental study was performed to investigate heat transfer characteristics of turbulent swirling flow in an axisymmetric annuli. Static pressure, and local flow temperature were measured using tangential inlet condition and the friction factors and Nusselt number were calculated for several Reynolds numbers.
