Assessment of Domestic Wind Potential by Analyzing Wind Data (풍속자료(風速資料) 분석(分析)에 의한 국내(國內) 풍력가용양(風力可用量) 산정(算定))

  • This paper is concerned with the characterized method of wind speed distribution for calculation of wind power density of regional group and wind potential in Korea. It is shown that the Rayleigh distribution, K = 2, is not suitable for analyzing wind data in Korea. Simple relationship, K = 0.21 V + 0.84, is derived from Weibull wind distribution by analyzing wind data obtained from 24 meteorological station and is a suitable tool for estimation of wind power density. Application of this result, the domestic ideal and actual wind potential are estimated as $3.16{\times}10^9$ KWH/year and $7.14{\times}$10^8 KWH/year respectively for the case of 10 meter height, $1m^2$ swept area and $0.1{\times}0.1Km^2$ land area. And for the case of 50 meter height, ideal and actual wind potential are increased as $7.56{\times}10^9$ KWH/year and $2.37{\times}10^9$ KWH/year respectively.

  • In this paper we study meaning and methods of analyzing problems related with equation of high school mathematics. By analyzing problem we can get two types of informations. Based on these informations we suggest some problem solving methods. Especially we try to extract second type information using analysis through synthesis. This second type information can help us to find new non-routine problem solving method.

  • It is very difficult to find optimal train operation plan when analyzing the economic investment using traditional railroad travel demand estimation method. Train operation plan depends on travel demand and vice versa. To solve this problem, this study suggests a demand estimation method to address an optimal train operation scheme with the modal spilt using initial train operation plan and trip assignment.

Comparison of the results by the Matrix method and the Coupled wave method in analyzing Bragg Reflector structures

  • We compare the reflectivity spectrum and phase change of Bragg reflectors obtained by the matrix method and the coupled wave method. We show that the results obtained by the two methods agree well generally and the discrepancy between the results obtained by the two methods increases as the fractional refractive index difference between adjacent layers increases and/or the absorption loss increases, due to the approximations inherent in the coupled wave method for the analysis of multiple dielectric layers.

  • A method for analyzing magnetic circuit in a capacitor-discharge impulse magnetizer established by the finite element method. As the detailed distribution of the flux can be obtained, the optimum design of the magnetizer will be possible using our method. The validity of the method is verified by comparing the calculated results with results measured.

  • This paper investigates the applicability of the modified Lanczos method using the power technique, which was developed in the field of quantum physics, to the eigenproblem in the field of engineering mechanics by introducing matrix-powered Lanczos recursion and numerically evaluating the suitable power value. The matrix-powered Lanczos method has better convergence and less operation count than the conventional Lanczos method. By analyzing four numerical examples, the effectiveness of the matrix-powered Lanczos method is verified and the appropriate matrix power is also recommended.

  • This study examines the color characteristics of the usage of the color pink in menswear by analyzing its usage status and method. It involves an empirical research method establishing the frame of the study through a document study centered on trend, gender neutral considerations, and the utilization of the color pink in men's fashion, by analyzing the characteristics of color and tone by extracting the pink color shown in menswear collections as well as analyzing and categorizing the fashion image and genderless characteristics. Analyzing the color and tone of the pink color shown indicate that bright, light and pale tones had higher proportions. Pink color can also be said to be utilized as a design element that gives off a younger and more vital color image in menswear. Further, the use of brighter and softer pink colors can be interpreted as reflecting modern society's demands of masculinity to change into a more sophisticated and soft image. To analyze the characteristics of the color pink utilized in gender neutral fashion, fashion images were presented as the analysis standard. An image grouping technique was used to classify pink while utilizing genderless types-fashion style. The result showed that even with the same pink color, the fashion image can vary with different methods of expression in terms of clothes and styling. The results of this study can serve as basic data for planning fashion design concepts as it analyzed pink-using fashion images and the genderless concept type.
