Bioequivalence of Atorva Tablet® to Lipitor Tablet® (Atorvastatin 20 mg) (리피토정® (아토르바스타틴 20 mg)에 대한 아토르바정®의 생물학적동등성)

  • The present study describes the evaluation of the bioequivalence of two atorvastatin tablets, Lipitor $Tablet^{(R)}$ (Pfizer, reference drug) and Atorva $Tablet^{(R)}$ (Yuhan, test drug), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). Forty-nine healthy male Korean volunteers received each medicine at the atorvastatin dose of 40 mg in a $2{\times}2$ crossover study with a two weeks washout interval. After drug administration, serial blood samples were collected at a specific time interval from 0-48 hours. The plasma atorvastatin concentrations were monitored by an high performance liquid chromatography -tandem mass spectrometer (LC-MS/MS) employing electrospray ionization technique and operating in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) and positive ion mode. The total chromatographic run time was 4.5 min and calibration curves were linear over the concentration range of 0.1-100 ng/mL for atorvastatin. The method was validated for selectivity, sensitivity, linearity, accuracy and precision. $AUC_t$ (the area under the plasma concentration-time curve from time zero to 48hr) was calculated by the linear log trapezoidal rule method. $C_{max}$ (maximum plasma drug concentration) and $T_{max}$ (time to reach $C_{max}$) were complied trom the plasma concentration-time data. Analysis of variance was carried out using logarithmically transformed $AUC_t$ and $C_{max}$. No significant sequence effect was found for all of the bioavailability parameters indicating that the crossover design was properly performed. The 90% confidence intervals of the $AUC_t$ ratio and the $C_{max}$ ratio for Atorva $Tablet^{(R)}$ / Lipitor $Tablet^{(R)}$ were ${\log}\;0.9413{\sim}{\log}\;1.0179$ and ${\log}\;0.831{\sim}{\log}\;1.0569$, respectively. These values were within the acceptable bioequivalence intervals of ${\log}\;0.8{\sim}{\log}\;1.25$. Based on these statistical considerations, it was concluded that the test drug, Atorva $Tablet^{(R)}$ was bioequivalent to the reference drug, Lipitor $Tablet^{(R)}$.

Numerical Analysis of the Hydraulic Characteristics of a Boundary Layer Streaming over Beach Cusps Surf-Zone Using LES and One Equation Dynamic Smagorinsky Turbulence Model (LES와 One Equation Dynamic Smagorinsky 난류모형을 이용한 Beach Cusps 쇄파역에서의 경계층 Streaming 수치해석)

  • In order to investigate the hydraulic characteristics of a boundary layer streaming over the beach cusps appeared in swells prevailing mild seas, we numerically simulated the shoaling process of Edge waves over the beach cusp. Synchronous Edge waves known to sustain the beach cusps could successfully be duplicated by generating two obliquely colliding Edge waves in front of beach cusps. The amplitude AB and length LB of Beach Cusp were elected to be 1.25 m and 18 m, respectively based on the measured data along the Mang-Bang beach. Numerical results show that boundary layer streaming was formed at every phase of shoaling process without exception, and the maximum boundary layer streaming was observed to occur at the crest of sand bar. In RUN 1 where the shortest waves were deployed, the maximum boundary layer streaming was observed to be around 0.32 m/s, which far exceeds the amplitude of free stream by two times. It is also noted that the maximum boundary layer streaming mentioned above greatly differs from the analytical solution by Longuet-Higgins (1957) based on wave Reynolds stress. In doing so, we also identify the recovery procedure of natural beaches in swells prevailing mild seas, which can be summarized such as: as the infra-gravity waves formed in swells by the resonance wave-wave interaction arrives near the breaking line, the sediments ascending near the free surface by the Phase II waves orbital motion were carried toward the pinnacle of foreshore by the shoreward flow commenced at the steep front of breaking waves, and were deposited near the pinnacle of foreshore due to the infiltration.

  • Space design in the 21st century has been developed in connection with media more various than ever. In the age of image represented by popular culture, space design connected with media is based on post-reason thoughts constituting the post-modern society, and reflects polysemously and pluralistically changes in the society through the identification of art with life. The movie, which is an image perceived particularly sensibly and the most impractical simulated image among various illusionary media images composing the contemporary society, is growing rapidly in interrelation with various fields of art based on its peculiar nature, and its influence is getting more extensive. The movie manipulates mass society to create what does not exist and restore lost images into new realities through the reproduction of extremely realistic senses, and uses them in establishing virtual realities and creating illusionary images representing the age of simularc. The illusionary expression of the movie produces new meanings through disintegrating existing meanings and recombining them, and expresses popular culture from a position closest to our everyday life. Such an analytical attitude toward the illusionary movie reflecting our society can be a new approach to space design. The present study attempts to suggest the possibility of applying such an illusionary characteristic of the movie as a methodology of space design by utilizing the characteristic as a conceptual language of space design.

Gas-Liquid Chromatographic Determination of Haloxyfop-R and lts Methyl Ester Residues in Soils and Soybeans (토양과 대두중 Haloxyfop-R 및 Haloxyfop-R-methyl의 기체크로마토그래피를 이용한 잔류분석)

  • An analytical method was developed to determine residues of haloxyfop-R and its methyl ester in soils and soybeans using gas-liquid chromatography (GLC) with electron capture detector (ECD). Soil or soybean sample was acidified and extracted with acetone. The extract was then subjected to ion-associated partition to individually separate haloxyfop-R and the neutral methyl ester. One phase containing haloxyfop-R was methylated with $BF_3$/methanol, partitioned to n-hexane and analyzed by GLC/ECD. The other phase containing the methyl ester was further purified by Florisil column chromatography prior to GLC determination. No cross contamination was found between two phases containing each of the acid and methyl ester, thus two compounds can be separately determined as the identical haloxyfop-R-methyl. Overall recoveries of haloxyfop-R from fortified samples averaged 88.2${\pm}$3.9% (n=12) and 88.3${\pm}$4.0% (n=6) for soils and soybeans respectively, and those of haloxyfop-R-methyl showed mean values of 89.2${\pm}$4.0% (n=12) and 85.6${\pm}$5.6% (n=6). Detection limits of both haloxyfop-R and its methyl esterwere 0.005㎎/㎏ and 0.01㎎/㎏ for soil and soybean samples respectively.

Dispersion Characteristics of Hydrogen Gas by the Effect of Leakage Hole Size in Enclosure Space (누출공 크기에 따른 밀폐공간 내 수소 가스의 확산 특성)

  • As a potential clean energy resource, the production and consumption of hydrogen gas are expected to gradually increase, so that hydrogen related studies are also increasing. The thermal and chemical properties of hydrogen result in its high flammability; in particular, there is a high risk if leaks occur within an enclosed space. In this study, we applied the computational fluid dynamics method to conduct a numerical study on the leakage behavior of hydrogen gas and compared these numerical study results with an experimental study. The leakage hole diameter was selected as an important parameter and the hydrogen gas dispersion behavior in an enclosed space was investigated through various analytical methods. Moreover, the flammable regions were investigated as a function of the leakage time and leakage hole size. We found that the growth rate of the flammable region increases rapidly with increasing leakage hole size. We also investigated the relation between the mass flow rate and the critical time when the hydrogen gas reaches the ceiling. The analysis of the monitoring points showed that the hydrogen gas dispersion behavior is isotropic and independent of the geometry. We found that the concentration of gas in an enclosed space is affected by both the leakage flow rate and amount of gas accumulated in the enclosure.

On the Evaluation of Physical Distribution Service in Ports (항만물류서비스의 평가에 관하여)

  • It is required to consider pricing and non-pricing factors and external economy in order to achieve the objects of physical distribution system in a port. Recently, among the three factors, much attention has been paid to non-pricing factor in the system. Although physical distribution service in a port(PDSP)has been frequently mentioned in documents and literature related to port and shipping studies, few study on it has not been systematically and scientifically made due to the following problems; $\circ$ there are not proper criteria to evaluate level and quality of PDSP and as a result it is difficult to set up a unified standard for doing so. $\circ$ algorithms to evaluate problems with complex and ambiguous attributes and multiple levels in PDSP are not available. This thesis aims to establish a paradigm to evaluate PDSP and to abvance existing decision making methods to deal with complex and ambiguous problems in PDSP. To tackle the first purpose, extensive and thorough literature survey was carried out on general physical distribution service, which is a corner stone to handle PDSp. In addition, through interviews and questionnaire to the expert, it have extracted 82 factors of physical distribution service in a port. They have been classified into 6 groups by KJ method and each group defined by the expert's advice as follows; a. Potentiality b. Exactness c. safety d. Speediness e. Convenience f. Linkage Prior to the service evaluation, many kinds of its attributes must be identified on the basis of rational decision owing to complexity and ambiguity inherent in PDSP. An analytical hierarchy process (AHP) is a method to evaluate them but it is not applicable to PDSP that have property of non-additivity and overlapped attributes. Therefore, probablility measure can not be used to evaluate PDSP but fuzzy measure is required. Hierarchical fuzzy integral method, which is merged AHP with fuzzy measure, is also not effective method to evaluate attributes because it has vary complicated way to calculate fuzzy measure identification coefficient of attributes. A new evaluation algorithm has been introduced to solve problems with multi-attribute and multi-level hierarchy, which is called hierarchy fuzzy process(HFP).Analysis on ambiguous aspects of PDSP under study which is not easy to be defined is prerequisite to evaluate it. HFP is different from algorithm existed in that it clarified the relationship between fuzzy measure and probability measure adopted in AHP and that it directly calculates the family of fuzzy measure from overlapping coefficient and probability measure to treat and evaluate ambiguous and complex aspects of PDSP. A new evaluation algorithm HFP was applied to evaluate level of physical distribution service in the biggest twenty container port in the world. The ranks of the ports are as follows; 1. A study on the improvement of work flow and productivity in complex manufacturing line by employing the effective process control methods (복잡한 생산라인에서 효율적 공정관리 기법 도입에 따른 공정흐름 및 생산성 개선 연구)

  • Due to the change from small volume production to small quantity batch production systems, individual companies have been attempting to produce a wide range of operating strategies, maximize their productivity, and minimize their WIP level by operating with the proper cycle time to defend their market share. In particular, using a complex workflow and process sequence in the manufacturing line has some drawbacks when it comes to designing the production strategy by applying analytical models, such as mathematical models and queueing theory. For this purpose, this paper uses three heuristic algorithms to solve the job release problem at the bottleneck workstation, product mix problem in multi-purpose machine(s), and batch size and sequence in batch machine(s). To verify the effectiveness of the proposed methods, a simulation analysis was performed. The experimental results demonstrated that the combined application of the proposed methods showed positive effects on the reduction of the cycle time and WIP level, and improvement of the throughput.

Analysis on the Flexural Behavior of Existing Reinforced Concrete Beam-Column Structures Infilled with U-Type Precast Wall Panel (U형 프리캐스트 콘크리트 벽패널로 채운 기존 철근 콘크리트 보-기둥 구조물의 휨 거동 분석)

  • This study aims at developing a new seismic resistant method by using precast concrete wall panels for existing low-rise, reinforced concrete beam-column buildings such as school buildings. Three quasi-static hysteresis loading tests were performed on one unreinforced beam-column specimen and two reinforced specimens with U-type precast wall panels. Seismic resistant test of anchored and welded steel plate connections manifested an average of 2.8 times increase in the maximum loading (average 591.8 kN) in comparison to unreinforced beam-column specimen. The maximum drift ratios were also shown between 1.4% and 2.7%. An analytical study was performed while assuming the RC column on the right side and the vertical element of the reinforced PC panel to behave in completely composite manner and the RC column on the left side and PC panel to behave in completely non-composite manner when loading was exerted from upper right end of RC frame of specimen to its left side. It was found with the assumptions that the overall flexural behavior in principle agreed with the experimental result.

  • According to globalization of world economy by extension of production, sales and distribution all around the world and international transportation system changed into a transport system that puts great importance on speediness and value-added services, international transport system is changing into a Multimodal Transport Routing centered system that systematically connects marine, air and rail transports. Due to such changes production, sales and distribution must be provided in time and Multimodal Transport Routing, which can provide multi-dimensional logistics services to customers of global network, is needed but information connection for international transport and connection system between transport modes are insufficient and can not be activated. Especially in Korea, selection standard of 3rd party logistics companies and transport companies is presented, but logistics exclusive companies, which plan and execute the transportation, can't present a systematic evaluation standard for international Multimodal Transport Routing, selection. Thus, this research surveys important previous studies about Multimodal Transport Routing, selection, derives an evaluation standard for Multimodal Transport Routing, selection through interview with company officials, and presents a theoretical basis for Multimodal Transport Routing, selection through systematic analysis of Multimodal Transport Routing, selection using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP).

Comparison of Delay Estimates for Signalized Intersection (신호교차로 지체 산정 비교)

  • In this paper, the primary objective of the research are to review the methods currently avaliable for estimating the delay incurred by vehicles at signalized intersections. The paper compares the delay estimates from a deterministic queueing model, a model based on shock wave theory , the steady-state Webster model, the queue-based models defined in the 1994 and 2001 version of the High way Capacity Manual, in addition to the delays estimated from the TRANSYT-7F macroscopic simulation and NETSIM microscopic simulation. More especially, this paper is to compare the delay estimates obtained using macroscopic and microscopic simulation tools against state-of-the practice analytical models that are derived from deterministic queueing and shock wave analysis theory. The results of the comparisons indicate that all delay models produce relatively similar results for signalized intersections with low traffic demand, but that increasing differences occur as the traffic demand approaches saturation. In particular, when the TRANSYT-7F and NETSIM are compared, it is highly differences as approach for traffic condition to over-saturation. Also, the NETSIM microscopic simulation is the lowest estimates among the various models.
