An embedded system is called a multi-mode embedded system if it performs multiple applications by dynamically reconfiguring the system functionality. Further, the embedded system is called a multi-mode multi-task embedded system if it additionally supports multiple tasks to be executed in a mode. In this Paper, we address a HW/SW partitioning problem, that is, HW/SW partitioning of multi-mode multi-task embedded applications with timing constraints of tasks. The objective of the optimization problem is to find a minimal total system cost of allocation/mapping of processing resources to functional modules in tasks together with a schedule that satisfies the timing constraints. The key success of solving the problem is closely related to the degree of the amount of utilization of the potential parallelism among the executions of modules. However, due to an inherently excessively large search space of the parallelism, and to make the task of schedulabilty analysis easy, the prior HW/SW partitioning methods have not been able to fully exploit the potential parallel execution of modules. To overcome the limitation, we propose a set of comprehensive HW/SW partitioning techniques which solve the three subproblems of the partitioning problem simultaneously: (1) allocation of processing resources, (2) mapping the processing resources to the modules in tasks, and (3) determining an execution schedule of modules. Specifically, based on a precise measurement on the parallel execution and schedulability of modules, we develop a stepwise refinement partitioning technique for single-mode multi-task applications. The proposed techniques is then extended to solve the HW/SW partitioning problem of multi-mode multi-task applications. From experiments with a set of real-life applications, it is shown that the proposed techniques are able to reduce the implementation cost by 19.0% and 17.0% for single- and multi-mode multi-task applications over that by the conventional method, respectively.
A transform-space index indexes objects represented as points in the transform space An advantage of a transform-space index is that optimization of join algorithms using these indexes becomes relatively simple. However, the disadvantage is that these algorithms cannot be applied to original-space indexes such as the R-tree. As a way of overcoming this disadvantages, the authors earlier proposed the transform-space view join algorithm that joins two original- space indexes in the transform space through the notion of the transform-space view. A transform-space view is a virtual transform-space index that allows us to perform join in the transform space using original-space indexes. In a transform-space view join algorithm, the order of accessing disk pages -for which various space filling curves could be used -makes a significant impact on the performance of joins. In this paper, we Propose a new space filling curve called the adaptive row major order (ARM order). The ARM order adaptively controls the order of accessing pages and significantly reduces the one-pass buffer size (the minimum buffer size required for guaranteeing one disk access per page) and the number of disk accesses for a given buffer size. Through analysis and experiments, we verify the excellence of the ARM order when used with the transform-space view join. The transform-space view join with the ARM order always outperforms existing ones in terms of both measures used: the one-pass buffer size and the number of disk accesses for a given buffer size. Compared to other conventional space filling curves used with the transform-space view join, it reduces the one-pass buffer size by up to 21.3 times and the number of disk accesses by up to $74.6\%$. In addition, compared to existing spatial join algorithms that use R-trees in the original space, it reduces the one-pass buffer size by up to 15.7 times and the number of disk accesses by up to $65.3\%$.
This experiment was conducted to determine correlation between in vitro protein fractions and in situ protein degradation rate with major dairy protein sources(soybean meal, corn gluten meal, cotton seed meal, kapok seed meal and perilla meal). Five protein fractions were obtained according to the Cornell Net Carbohydate and Protein System(CNCPS), and in situ protein degradation rates were determined by technique using nylon bags incubated for 0, 4, 8, 12 and 24hrs in the rumen of three Holstein steers. Fraction A was highest in kapok seed meal(14.6%) and lowest in corn gluten meal(0.6%) (P<0.05). The highest B1, B2 and B3 fractions were contained in soybean meal(8.27%), cotton seed meal(74%), and perilla meal(40%), respectively. Corn gluten meal was very high in fraction C. In situ protein degradation rate of soybean meal was 98%, highest among five protein sources, and corn gluten meal had the lowest rate at 28%. Correlation analysis showed that easily soluble fractions of both methods, in situ protein degradation rate and digestible protein fractions, and in situ protein degradation rate minus “a” and fraction B2+B3 were highly correlated. These results indicate that in vitro protein fractionation can be used in the estimation of in situ protein degradation.
This study was carried out to investigate actual vegetation, the structure of plant community, and ecological succession sere of coastal forest ecosystem in warm temperate climate zone, Taejongdae, Busan City, Korea to provide the basic data for planning of the forest management. As a result of analysis of actual vegetation, vegetation types divided into 35 types, and the area of survey site was $1,750,461m^2$. The ratio of vegetation type dominated by Pinus thunbergii was 80.7%, dominated by Quercus spp. was just 5.0%, and dominated by Carpinus tschonoskii was just 0.4%. Eighteen plots(size is $20m{\times}20m$) were set up and the results analyzed by DCA which is one of the ordination technique showed that the plant communities were divided into four groups which are community I(P. thunbergii community), community II(P. thunbergii-Quercus serrata community), community III(Q. serrata-P. thunbergii community), and community IV(Carpinus tschonoskii-P. thunbergii community). The age of community I was from 38 to 59 years old, that of community II was from 35 to 71 years old, that of community III was from 37 to 53 years old, that of community IV was from 50 to 72 years old, thus we supposed that the age of the study site is about from 38 to 72 years old. We supposed that the successional sere of the study site is in the early stage of ecological succession in the warm temperate climate zone. The dominant species will be changed from P. thunbergii to Q. serrata or Carpinus tschonoskii in the canopy layer, on the other hand, Eurya japonica will be dominant species in the understory layer, and E. japonica and Trachelospermum asiaticum var. intermediumwill be dominant species in the shrub layer for a while. According to the index of Shnnon's diversity(unit: $400m^2$), community I ranged from 0.8640 to 1.3986, community II was from 0.1731 to 1.1885, community III was from 0.8250 to 1.0042, and community IV was from 0.3436 to 0.6986.
Purpose : The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a significant correlation between vertebral marrow fat fraction measured using Dixon quantitative chemical shift MRI (QCSI) and BMD on dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA). Materials and Methods: This retrospective study included 68 healthy individuals [mean age, 50.7 years; range, 25-76; male/female (M/F) = 36/32] who underwent DXA of the L-spine and whole body MRI including QCSI of the L-spine and chemical shift MRI of the liver. The enrolled individuals were divided into subgroups according to sex and T-score [i.e., normal bone density (M/F=27/23) and osteopenia (M/F=9/9)]. Vertebral marrow (Dixon QCSI, TR/TE 10.2/4.8 ms) and hepatic fat fractions (chemical shift technique, TR/TE 110/4.9 and 2.2 ms) were calculated on MRI. We evaluated whether there were significant differences in age, body mass index (BMI), vertebral marrow fat fraction, or hepatic fat fraction among the subgroups. Whether or not the participant had reached menopause was also evaluated in females. The correlations among variables (i.e., age, BMI, vertebral marrow and hepatic fat fractions, BMD) were evaluated using Spearman's correlation method. Results: There were no significant differences in age, BMI, or vertebral marrow and hepatic fat fractions between the two male subgroups (normal bone density vs. osteopenia). In female subjects, mean age in the osteopenic subgroup was greater than that in the normal subgroup (p=0.01). Presence of menopause was more common in the osteopenic subgroup [77.8% (7/9)] than the normal subgroup [26.1% (6/23), p<0.05]. The other variables showed no significant difference between female subgroups. The only significant correlation with marrow fat fraction after partial correlation analysis was that with age in the female subjects (r=0.43, p<0.05). Conclusion: The vertebral marrow fat fraction calculated using the Dixon QCSI does not precisely reflect the mild decrease in BMD for either sex.
User authentication based on ID and PW has been widely used. As the Internet has become a growing part of people' lives, input times of ID/PW have been increased for a variety of services. People have already learned enough to perform the authentication procedure and have entered ID/PW while ones are unconscious. This is referred to as the adaptive unconscious, a set of mental processes incoming information and producing judgements and behaviors without our conscious awareness and within a second. Most people have joined up for various websites with a small number of IDs/PWs, because they relied on their memory for managing IDs/PWs. Human memory decays with the passing of time and knowledges in human memory tend to interfere with each other. For that reason, there is the potential for people to enter an invalid ID/PW. Therefore, these characteristics above mentioned regarding of user authentication with ID/PW can lead to human vulnerabilities: people use a few PWs for various websites, manage IDs/PWs depending on their memory, and enter ID/PW unconsciously. Based on the vulnerability of human factors, a variety of information leakage attacks such as phishing and pharming attacks have been increasing exponentially. In the past, information leakage attacks exploited vulnerabilities of hardware, operating system, software and so on. However, most of current attacks tend to exploit the vulnerabilities of the human factors. These attacks based on the vulnerability of the human factor are called social-engineering attacks. Recently, malicious social-engineering technique such as phishing and pharming attacks is one of the biggest security problems. Phishing is an attack of attempting to obtain valuable information such as ID/PW and pharming is an attack intended to steal personal data by redirecting a website's traffic to a fraudulent copy of a legitimate website. Screens of fraudulent copies used for both phishing and pharming attacks are almost identical to those of legitimate websites, and even the pharming can include the deceptive URL address. Therefore, without the supports of prevention and detection techniques such as vaccines and reputation system, it is difficult for users to determine intuitively whether the site is the phishing and pharming sites or legitimate site. The previous researches in terms of phishing and pharming attacks have mainly studied on technical solutions. In this paper, we focus on human behaviour when users are confronted by phishing and pharming attacks without knowing them. We conducted an attack experiment in order to find out how many IDs/PWs are leaked from pharming and phishing attack. We firstly configured the experimental settings in the same condition of phishing and pharming attacks and build a phishing site for the experiment. We then recruited 64 voluntary participants and asked them to log in our experimental site. For each participant, we conducted a questionnaire survey with regard to the experiment. Through the attack experiment and survey, we observed whether their password are leaked out when logging in the experimental phishing site, and how many different passwords are leaked among the total number of passwords of each participant. Consequently, we found out that most participants unconsciously logged in the site and the ID/PW management dependent on human memory caused the leakage of multiple passwords. The user should actively utilize repudiation systems and the service provider with online site should support prevention techniques that the user can intuitively determined whether the site is phishing.

To investigate factors determining peach fruit quality, chlorophyll content by leaf positions, chlorophyll content of foliated leaf, change of leaf area, and photosynthetic capacity were monitored. Photosynthetic rate in response to radiation intensity and $CO_2$ concentration, and change of sucrose content after shading treatment also were investigated. Chlorophyll content was similar in $5-12^{th}$ leaves after 10 days of foliation, while young $13-16^{th}$ leaves showed lower chlorophyll contents. Chlorophyll content was 2.56 ${\mu}g/cm^2$ on May $28^{th}$, just after foliation, and rapidly increased up to 6.35 ${\mu}g/cm^2$ on June $12^{th}$. After this point, chlorophyll content gradually increased during two months showing the highest value of 9.03 ${\mu}g/cm^2$ on August $14^{th}$. Leaf area was 27.1 $cm^2$ just after foliation and 37.7 $cm^2$ on $10^{th}$ day of foliation increasing 10.6 $cm^2$ during 10 days. Leaf area slowly increased by 3.9 $cm^2$ during next one month. Photosynthetic capacity increased rapidly until the $30^{th}$ day of foliation showing the highest capacity of 13.8 ${\mu}mol/m^{-2}/sec^{-1}$. After this point, photosynthetic capacity decreased sharply. Photosynthetic rate in response to radiation intensity increased rapidly until the PPFD reached to 600 ${\mu}mol/m^{-2}/sec^{-1}$ and increased gradually from 600 ${\mu}mol/m^{-2}/sec^{-1}$ to 1200 ${\mu}mol/m^{-2}/sec^{-1}$ of PPFD and stayed stable beyond this point. Photosynthetic rate in response to $CO_2$ concentration increased until 600 ppm of $CO_2$. At higher $CO_2$ concentration, photosynthetic rate stayed stable or decreased. Sucrose content in leaves was not significantly different between control and shading group until one hour of shading treatment while decreased in shading group after two hours of treatment.

Surface oxidation behavior of ZIRLO (ZIRconium Low Oxidation) hulls was investigated using an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) technique. The effects of oxidation time (10-336 h at $500^{\circ}C$) and temperature ($400-700^{\circ}C$ for 10 h) were studied. Deconvolution results of the hulls oxidized at $500^{\circ}C$ revealed that a $ZrO_2$ phase appeared after 24 h (11.86%), and an increase in the $ZrO_2$ ratio was observed when the hulls were oxidized for 336 h (17.93%). On the other hand, the ZrO phase which employed 5.68% in the 10 h oxidized sample disappeared when the oxidation time increased to 24 h. The XPS results also showed that an increase in the oxidation temperature resulted in an increase in the ratio of ZrO, which increased from 0 to 5.68, 8.31, and 9.16% when the oxidation temperature increased from 400 to 500, 600, and $700^{\circ}C$, respectively. $ZrO_2$ phase was observed only in the sample that was oxidized at $700^{\circ}C$. The mechanism of ZrO formation was not conclusive, but it was suggested that a formation of hydroxide might have been accelerated at elevated temperatures leading to a formation of a $Zr(OH)_4$ phase. The relationship between the surface oxidation status of the hulls oxidized at $500^{\circ}C$ and their chlorination reaction feasibility was discussed, and it was suggested that the thickness of the oxide layer is an important parameter that determines the chlorination reaction feasibility.

The aim of this study was to investigate which hydroponic system is the optimum for growth and photosynthetic characteristics of Angelica gigas during experiment. Angelica gigas 'Manchu' were sowed and managed under a growth room chamber. The environmental conditions (temperature $22^{\circ}C/18^{\circ}C$ (day/night), relative humidity 50-70%, photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) $120{\pm}6{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}s^{-1}$) were maintained for 3 weeks. Forty eight seedlings with 4-5 leaves were transplanted in deep flow technique (DFT), substrate, and spray culture systems [culture bed: 800 (L) ${\times}$ 800 (W) ${\times}$ 400 mm(H)] under $150{\pm}5{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}s^{-1}$ PPFD provided with fluorescence lamps and cultivated for 11 weeks. At the end of the experiment, fresh and dry weights, leaf lenghth and width, SPAD, root fresh, and dry weights, and root volume of Anglica gigas were measured. Photosynthetic rate of Anglica gigas were measured with portable photosynthesis systems to investigate optimum PPFD, $CO_2$ concentration, and air temperature conditions. Fresh and dry weights of Anglica gigas grown in substrate were significantly greater than DFT-treated, but there were not significant with spray treatment. Leaf photosynthesis of Anglica gigas showed the tendency to sharply increase as PPFD was increased from 50 to $200{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}s^{-1}$. Though $CO_2$ saturation point was around $1000-1200{\mu}mol\;mol^{-1}$, increase in air temperature from 16 to $26^{\circ}C$ did not quite affect photosynthesis of Anglica gigas. In conclusion, Anglica gigas may be optimally cultivated with a spray culture system as air temperature, PPFD, and $CO_2$ concentration for environment are controlled at $20{\pm}3^{\circ}C$, $150{\mu}mol\;m^{-2}s^{-1}$, and around $1000{\mu}mol\;mol^{-1}$ for mass production.
The quality characteristics of Takju were investigated according to the different rice varieties and mixing ratio of Nuruk for the advanced quality of Takju. The yeast was selected by alcohol-producing ability. Then a liquid starter was prepared using brewing fungi (Aspergillus luchuensis 34-1 and Lichtheimia ramosa CN042), and rice Nuruk was manufactured with two rice types (Chucheong and Hanareum). The quality characteristics of Takju were investigated based on the rice type and the mixing ratio of A. luchuensis 34-1 and Lich. ramosa CN042 (1:0, 0:1, 1:1, 1:3). S. cerevisiae Y268 showed an alcohol yield of $9.3{\pm}0.33%$ at a 0.3% concentration in the YPD broth medium, and the rice Nuruk with A. luchuensis 34-1, regardless of rice type, was confirmed to have a higher enzyme activity and physiochemical property than Lich. ramosa CN042. According to the quality analysis of Takju, the physiochemical property was increased for the fermentation period, and the acidity differed by type of fungi and rice. The quality of Takju was changed with the composition differences of organic acid and free amino acid by rice type and mixing ratio. As a result of the sensory evaluation of Takju, the preference for it was increased with the Hanareum and A. luchuensis 34-1, respectively. Thus, this study shows the possibilities for activating the industry of traditional liquor by improving the Nuruk and Takju manufacturing technique.
