It is important to understand thermal characteristic as a method to estimate the new materials, because spontaneous ignition characterized by causing combustion in the low temperature without ignition source. If can not find out the thermal characteristics of materials, it is frequent that causes of fires could not be found. The danger level of spontaneous ignition material should be estimated and by closely studying its thermal characteristic. However, RPF(Refuse Paper & Plastic Fuel) is a solid matter and getting increasesa year by year because it is an economy profit as alternative energy for limited fossil fuels. Some time RPF occur a fire in the cases of its production process and conservation. Therefore study for thermal stability and critical ignition temperature of RPF was so imperative that the experiment by means of Bombe Calorimeter, TG-DTA, MS80, SIT-II, and Wire Basket Test was implemented. As a result, RPF had a caloric value 26.4-28.3 MJ/kg, and its initial pyrolysis temperature was $192^{\circ}C$ at heating rate 2 K/min. With the result of analysis by MS 80 which is an instrument measuring microscopic calory, pure RPF not containing water has higher caloric value than RPF containing 20% water. Also, SIT-II which is an instrument of insulated auto-ignition was ignited by $118.5^{\circ}C$. This temperature is lower than that of Wire Basket Test. The critical ignition temperature was calculated by Frank-Kamenetskii equation can cause ignition at $80^{\circ}C$ when conserved in the height of 10 m by the standard of infinity slab.

The buffer is a key component of the engineered barrier system in a high-level radioactive waste (HLW) repository. The present study reviewed the requirements and functional criteria of the buffer reported in literature, and also based on the results, proposed an approach to establish a buffer concept which is applicable to an HLW repository in Korea. The hydraulic conductivity, radionuclide-retarding capacity (equilibrium distribution coefficient and diffusion coefficient), swelling pressure, thermal conductivity, mechanical properties, organic carbon content, and illitization rate were considered as major technical parameters for the functional criteria of the buffer. Domestic bentonite (Ca-bentonite) and, as an alternative, MX-80 (Na-bentonite) were proposed for the buffer of an HLW repository in Korea. The technical specifications for those proposed bentonites were set to parameter values that conservatively satisfy Korea's functional criteria for the Ca-bentonite and Swedish criteria for the Na-bentonite. The thickness of the buffer was determined by evaluating the means of shear behavior, radionuclide release, and heat conduction, which resulted in the proper buffer thickness of 0.25 to 0.5 m. However, the final thickness of the buffer should be determined by considering coupled thermal-hydraulic-mechanical evaluation and economics and engineering aspects as well.
We applied the ISPSO-GLUE method, which integrates the Isolated-Speciation-based Particle Swarm Optimization (ISPSO) with the Generalized Likelihood Uncertainty Estimation (GLUE) method, to the uncertainty analysis of the Topography Model (TOPMODEL) and compared its performance with that of the GLUE method. When we performed the same number of model runs for the both methods, we were able to identify the point where the performance of ISPSO-GLUE exceeded that of GLUE, after which ISPSOGLUE kept improving its performance steadily while GLUE did not. When we compared the 95% uncertainty bounds of the two methods, their general shapes and trends were very similar, but those of ISPSO-GLUE enclosed about 5.4 times more observed values than those of GLUE did. What it means is that ISPSOGLUE requires much less number of parameter samples to generate better performing uncertainty bounds. When compared to ISPSO-GLUE, GLUE overestimated uncertainty in the recession limb following the maximum peak streamflow. For this recession period, GLUE requires to find more behavioral models to reduce the uncertainty. ISPSO-GLUE can be a promising alternative to GLUE because the uncertainty bounds of the method were quantitatively superior to those of GLUE and, especially, computationally expensive hydrologic models are expected to greatly take advantage of the feature.

East Asia, which includes China, Japan, Korea, and Mongolia, is highly impacted by hydroclimate extremes such drought, flood, and typhoon recent year. In 2017, more than 18.5 million hectares of crops have been damaged in China, and Korea has suffered economic losses as a result of severe drought. Satellite-derived rainfall products are becoming more accurate as space and time resolution become increasingly higher, and provide an alternative means of estimating ground-based rainfall. In this study, we verified the availability of rainfall products by comparing widely used satellite images such as Climate Hazards Groups InfraRed Precipitation with Station (CHIRPS), Global Precipitation Climatology Centre (GPCC), and Precipitation Estimation From Remotely Sensed Information Using Artificial Neural Networks-Climate Data Record (PERSIANN-CDR) with ground stations in East Asia. Also, the satellite-based rainfall products were used to calculate the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI). The temporal resolution is based on monthly images and compared with the past 30 years data from 1989 to 2018. The comparison between rainfall data based on each satellite image products and the data from weather station-based weather data was shown by the coefficient of determination and showed more than 0.9. Each satellite-based rainfall data was used for each grid and applied to East Asia and South Korea. As a result of SPI analysis, the RMSE values of CHIRPS were 0.57, 0.53 and 0.47, and the MAE values of 0.46, 0.43 and 0.37 were better than other satellite products. This satellite-derived rainfall estimates offers important advantages in terms of spatial coverage, timeliness and cost efficiency compared to analysis for drought assessment with ground stations.

Treatment of secondary effluent was investigated using sandy soil as a possible alternative to the tertiary treatment of municipal wastewater. Secondary effluent was applied with three different flow rates to the surface of pilot scaled lysimeters, which were filled with sandy soil. Some of the lysimeters were covered with osd, while others were kept bare in order to investigate the role of plantation on the treatment. The concentration changes in COD and nitrogen were measured along the unsaturated soil depth. The same set of experiment as with the secondary effluent was performed using tap water to investigate the dissolution of the contaminants from the soil. from the results it was found that when sandy soil was used for tertiary treatment of municipal wastewater COD removal efficiency reached about 70% regardless of the application rate. The soil depth needed to obtain such efficiency increased along with the application rate, which was about 60 cm at the application rate of 50 L/day. Results also showed that nitrification occurred rapidly. The process was completed in soil depth of first $10{\sim}20\;cm$. Nitrogen removal efficiency was as low as about 20% regardless of the application rate. Some supplementary means should be considered to improve the efficiency. Sod on the soil surface had no significant influence on the contaminant treatment but was helpful to keep the infiltration rate undiminished. Finally, the organic soil was found to release significant amount of contaminants when it was in contact with soil water.
The comprehensive countermeasures against school violence recently announced by the government include some content on physical education classes. Physical education has long been ignored in school paradoxically in spite of the deteriorating physical strength and health of adolescents. The physical education subject undervalued in the middle of overly excessive competitions for college entrance exams finds its core goal in whole person education and officially emphasizes the development of personality aspects, which means that physical education claims important significance by providing diverse approaches to school violence prevention. This study thus set out to enhance the roles of physical education for school violence prevention. In Korean society, school violence has taken deep root due to the combined results of individual, family, school and community factors, the growth-first policy driven by compressed modern growth, and neoliberalism based on economic efficiency. School violence possesses such fixed value systems and convictions in Korean society. Education has failed to achieve some effectiveness because of the serious level of school violence, which calls for assessment of ideology having big impacts on educational environments. Given that it has been rediscovered that physical education has legitimacy of alleviating or preventing school violence through its value, an alternative to eradicate school violence should start with physical education normalization in school. Specific alternatives including the activation of sports clubs in school will be established as more fundamental practical alternatives when accompanied by the development of school violence-related programs and the operation of in-service training programs for physical education teachers.
Bayesian methodology is appropriated for use in PRA because subjective knowledges as well as objective data are applied to assessment. In this study, radiological risk based on Bayesian methodology is assessed for the loss of source in field radiography. The exposure scenario for the lost source presented in U.S. NRC is reconstructed by considering the domestic situation and Bayes theorem is applied to updating of failure probabilities of safety functions. In case of updating of failure probabilities, it shows that 5 % Bayes credible intervals using Jeffreys prior distribution are lower than ones using vague prior distribution. It is noted that Jeffreys prior distribution is appropriated in risk assessment for systems having very low failure probabilities. And, it shows that the mean of the expected annual dose for the public based on Bayesian methodology is higher than the dose based on classical methodology because the means of the updated probabilities are higher than classical probabilities. The database for radiological risk assessment are sparse in domestic. It summarizes that Bayesian methodology can be applied as an useful alternative lot risk assessment and the study on risk assessment will be contributed to risk-informed regulation in the field of radiation safety.
Objective: This study was aimed at evaluating effects of cattle breed resources and alternative mixed-feeding practices on meat productivity and emission intensities from household farming systems (HFS) in Daklak Province, Vietnam. Methods: Records from Local $Yellow{\time}Red$ Sindhi (Bos indicus; Lai Sind) and 1/2 Limousin, 1/2 Drought Master, and 1/2 Red Angus cattle during the growth (0 to 21 months) and fattening (22 to 25 months) periods were used to better understand variations on meat productivity and enteric methane emissions. Parameters were determined by the ruminant model. Four scenarios were developed: (HFS1) grazing from birth to slaughter on native grasses for approximately 10 h plus 1.5 kg dry matter/d (0.8% live weight [LW]) of a mixture of guinea grass (19%), cassava (43%) powder, cotton (23%) seed, and rice (15%) straw; (HFS2) growth period fed with elephant grass (1% of LW) plus supplementation (1.5% of LW) of rice bran (36%), maize (33%), and cassava (31%) meals; and HFS3 and HFS4 computed elephant grass, but concentrate supplementation reaching 2% and 1% of LW, respectively. Results: Results show that compared to HFS1, emissions ($72.3{\pm}0.96kg\;CH_4/animal/life$; least squares $means{\pm}standard$ error of the mean) were 15%, 6%, and 23% lower (p<0.01) for the HFS2, HFS3, and HFS4, respectively. The predicted methane efficiencies ($CO_2eq$) per kg of LW at slaughter ($4.3{\pm}0.15$), carcass weight ($8.8{\pm}0.25kg$) and kg of edible protein ($44.1{\pm}1.29$) were also lower (p<0.05) in the HFS4. In particular, irrespective of the HSF, feed supply and ratio changes had a more positive impact on emission intensities when crossbred 1/2 Red Angus cattle were fed than in their crossbred counterparts. Conclusion: Modest improvements on feeding practices and integrated modelling frameworks may offer potential trade-offs to respond to climate change in Vietnam.
In this paper, the commercial feasibility of trigeneration, producing heat, power, and hydrogen (CHHP) and using biogas derived from macroalgae (i.e., seaweed biomass feedstock), are investigated. For this purpose, a commercial scale trigeneration process, consisting of three MW solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs), gas turbine, and organic Rankine cycle, is designed conceptually and simulated using Aspen plus, a commercial process simulator. To produce hydrogen, a solid oxide fuel cell system is re-designed by the removal of after-burner and the addition of a water-gas shift reactor. The cost of each unit operation equipment in the process is estimated through the calculated heat and mass balances from simulation, with the techno-economic analysis following through. The designed CHHP process produces 2.3 MW of net power and 50 kg hr-1 of hydrogen with an efficiency of 37% using 2 ton hr-1 of biogas from 3.47 ton hr-1 (dry basis) of brown algae as feedstock. Based on these results, a realistic scenario is evaluated economically and the breakeven electricity selling price (BESP) is calculated. The calculated BESP is ¢10.45 kWh-1, which is comparable to or better than the conventional power generation. This means that the CHHP process based on SOFC can be a viable alternative when the technical targets on SOFC are reached.

In Space Syntax, the greater the degree of integration between separate links, the greater the links' accessibility from the target network. As such, planning pedestrian walks so that links with high degrees of integration are connected, or else inducing high integration value land use are both valid options. The travel distribution model reflects how walking demand, or more specifically, the pedestrian, partakes in route choosing behavior that minimizes select criteria, notably level of discomfort, as measured using travel distance and time. The model thus demonstrates travel patterns associated with demand pertaining to minimization of discomfort experienced by the pedestrian. This research introduces a method that integrates Space Syntax and the pedestrian travel distribution model. The integrated model will determine whether regions with high degrees of integration are actually being used as pivots for pedestrian demand movement, as well as to explain whether the degree of integration is sustained at an appropriate level while considering actual movement demand. As a means to develop the integrated model, a method that combines display of the visibility of the space syntax network and road-divided links is proposed. The pedestrian travel distribution model also includes an alternative path finding mechanism between origin and destination, which allows for uniform allocation of demand.
