Contemporary architecture is showing its deconstruction and departure from modern architecture based on rationality, such as reductionism or virtualism. This means a shift from a mechanistic and ecological world view to an organic and ecological view, from a deterministic reason to a reason for a possible secret static. This study examines the potential of fractals, a scientific theory of complexity that is emerging as a new paradigm in the 21st century, as an appropriate alternative to contemporary complexity architecture. The method and scope of this study were understood and its features were identified through literature and data research and prior study review. Based on the organic nature of fractal geometry, we analyzed the works of contemporary architects(Frank Gehry, Bernard Tschumi, Steven Holl, Zaha Hadid, Rem Koolhaas, Daniel Libeskind, Zvi Hecker, Ito Toyo) and studied the possibility of architectural design using the principle of fractal. As a result, fractal geometry, similar to the patterned order of nature, has an infinite set of organizational functionalities in architecture and can be applied in various aspects of design analysis. Architectural designs based on the fractal theory will require more research and development to realize dynamic design representation using digital computers.
As expectations for medical service have increased recently, the interest in medical quality improvement and patient safety has increased. In addition, as part of efforts to improve the training environment of the residents, the working hours of the residents are reduced which means that the medical workforce is expected to change significantly in the future. As a result, in hospital care of surgical patients, it is inevitable to change the patient care system by surgeon-residents to the new system. For this, the introduction of a surgical hospitalist system is proposed as an alternative. This article is an introduction to the process of introducing a surgical hospitalist system in a single institution and describes in detail the considerations This is the first case of the introduction of surgical hospitalist in Korea. Through this case, we intend to lay the groundwork for the successful implementation of the surgical hospitalist in Korea.
This paper discusses the development of labor law in Indonesia after the 1998 reformasi. The end of the authoritarian regime and the subsequent introduction of democratic institutions in the country have opened up new spaces to restructure labor relations. The government promulgated a set of new labor laws that has brought tremendous changes to the employment system and the system of labor disputes settlement. In the face of the challenges these changes have created, labor unions are using alternative means to defend their members' interests. This paper shows how labor law reform has set a new social contract between the government, employer associations, and the labor movement.
Despite the ubiquity of love in the work of Sarah Kane, the theme has been overshadowed by the violence that characterizes her early plays. This essay differentiates Kane from her contemporary "in-yer-face" playwrights, arguing that violence in Kane operates as a means of securing love. Antonin Artaud's concept of cruelty, often (mis)understood in a physical sense alone, provides a clue to the nature of Kane's violence and its relation to love. The essay focuses on Cleansed and Crave, both written in 1998, one about love's redemptive possibility, the other about its pure impossibility. What makes Cleansed hopeful is its violence that works as love's obstacle, creating the illusion that once it is removed love would be possible. The absence of violence in Crave on the contrary lays the illusion of love bare, making it Kane's most despairing play. Kane's oeuvre draws a trajectory of love from hope to despair; as a whole it stages the impossibility of love. To love the other requires the relinquishing of the self, making love logically impossible by depriving the verb of its subject. Love, if possible, would offer the bliss of unity, tearing out the constraint of the Symbolic Order. Kane's only alternative is death, as is expressed in Crave and 4.48 Psychosis.

Purpose: The forecasting is the likelihood scientifically proved judgment about the prospects, the possible conditions of this or that phenomenon in the future and (or) about the alternative ways and the means of their realization. To adapt the instruments of budgeting for the analysis cash flow of company. Research design, data and methodology: The creates the budget of cash flow were carried out on the basis of data of the report for the 2017 of corporations POSCO and in the first half of the 2018 Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering of South Korea. Results: The simultaneous use of budgeting techniques and the simple financial analysis allows to systematize the transactions, to identify the main problem areas in the movement cash flows. Therefore, working capital analysis is to determine the limits of their fluctuations in view of the changes in the business processes. Conclusions: In the pedagogical context solved the features of budgeting in the part evaluation current assets, its financing, its elements: the cash, the debtor. In the process of budgeting of cash flow, in credit budget, in financial budget we can see the main indicators: the current assets, the functioning capital, the optimum number of debtors, the optimum amount of cash and another.
Recently, number of honeybees (Apis mellifera) has visibly decreased because they are vulnerable to some diseases like American foulbrood disease. American foulbrood disease, which is caused by Paenibacillus larvae, is emerged as great cause of decrease in number of honeybees. After antibiotic-resistant strain emerged, it is now more difficult to treat those pathogens successfully. Researches on finding alternative antibacterial compound are ongoing. In this study, we examined the antibacterial effect of honokiol on P. larvae. Honokiol showed great antibacterial effect with minimum inhibitory concentration of 12.5 ㎍/mL and minimum bactericidal concentration of 50 ㎍/mL. An agar diffusion test also confirmed the anti-Paenibacillus larvae activity of honokiol with an inhibitory zone of 9±0.5 mm. Since honokiol is known to interact membrane of some bacteria, we measured 260 nm absorbing particles, which could be induced by leakage of cells, and confirmed that the leakage of P. larvae occurred in dose-dependent manners. However, result of crystal violet assay suggested that honokiol has only mild anti-biofilm formation effect on P. larvae, which means honokiol controls the bacteria by inducing the bursting of membrane. Finally, an additive effect of honokiol with tetracycline and terramycin was found using a checkerboard assay with a fractional inhibitory concentration index value of 0.5.
Grouper is one of the most economically important fishes with various morphological forms and characteristics, meaning it is often difficult to identify species and distinguish between life stages, sometimes leading to morphological misidentification. Therefore, identification using a molecular deoxyribose nucleic acid (DNA) approach was needed as an alternative means to identify closely related species. This study aims to determine the molecular phylogeny of grouper from the northern part of the Bird's Head Seascape of Papua. The DNA sequence of each cytochrome oxidase I (COI) gene was used to study the molecular relationship among closely related species of grouper. The results showed that there were 16 Epinephelinae that have been compared to a gene bank (National Centre for Biotechnology Information, NCBI) in the sequence length of 623 base pairs. The closest genetic distance was found between Cephalopholis miniata and Cephalopholis sexmaculata (0.036), while the furthest genetic distance was observed between Plectropomus laevis and Cephalopholis spiloparaea (0.247). This finding was further reinforced by the morphological characters of each species. This finding highlighted that five genera were represented as a monophyletic group (clade), i.e., Epinephelus, Cephalopholis, Plectropomus, Saloptia and Variola.

Bacterial cellulose (BC) is gaining attention as a carbon-neutral alternative to plant cellulose, and as a means to prevent deforestation and achieve a carbon-neutral society. However, the high cost of fermentation media for BC production is a barrier to its industrialization. In this study, chestnut shell (CS) hydrolysates were used as a carbon source for the BC-producing bacteria strain, Gluconacetobacter xylinus ATCC 53524. To evaluate the suitability of the CS hydrolysates, major inhibitors in the hydrolysates were analyzed, and BC production was profiled during fermentation. CS hydrolysates (40 g glucose/l) contained 1.9 g/l acetic acid when applied directly to the main medium. As a result, the BC concentration at 96 h using the control group and CS hydrolysates was 12.5 g/l and 16.7 g/l, respectively (1.3-fold improved). In addition, the surface morphology of BC derived from CS hydrolysates revealed more densely packed nanofibrils than the control group. In the microbial BC production using CS, the hydrolysate had no inhibitory effect during fermentation, suggesting it is a suitable feedstock for a sustainable and eco-friendly biorefinery. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to valorize CS by utilizing it in BC production.
