The purpose of this study was to assess the clinical and microbiological effect of chlorhexidine rinse following scaling and root planing on periodontits. 10 patients with periodontal disease were selected for the study. They had not taken antibiotics for months and no history of dental treatment for 6 months before the study. They were good in general health. Patients received a scaling and root planing under local infiltration anesthesia, chlorhexidine rise group were subjected to twice a day 0.1% chlorhexidine rinse for a period 2 week. After initial clinical(plaque index, gingival index, probing pocket depth), microbiological and BANA tests were determined, each subject received a single session of scaling and root planing but no oral hygiene instructions. Clinical indices were measured, microbial parameters and BANA test were reassessed 1, 2 and 4 weeks after treatment. The results were as follows : 1. Plaque index, gingival index and pocket depth in chlorhexidine rinse group and control group were not significantly reduce during all weeks when compared chlorhexidine rinse group with control groups. Plaque index in chlorhexidine rinse group and control group were siginificantly reduced at 1, 2, 4weeks(P<0.05), gingival index and pocket depth wee ignificantly reduced at 2, 4weeks in both groups(P<0.05). 2. Perecntage of cocci and motile rods was significantly changed at 1, 2, 4weeks in chlorhexidine rinse group(P<0.05), control group was significantly changed at 4weeks in control group(P<0.05), intergroup difference was significantly at 2weeks in cocci and 4weeks in motile rods(P<0.05). 3. Percentage of non-motile rods in all group were not significantly changed when compared with those of baseline. 4. Percentage of spirochetes was significantly reduced at 4 week(P<0.05), control group was not significantly reduced during all weeks. 5. BANA test scores was significantly reduced during all weeks in chlorhexidine rinse group(P<0.05), control group was not significantly reduced during all weeks. The result showed that clinical and microbiological effect following scaling, root palning and chlorhexidine on periodontal disease.
Four rumen-fistulated crossbred beef cattle (Brahman native) were randomly assigned according to a $4{\times}4$ Latin square design experiment to be fed plant herb supplements in their concentrate mixture. The treatments were: without herb supplementation (Control), lemongrass meal supplementation at 100 g/d (L), lemongrass meal supplementation at 100 g/d plus peppermint powder at 10 g/d (LP), and lemongrass meal supplementation at 100 g/d plus peppermint powder at 10 g/d with garlic powder 40 g/d (LPG), respectively. Based on the present study, the DMI and apparent digestibility of DM, OM, aNDF and ADF were not affected by dietary herb supplementation while CP digestibility tended to be decreased by herb supplement. Moreover, $NH_3$-N and BUN were decreased in all herb supplemented treatments and there was a tendency to an increase in ruminal pH in all herb supplemented groups. While there was no change in TVFA and C4 among lemongrass treatments, C2 was decreased in all herb supplemented treatments while C3 was increased. Methane production by calculation was the lowest in the LP and LPG groups. Population sizes of bacteria and protozoa were decreased in all herb supplemented groups, but not fungal zoospores. In all supplemented groups, total viable and proteolytic bacteria were decreased, while amylolytic and cellulolytic bacteria were similar. More importantly, in all herb supplemented groups, there were higher N balances, while there was no difference among treatments on purine derivative (PD) excretion or microbial N. Based on the results above, it could be concluded that there was no negative effect on ruminal fermentation characteristics and nutrient utilization by plant herb supplement, but protozoal population and $CH_4$ production were reduced. Thus, lemongrass alone or in combination with peppermint and garlic powder could be used as feed additives to improve rumen fermentation efficiency.

Objective : The objective of this study was to explore the meaning of "man (滿)" in Shanghanlun through the analysis of four cases. Methods : We analyzed four cases treated with modified Soshiho-tang, which is administered when 滿 aggravates chief complaints. All cases were diagnosed by the disease pattern identification diagnostic system based on the Shanghanlun provisions. Results : All 4 patients' chief complaints were improved after administration of modified Soshiho-tang. Swelling symptoms were reduced in all 4 cases. Through the etymological research and clinical treatment results, the clinical meaning of 滿 was deduced as "swelling." Conclusions : The etymological and clinical analysis suggest that the concept of "滿" may be defined as "swelling" in the Shanghanlun provisions.
The effect of aqua-acupuncture of total saponin on the recovery of liver function in -intoxicated rats was exemined. Rats were divided into normal, control and three experimental groups (As-I group : aqua-acupuncture of saline to Gansu locus and Aa-III group : aqua-a-cupuncture of total saponin to blank locus at the thigh). Changes of some serum biochemical parameters (ALT, AST and ALP, total protein and albumin, and albumin/globulin (A/G) ratio) were determined. Serum ALT activities were increased by $CCI_{4}$T and decreased in all aqua-acupuncture groups compared with the control group. Aa-I group showed significant decrease of ALT activities on the 2nd (P<0.05) and 3rd (P<0.05) day, respectively. Aa-II group showed significant decrease on the 3rd day (P<0.05) day. Serum AST activities were increased by $CCI_{4}$T and decreased in all apua-acupuncture groups compared with the control group. Aa-I group showed significant decrease on the 1st (P<0.05), 2nd (P<0.001) and 3rd (P<0.001) day, respectively. Aa-II group showed significant decrease on the 3rd (P<0.001) day. Aa-III group showed significant decrese on the 1st (P<0.05) and 3rd (P<0.001) day, respectrvely. Serum ALP activities were increased by $CCI_{4}$T and decreased in all aqua-a-cupuncture groups compared with the control group. Aa-I group showed significant decrease on the 3rd (P<0.01) day. Total protein, albumin and A/G ratio were decreased by $CCI_{4}$T and increased in all aqua-acupuncture groups compared with control group. Aa-I group showed significant increase only on the 3rd day in albumin (P<0.01). It was thought that the aqua-acupuncture of total saponin to Gansu locus was effective on the recovery of liver function in $CCI_{4}$T-intoxicated rats.

Objective : For the purpose of developing Korean herbology of the plants to Papaveraceae in Korea, the literatures of the successive generations have been thoroughly investigated to prepare this article. Methods : Books and research papers about Herbology which published at home and abroad were examined. Results : A list was made about Papaveraceae plant which were cultivated or grew naturally in Korea, after investigated the data on domestic and foreign Papaveraceae plants. Out of those lists, serviceable plants were selected and with those available plants, their distributions were analysed and parts which can be used as medicines were divided into 3 categories such as oriental medicine name, scientific name and non-official name. Papaveraceae's properties flavor, channels they use, effects, and toxicity were also noted. Papaveraceae (grew in Korea) were divided into 4 classes with 8 species. Out of those, 3 classes with 4 species were found serviceable which indicates 50% of all. Out of all 8 species of Papaveraceae family, Papaver genus were found 4 species, which were shown the most. Among 3 genus of 4 species, medicinal plants were all one species each. Out of all serviceable parts in Papaveraceae, Radix and Herba, Etc parts took first place as 2 species. There are toxic, the 3 species and 6 parts survey said. Conclusion : There were totaled to 4 genera and 8 species in Papaveraceae in Korea and among them medicinal plants are 3 genera, 4 species, some 50% in total.
The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of skin pressure by wearing all-in-one on the rhythm of body temperature such as skin and rectal temperature which play a crucial role in the nocturnal rhythm. Five healthy female were participated in the study as subjects. The experimental clothing was an all-in-one, one of the foundation, which is worn for shaping the body. The total experimental periods were 5 days. On the 1st day, subjects did not wear the all-in-one (None), and they wore it for about 12 hours per day from 2nd to 5th day (Wearing1~4). Skin and rectal temperature were measured during the entire experimental days to figure out the rhythm of body temperature during sleep. When subjects wore the all-in-one, the gradients of the forearm and calf skin temperature at the sleep onset were significantly smaller than "None". It indicated that the rise of extremities' skin temperature was low on the "Wearing1~4". The decline of rectal temperature in "Wearing 1~4" was smaller than "None". Therefore, the skin pressure by all-in-one may cause the temperature of extremities' skin and rectum to change, resulting the fluctuation of the circadian rhythm, finally it could have effects on the rhythm of sleep.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the pulpal responses to the base materials such as zinc oxide eugenol cement, calcium hydroxide, zinc phosphate cement, polycarboxylate cement and glass ionomer cement. Only about 10% of selected equipment in nuclear power plants are monitored by wiring to address failures or problems caused by vibration. The purpose is primarily for preventive maintenance, not for predictive maintenance. This paper shows that vibration monitoring and diagnosis using Industrial 4.0 enables the complete predictive maintenance for all vibrating equipments in nuclear power plants with the convergence of internet of things; wireless technology, big data through periodic collection and artificial intelligence. Predictive maintenance using wireless technology is possible in all areas of nuclear power plants and in all systems, but it should satisfy regulatory guides on electromagnetic interference and cyber security.
