  • The resistance Spot Welding is widely used in the field of assembling the plates. However we don't still have any satisfactory solution, which is non-destructive quality evaluation in real-time or on-line, against it. Moreover, even though the rate of welding under the condition of expulsion has been high until now, quality control of welding against expulsion hasn't still been established. In this paper, it was proposed on the quality assurance technique of resistance spot welding pieces using Neuro-Fuzzy algorithm. Four parameters from electrode separation signal in the case of non-expulsion, and dynamic resistance patterns in the case of expulsion are selected as fuzzy input parameters. The parameters consist of Fuzzy Inference System are determined through Neuro-Learning algorithm. And then, fuzzy Inference System is constructed. It was confirmed that the fuzzy inference values of strength have within ${\pm}$4% error specimen in comparison with real strength for the total strength range, and the specimen percent having within ${\pm}$1% error was 88.8%. According to KS(Korean Industrial Standard), tensile-shear strength limit for electric coated of zinc is 400kgf/mm2. Judging to the quality of welding is good or bad, according to this criterion and the results of inference, the probability of misjudgement that good quality is valuated into poor one was 0.43%, on contrary it was 2.59%. Finally, the proposed Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System can infer the tensile-shear strength of resistance spot welding pieces with high performance for all cases-non-expulsion and expulsion. And On-Line Welding Quality Inspection System will be realized sooner or later.

  • Active thin films are ubiquitous in the manufacture of all forms of flat panel display (FPD). One of the most widely employed thin films is indium tin oxide (ITO) and metal films used electrically conductive materials in display industries. ITO is widely used for fabrication of LCD, OLED device, and many kinds of optical applications because of transparency in visible range and its high conductivity and metal films are also widely employed as electrodes in various electric and display industries. It is important that removing specific area of layer, such as ITO or metal film on substrate, to fabricate and repair electrode in display industries. In this work, we demonstrate efficient selective ablation process to ITO and aluminum film on glass using a femtosecond laser (${\lambda}p=1025nm$) respectively. The femtosecond laser with wavelength of 1025nm, pulse duration of 400fs, and the repetition rate of 100kHz was used for selectively removing ITO and Al on glass in the air. We can successfully remove the ITO and Al films with various pulse energies using a femtosecond laser.

  • Polyimides synthesized by using 2,2'-bis(3,4-carboxylphenyl) hexafluoropropane dianhydride (6FDA) and 4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane (DAM) were sulfonated according to reaction times, 5 min to 20 min. And the resulting polyimide membranes were investigated in terms of permeability and separation factor for $N_2$, $O_2$, and $CO_2$ gases. The introduction of bulky group, $-{SO_3}H$, leads to the decreases of both diffusivities and solubilities for all the range of reaction times. At 20 min of sulfonation, the diffusivity and solubility of $N_2$ decrease up to 21% and 26%, respectively. Overall separation efficiencies for $O_2/N_2$ and $CO_2/N_2$ increase as the reaction time increases to 20 min.

  • In this work, we used a novel RF-CSP to develop a broadband amplifier MMIC, including all the matching and biasing components, for Ku and K band applications. By utilizing an ACF for the RF-CSP, the fabrication process for the packaged amplifier MMIC could be simplified and made cost effective. STO (SrTiO$_3$) capacitors were employed to integrate the DC biasing components on the MMIC. A pre-matching technique was used for the gate input and drain output of the FETs to achieve a broadband design for the amplifier MMIC. The amplifier CSP MMIC exhibited good RF performance (Gain of 12.5$\pm$1.5 dB, return loss less than -6 dB, PldB of 18.5$\pm$1.5 dBm) over a wide frequency range. This work is the first report of a fully integrated CSP amplifier MMIC successfully operating in the Ku/K band.

  • The mechanical and electrical properties of the pressureless sintered SiC-TiB$_2$electroconductive ceramic composites were investigated as functions of the transition metal of TiB$_2$. The result of phase analysis for the SiC-TiB$_2$ composites by XRD revealed $\alpha$-SiC(6H), TiB$_2$, and YAG(Al$_{5}$Y$_3$O$_{12}$) crystal phases. The relative density showed the lowest 84.8% for the SiC-TiB$_2$composites added with 39vol.%TiB$_2$. Owing to crack deflection, crack bridging and YAG of fracture toughness mechanism, the fracture toughness showed the highest value of 7.8 MPa.m$^{1}$2/ for composites added with 39vol.%TiB$_2$under a pressureless annealing at room temperature. The electrical resistivity of the SiC-27vol.%TiB$_2$ composites was negative temperature coefficient resistance(NTCR), and the electrical resistivity of the besides SiC-27vol.%TiB$_2$composites was all positive temperature coefficient resistance(PCTR) in the temperature range of $25^{\circ}C$ to $700^{\circ}C$.EX>.

  • The mechanical and electrical properties of the hot-pressed and annealed $\beta$-Sic-$TiB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites were investigated as function of the liquid forming additives of $Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_3$. Phase analysis of composites by XRD revealed $\alpha$-SiC(6H), $TiB_2$, and YAG($Al_{5}Y_{3}O_{12}$). The relative density and the mechanical properties of composites were increased with increasing $Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_3$ contents because YAG of reaction between $Al_{2}O_3$ and $Y_{2}O_3$ was increased. The Flexural strength showed the highest value of 432.5MPa for composites added with l2wt% $Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_3$ additives at room temperature. Owing to crack deflection, crack bridging, phase transition and YAG of fracture toughness mechanism. the fracture toughness showed 7.1MPa${\cdot}m^{1/2}$. For composites added with l2wt% $Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_3$ additives at room temperature The electrical resistivity and the resistance temperature coefficient respectively showed the lowest of 6.0${\sim}10^{-4}{\Omega}{\cdot}$ cm and 3.1${\times}10^{-3}/^{\circ}C$ for composite added with l2wt% $Al_{2}O_{3}+Y_{2}O_3$ additives at room temperature. The electrical resistivity of the composites was all positive temperature coefficient resistance(PTCR) in the temperature range of 25$^{\circ}C$ to 700$^{\circ}C$.
