Al과 Ca을 함유한 화학제재의 첨가가 깔짚내 휘발성 지방산과 질소 함량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Chemical Additives Containing Al and Ca on Volatile Fatty Acids and Nitrogen Contents of Litter)

  • The objectives of this study were conducted to determine the effects of two chemical amendments on volatile fatty acids (VFA) and nitrogen contents in poultry litter after broiler chicks were raised in poultry houses for 6 weeks. Two different additives were applied as a top dressing to the litter at a rate of $AlCl_3{\cdot}6H_2O$ (200 g)+$CaCO_3$ (50 g) or Alum (200 g)+$CaCO_3$ (50 g)/kg of rice bran; untreated litter served as controls. Application of $AlCl_3+CaCO_3$ and Alum+$CaCO_3$ reduced total VFA contents by 67% and 51% at 6 weeks, respectively, compard to the control groups. The decrease in litter pH with two chemical treatments results in decreased proportion of VFA and increased nitrogen contents of the litter. These results indicate that treating $AlCl_3+CaCO_3$ and Alum+$CaCO_3$ to poultry litter offers the potential for reducing an environmental impact.

  • The propellant tile and crack which account for the greatest proportion of solid rockets are profoundly affected by viscosity and mechanical properties of solid propellant. In this paper HTPB/AP/Al system propellant has been researched for the viscosity, mechanical properties and burning properties with type and contents of bonding agents. The viscosity of propellant was changed significantly depending on the type and contents of bonding agents, and mechanical properties of HTPB/AP/Al system propellant were also varied. Considering both lower viscosity and stable mechanical properties, the optimum type and contents of bonding agents can be identified as the main factors to the HTPB/AP/Al system propellant.

  • The aging behavior of sintered Al composites with various ceramic contents was investigated. 2xxx series blended powder was used as the starting powder. Ceramic contents were 0wt.% and 5wt.%. The blended powders were compacted at 250MPa. The sintering process was performed at $620^{\circ}C$ for 60min in a $N_2$ atmosphere. Each part was solution-treated at $518^{\circ}C$ for 60min and aged at $180^{\circ}C$. The Rockwell hardness at the peak aging time increased with ceramic contents. However, the peak aging time at maximum hardness was reduced with increased ceramic contents.

Al 합금과 STD61강의 소착에 미치는 첨가원소 Fe, Mn의 영향 (Effects of Fe, Mn Contents on the Al Alloys and STD61 Steel Die Soldering)

  • Recently, various attempts to produce a heat sink made of Al 6xxx alloys have been carried out using die-casting. In order to apply die-casting, the Al alloys should be verified for die-soldering ability with die steel. It is generally well known that both Fe and Mn contents have effects on decreasing die soldering, especially with aluminum alloys containing substantial amounts of Si. However, die soldering has not been widely studied for the low Si aluminum (1.0~2.0wt%) alloys. Therefore, in this study, an investigation was performed to consider how the soldering phenomena were affected by Fe and Mn contents in low Si aluminum alloys. Each aluminum alloy was melted and held at $680^{\circ}C$. Then, STD61 substrate was dipped for 2 hr in the melt. The specimens, which were air cooled, were observed using a scanning electron microscope and were line analyzed by an electron probe micro analyzer. The SEM results of the dipping soldering test showed an Al-Fe inter-metallic layer in the microstructure. With increasing Fe content up to 0.35%, the Al-Fe inter-metallic layer became thicker. In Al-1.0%Si alloy, the additional content of Mn also increased the thickness of the inter-metallic layer compared to that in the alloy without Mn. In addition, EPMA analysis showed that Al-Fe inter-metallic compounds such as $Al_2Fe$, $Al_3Fe$, and $Al_5Fe_2$ formed in the die soldering layers.

Effect of Al and Mg Contents on Wettability and Reactivity of Molten Zn-Al-Mg Alloys on Steel Sheets Covered with MnO and SiO2 Layers

  • The reactive wetting behaviors of molten Zn-Al-Mg alloys on MnO- and amorphous (a-) $SiO_2$-covered steel sheets were investigated by the sessile drop method, as a function of the Al and Mg contents in the alloys. The sessile drop tests were carried out at $460^{\circ}C$ and the variation in the contact angles (${\theta}_c$) of alloys containing 0.2-2.5 wt% Al and 0-3.0 wt% Mg was monitored for 20 s. For all the alloys, the MnO-covered steel substrate exhibited reactive wetting whereas the $a-SiO_2$-covered steel exhibited nonreactive, nonwetting (${\theta}_c>90^{\circ}$) behavior. The MnO layer was rapidly removed by Al and Mg contained in the alloys. The wetting of the MnO-covered steel sheet significantly improved upon increasing the Mg content but decreased upon increasing the Al content, indicating that the surface tension of the alloy droplet is the main factor controlling its wettability. Although the reactions of Al and Mg in molten alloys with the $a-SiO_2$ layer were found to be sluggish, the wettability of Zn-Al-Mg alloys on the $a-SiO_2$ layer improved upon increasing the Al and Mg contents. These results suggest that the wetting of advanced high-strength steel sheets, the surface oxide layer of which consists of a mixture of MnO and $SiO_2$, with Zn-Al-Mg alloys could be most effectively improved by increasing the Mg content of the alloys.

  • Effect of iron and manganese contents on die soldering reaction has been studied in Al-9wt.%Si-0.3wt.%Mg alloy. Ternary ${\alpha}_{hcp}-Al_8Fe_2Si$ and ${\alpha}_{bcc}-Al_8Fe_2Si$ intermetallic compounds formed by interaction diffusion between Al-Si-Mg system alloy melt and SKD61 die steel surface. Thickness of soldering reaction layer in die steel surface decreased as Fe and Mn contents of the melts increased : When Fe content of Al-9wt.%Si-0.3wt.%Mg melts at constant 0.5wt%Mn content was 0.15wt.%, 0.45wt.% and 0.6wt.%, thickness of soldered layer of each alloy was $64.5{\mu}m,\;57.3{\mu}m$ and $46.9{\mu}m$ respectively. For Mn content of the alloy melts at constant 0.45wt.%Fe content was 0.30wt.%, 0.50wt.% and 0.70wt.%, thickness of soldered layer of each alloy was $66.1{\mu}m,\;57.3{\mu}m$ and $48.3{\mu}m$ respectively.

주성분분석 및 다중회귀분석에 의한 제주도 토양유기물 및 $Al_o+1/2Fe_o$ 함량 분포 (Distribution of Organic Matter and $Al_o+1/2Fe_o$ Contents in Soils Using Principal Component and Multiple Regression Analysis in Jeju Island)

  • Soil Taxonomy의 새로운 Andisols목 토양의 분류체계에서 토양유기물 함량과 Ammonium oxalate 추출 Al함량과 Fe의 1/2함량의 합은 중요한 기준이다. 제주도는 토양생성환경이 다양하여 Andisols 토양을 포함하여 다양한 토양이 분포하고 있다. 이 논문은 제주도 토양을 대상으로 기후, 식생, 지형 등 여러 가지 환경변수들을 이용하여 토양유기물과 $Al_o+1/2Fe_o$의 함량을 추정할 수 있는 모형을 개발하고, 이를 이용하여 토양특성지도를 제작하기 위하여 수행하였다. 조사대상 지역의 321 지점에서 토양을 채취하여 토양유기물과 $Al_o+1/2Fe_o$ 함량을 분석하고, 각 토양시료 채취지점의 온도, 강우, 순일차생산량, 일사량, 증발산량, 해발고도, 토양생성에너지, 지형습윤지수, 주변과의 고도차, 해안과 정상으로부터의 거리 등의 환경변수들을 환경변수 지도를 제작하여 추출하였다. 여러 환경변수 간에는 서로 상관관계가 높게 나타나는 다중공선성을 나타내었으며, 이를 주성분분석에 의한 변수 변환으로 제거하였다. 주성분분석 결과를 바탕으로 변환된 변수들은 산악효과, 식생효과, 복잡 효과 등 3개의 주성분으로 축소할 수 있었고, 이 3개의 변수를 이용하여 토양유기물과 $Al_o+1/2Fe_o$ 함량을 예측할 수 있는 다중회귀모형을 구하였다. 이 모형들은 전체 토양유기물 변이의 52%와 전체 $Al_o+1/2Fe_o$ 변이의 37%를 설명할 수 있었다. 모형을 이용하여 제작된 토양유기물 지도는 토양도를 바탕으로 한 토양유기물 지도와 전체적인 형태에서 매우 유사한 형태를 나타내었다. 따라서 환경요인은 제주도 토양의 분포에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단되었고, 정량화할 수 있는 환경요인을 이용하여 토양특성지도를 제작할 수 있음을 구명하였다.

고압 금형주조용 Al-9%Si-0.3%Mg 합금의 Fe, Mn 함량이 인장특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Fe and Mn Contents on the Tensile Property of Al-9%Si-0.3%Mg Alloy for High Pressure Die Casting)

  • Effect of Fe and Mn contents on the tensile properties has been studied in Al-9wt%Si-0.3wt%Mg alloy. As Fe content of Al-9wt%Si-0.3wt%Mg-0.5wt%Mn alloy increased from 0.15wt% to 0.45wt%, tensile strength of as-cast alloy decreased from 192 MPa to 174 MPa, and elongation of the alloy also decreased from 4.8% to 4.2%. Decrease of these properties can be explained as the formation of plate shape, ${\beta}-Al_5FeSi$ phase with high Fe/Mn ratio of the alloy. However when Mn content of Al-9wt%Si-0.3wt%Mg-0.45wt%Fe alloy increased from 0.3wt% to 0.5wt%, tensile strength of T6 aged alloy increased from 265 MPa to 275 MPa, and elongation of the alloy increased from 2.3% to 3.6%. These improvements attribute to chinese script, ${\alpha}-Al_{15}(Mn,Fe)_3Si_2$ phase shape-modified from ${\beta}-Al_5FeSi$ phase with low Fe/Mn ratio of the alloy.

열간가압소결에 의해 제조된 AlN-hBN 복합재료의 마이크로 엔드밀링 가공특성 평가 (Evaluation of Micro End-Milling Characteristics of AlN-hBN Composites Sintered by Hot-Pressing)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate various machining characteristics of AlN-hBN machinable ceramics in micro end-milling process for its further application. First, AlN based machinable ceramics with hBN contents in the range of 10 to 20vol% were prepared by hot-pressing. Material properties of the composites, such as relative density, Vickers hardness, flexural strength, Young's modulus and fracture toughness were measured and compared. Then, micro end-milling experiments were performed to fabricate micro channels using prepared system. During the process, cutting forces, vibrations and AE signals were measured and analyzed using applied sensor system. Machined micro channel shapes and surface roughness were measured using 3D non-contact type surface profiler. From the experimental results, it can be observed that the cutting forces, vibrations and AE signal amplitudes decreased with increasing hBN contents. Also, measured surface roughness and profiles were improved with increasing hBN contents. As a result of this study, optimum machining conditions can be determined to fabricate desired products with AlN-hBN machinable ceramics based on the experimental results of this research.

염화알루미늄 처리가 벼 유묘생육 및 체내 성분함량에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Aluminum Chloride on Growth and Chemical Components of Rice Seedling)

  • 본 실험은 벼 종자에 Al을 0, 300, 600 및 900ppm으로 처리하여 발아중 Al에 대한 벼의 초장, 근장, 발아율 등의 생육특성, 엽록소 함량, 전분, 당 및 유리 proline함량 등의 변화를 일품벼와 향미벼 001를 공시하여 검시한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 초장과 근장은 Al의 농도가 증가할수록 신장이 감소하였는데 뿌리의 신장억제가 보다 현저하였다. 발아율은 일품벼와 향미벼 001 모두 Al의 농도가 증가함에 따라 발아율의 급격한 감소를 보였다. 2. 엽록소 함량은 품종간 뚜렷한 차이를 보였고 두 품종 모두 Al의 농도가 증가할수록 함량이 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 3. 식물체의 전분과 당함량은 Al 처리시 대조구에 비해 함량이 감소하였다. 4. 식물체의 중금속과 무기성분의 함량은 일품벼에 있어 무처리보다 Al의 농도가 증가함에 따라 Al 600ppm까지는 식물체내의 중금속 축적이 증가하다가 Al 900ppm에서는 오히려 감소하는 경향을 보였고, Ca, Mg, Fe 및 Mn의 식물체내의 함량은 두 품종 모두 Al 처리시 무처리에 비해 Al 처리시 급격한 증가를 보였다. 5. 무처리에 있어서는 발아일수별로 proline함량이 차이가 없었으나 Al 처리의 경우 발아후 1일째는 Al의 농도가 증가함에 따라 유리 proline의 함량도 증가하였고 특히 처리 후 3일째에는 급격한 함량의 증가를 보였다.
