Nickel Mesh for EMI Shielding by Continuous Electroforming (전주도금법에 의한 전자파 차폐용 Ni메쉬 제조기술)

  • Today, We have used many electronic equipment such as computer, TV, cellular phone and so on. These equipment radiate a large amount of EMI(Electromagnetic interference) which is occurred trouble of airplane, medical equipment, communicate equipment, and especially, human health. So, Ni mesh fabrication for EMI shielding by continuous electroforming process was investigated. Continuous electroforming apparatus was made by means of rotating cathode drum. And We investigated the characteristics of two types of Ni electroforming solution. One was made by laboratory and the other was produced by M cooperation. The grain size increased with increasing current density and bath temperature, and decreasing rotating speed of cathode drum. EDX results indicate that the Ni mesh electroformed by the KIMM solution is composed of pure Ni. But the Ni mesh electroformed by the M cooperation solution has Ni and S element. The incorporation of S element in the Ni mesh has a profoundly effect on mechanical properties such as hardness, internal stress and so on.

  • In this paper, full body modeling and analysis of nose and main landing gear's characteristics of a helicopter are performed using the dynamics analysis program ADAMS. Also, when land limiting about helicopter body's degree-of-freedom, compared the characteristics. In the case of helicopter, because there are a lot of dangerous missions under flight condition that is disadvantageous than fixed wing airplane, need more detailed research for a helicopter.

  • Accident statistics cite the flightcrew as a primary contributor in about 70 percent of accidents involving transport category airplanes. The introduction of modem flight deck designs, which have automated many piloting tasks, has reduced or eliminated some types of flightcrew errors, but other types of errors have been introduced. To identify the impedimental factors in highly automated modem airplane cockpit systems, this study used readily available information sources and case study, From the evidence, this study identified issues that show vulnerabilities in pilot management of automation, situation awareness, communication between pilots and controllers, pilot's training and evaluation methods. The next step will require the aviation community to solve these problems for the safety improvement.

Formulation of Human Manikin Models Representative of Korean Male Pilots (한국인 조종사의 대표적 인체모형군 생성)

  • The anthropometric characteristics of the intended user population are most important parameters in the equipment and workplace layout design, particularly in the airplane cockpit design. Because human body is composed of multi-dimensional body segments, single 'average' or 'extreme' manikin is not sufficient in computer-aided design(CAD) environments. To overcome this limitation, we constructed a manikin group representing Korean Male pilot population. First, we identified 16 anthropometric variables which are important parameters in the evaluation of reach, visibility, and clearance. And we found their correlations and conducted a factor analysis. Four common factors were extracted in the factor analysis. The first one was related with length dimensions, the second was with the arm reach, the third was with the sitting height, and the last was with breadth-depth dimensions. Finally, 17 manikins were constructed and presented in the CAD prototype.

Hydroelastic Responses of Nonerctangular Floating Airports Considering the Shape of Control Tower (관제탑 형상에 의한 불균일한 부유식 해상공항의 유탄성 운동)

  • Very Large Floating Structures have been planned for effective utilization of ocean space in recent years. The nonerctangular VLFS usually has a control tower to guide airplane securely. This paper presents an effective method for calculating the wave induced hydroelastic responses of VLFS considering the effect of control tower-shapes. The source and dipole distribution method is used to calculate the plate. The rigidity matrix for VLFS is formulated by finite element method using a plate theory. The calculated results for nonerctangular VLFS with a control tower are compared with those for VLFS without a control tower.

A Study on Fatigue Characteristics of Dissimilar Spring Steel(SUP9A)-SM25C by Friction Welding (스프링강(SUP9A)-SM25C의 이종재 마찰용접 피로특성에 관한 연구)

  • The friction-welding SM25C is a substitute for the suing steel that is utilized in the machinery, airplane, and automobile, ok. This substitution would provide reduction of material and weight of welding parts. From the result we found that the strength of the friction welded joint was 529-617MPa and the toughness 1.2 times higher than that of the base metal. The optimal condition of friction welding was found as follows : n=2000rpm, $P_1$=68㎫, $P_2$=137MPa, $t_2$=2sec, $t_1$=2-4sec, Considering the strength, the hardness, and the reduction of area in the friction welding, the fiction welding using SUP9A and SM25C was found to cause no problem in on-the-job application.

  • We propose a robust equalization algorithm to improve the performance of airplane flutter casuing dynamic ghosts. The algorithm is an augumentation of the DFE with training sequence(DFE-TS) with the Modified Stop-and-Go Algorithm(MSGA) based on DFE structure, which is called a DFE-TS/MSGA. This will allow the equalizer to switch itself back to blind mode almost instantaneously when drastic and sudden changes in the channel occur. Test results based on the 8-VSB HDTV receiver show that the proposed algorithm is robust against dynamic ghosts and outperforms the conventional DFE-TS in reducing the intersymbol interference.

  • This paper shows two models of the TMR system- fail passive system - having a fault tolerant system characteristic used in airplane and railway system. We design the single system, single-voter TMR system and triplicated voter TMR system based on MC68000 and calculate the failure rate of components using MIL-SPEC-217F and evaluate the reliability and MTTF(Mean Time To Failure) of the designed systems by Markov model.
