  • This paper has proposed a method to analyze a 30 KVA superconducting generator using 3-dimensional FEM program. 3 kinds of 3D formulation methods are employed such as scalar potential in core region, reduced scalar potential in air region and T-${\omega}$ formulation in stator coil region. As results of the simulation, various parameters of the generator have been analyzed like air gap flux density, induced voltage, inductance, etc.

  • In the nuclear power plant, emergency core coolant system (ECCS) is furnished at reactor coolant system (RCS) in order to cool down high temperature water in case of emergency. However, in this coolant system, thermal stratification phenomenon can be occurred due to coolant leaking in the check valve. The thermal stratification produces excessive thormal stresses at the pipe wall so as to yield thermal fatigue crack (TFC) accident. In the present study, when the turbulence penetration occurs in the branch pipe, the maximum temperature differences of fluid at the pipe cross-sections of the T-branch with thermal stratification are examine.

  • This paper deals with the conceptual design and characteristic analysis of core type superconducting motor using iron cores in the field. As the objective function of conceptual design, the flux quantity per pole is selected. In order to reduce the quantity of superconductors, the variations of flux quantity per pole by changing the design variables and area are investigated. Finally, the quantity of superconductors between air-cored and core type superconducting motor is compared under the same motor capacity. In addition, the dimensions and volumes of motors are compared.

  • Variations of core loss and coercivity with heat treatment condition have been studied in amorphous ribbon core specimens. All measurements were performed at 10 kHz with a maximum induction of 0.1 T. With increasing annealing time, both core loss and coercivity of core specimens decreased first, reaching minimum values, and increased thereafter. Specimen heat treated in an air showed better soft magnetic properties than those treated in Ar atmosphere. The specimens annealed under magnetic field higher than 6 Oe in radial direction showed reduced core loss and coercivity. The field annealing effects were increased with increasing cooling rate near Curie temperature of the material. The specimen annealed under an applied field in perpendicular direction of the core showed increased coercivity and decreased permeability.

  • Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is the basic strategy for enterprises to obtain competitive advantages, and reflects the most basic value orientation and development concept of enterprises. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between corporate culture, innovation ability and core competitiveness of enterprises from the perspective of corporate social responsibility, and to establish a model and analyze the survey data of 32 agricultural science and technology enterprises in Tianjin by using SPSS23.0. As a result of the study, we found that corporate social responsibility (Ethical responsibility, Philanthropic responsibility) has a significant positive impact on corporate culture and innovation ability, corporate culture has a significant positive impact on innovation ability and corporate core competitiveness, and innovation ability has a significant positive impact on corporate core competitiveness. Therefore, it is suggested that agricultural science and technology enterprises should fulfill their social responsibilities, form a unique corporate culture, serve agriculture with science and technology, and constantly improve the ability of agricultural science and technology innovation, so as to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises.

Discrimination between FRC-post and core according to the color difference (색상차이에 따른 FRC-포스트와 코어 사이의 구별)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate which FRC-posts were more distinguishable from core. Materials and Methods: Nine extracted single-rooted mandibular premolars with similar lengths (${\pm}0.5 mm$) and widths (${\pm}0.5 mm$) were endodontically treated and obturated. One specimen which the three roots were embedded in a cold mounting resin was made. 3 specimens were made by this method. Post spaces were prepared for the following post system: FRC $Postec^{(R)}$ Plus, MACRO-$LOCK^{TM}$ POST $ILLUSION^{TM}$ $XRO^{(R)}$, $Snowpost^{(R)}$. After three different posts were placed in the roots of a specimen, each three specimens received a direct core build-up: $Luxacore^{(R)}$ Dual A3, $Luxacore^{(R)}$ Dual blue, $Filtek^{TM}$ Z350 A1E. Digital images were taken of the post and core with and without air-blowing. We asked to fifty dentists and fifty dental college students which post was more clearly discriminated from the core. Results: In surveys, when core was $Luxacore^{(R)}$ Dual blue, among three types of posts people more easily discriminated the $Snowpost^{(R)}$ from core. When core was $Luxacore^{(R)}$ Dual A3, among three types of posts people similarly more easily discriminated $Snowpost^{(R)}$ from core. When core was $Filtek^{TM}$ Z350 A1E, among three types of posts people more easily discriminated distinguished MACRO-$LOCK^{TM}$ POST $ILLUSION^{TM}$ $XRO^{(R)}$ post from core. People more easily distinguished MACRO-$LOCK^{TM}$ POST $ILLUSION^{TM}$ $XRO^{(R)}$ post from core when temperature was lowered by air-blowing. Conclusion: Ability to discriminate between FRC-post and core is different according to color contrast. MACRO-$LOCK^{TM}$ POST $ILLUSION^{TM}$ $XRO^{(R)}$ posts are more discriminable when temperature is lowered by air-blowing.

  • The reduction of $CO_2$ emissions has been a key target in the Marine Industry since the IMO's Marine Environment Protection Committee published its findings in 2009. The representative emission index is termed as the EEDI (Energy Efficiency Design Index) for the new ships. Among various flow control techniques ever proposed, the air lubrication method is the one of most promising one in terms of practical applicability. The present study examines the basic characteristics of the flat plate test with intention of applying the air lubrication technology to the reduction of the resistance of a ship. Image analysis technique is proposed as a tool to quantify the effectiveness of the air lubrication method.

A Miniature Air-Bearing Positioning Stage with a Magnet-Moving Linear Motor (영구자석 이동형 선형 모터를 가진 초소형 공기베어링 스테이지)

  • In this paper, a new air bearing stage with magnetic preload and a linear motor has been developed for the small precision machine systems. The new air bearing stage is unique in the sense that permanent magnets attached bottom of the iron core of table are used not only for preloading air bearings in vertical direction but also for generating thrust force by current of the coil at base. The characteristics of air bearings using porous pads were analyzed with numerical method, and the magnetic circuit model was derived for linear motor for calculating required preload force and thrust force. A prototype of single axis miniature stage with size of $120(W){\times}120(L){\times}50(H)\;mm^3$ was designed and fabricated and examined its performances, vertical stiffness, load capacity, thrust force and positioning resolution.
